Golf V R32 :: Rapid Coolant Leak Just Beside Oil Filter Underneath Air Intake

So far it was the coldest day this early morning at 5am when i went to work here LA at 55 degrees i don't know if it had something to do with this coolant leak. Iwent home from work at 1:30 pm. 2 miles away from home, i get the STOP Coolant warning on the display check manual .

After parking at home, saw some smoke in front of the car maybe because the engine was hot and the coolant spraying in the engine bay some hitting the Evoms intake and there's a lot of coolant liquid just beside the oil filter underneath the air intake. also saw lots of coolant leaked into the floor surface.

I went inside got some coolant and filled with coolant almost full. after taking a nap,drove the R too see if the coolant warning is gone. not even 50 meters coolant warning lit. drove for 1.5 miles to Century City mall to buy stuff, after parking, i popped the hood then surprised, coolant tank was TOTALLY EMPTY! Engine was hot as well, decided to call tow truck.

I hope it's just a lose coolant hose.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Assuming Car Clogged Because Of Rough Idle

After putting on a o2 spacer my CEL cleared. I finally got some downtime so I parked the car in the garage to chase electrical gremlins, do the timing belt, and replace the downpipe and catalytic converter. Lately it's been sounding like I have quite the exhaust leak so that spurred me into doing a little quicker. Long story short I got the cat out and after looking inside of it I see this .

The inside of the cat is completely bare, not even a remnant of any form of honeycomb. So was this a hollowed out cat or did everything deteriorate and blowout. I was assuming my cat was clogged because of my rough idle lately... but looks like I was dead wrong.

Now for additional info.

2001 Jetta 2.0 AEG 220K miles

Previously had a CEL for the catylst below threshold

I can't currently check my codes because the OBD2 isn't reading/connecting, but that's not related.

Nissan - Frontier :: 1999 - Stumbling Sporadically - Could It Possibly Be A Clogged Fuel Filter?

I have a 1999 Nissan Frontier, 4cy, 5speed. About a week ago, it began stumbling sporadically so my first thought was that maybe a spark plug had fouled. I changed the spark plugs, and the problem persisted. At this point, I begin thinking maybe it's a fuel issue. I went to Advance and bought Lucas Oil fuel system treatment and added it to the 1/2 tank of gas I had at the time. Going home from Advance it ran great. No stumbling. However, it started again the next day. I ran out that 1/2 tank of fuel and filled up again and it is still doing the same thing. It idles a little rough, and stumbles while going up through the RPM range between shifts. Once I get up to highway speed in 5th gear, it seems to do okay. Should I add more fuel injector cleaner or maybe SeaFoam? Could it possibly be a clogged fuel filter?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 12v VR6 Intake Shifter Rod Noise Won't Go Away

I recently noticed a rattling coming from my intake manifold and with little research I discovered it was the intake shifter rod. I ordered the new updated bushings and installed them today and the rod continues to rattle just as bad. My car only has 90k and I am unsure what to do to fix the noise. I am hesitant to order a whole new shifter rod because it could be the manifold itself too worn. I am just curious if there is anything that I may have overlooked or if there is anything I can do.

I have a 337 with Injen cai. Well, I have since removed the cai due to the fact that rainwater/water during a car wash will run off the hood and onto the top of the inside of the drivers side fender (under hood) and eventually run down onto the filter itself, thus causing it to become water logged. Ford Fuel System :: Fuel Filter Is Clogged When Turn Over The Engine

Is it fair to assume that my filter is clogged when I turn over the engine and fuel does NOT come out of the filter with the uphill line disconnected. I was able to disconnect the rear line from filter and fuel DID pump out of line when I cranked it over. Been dealing with a crank no start, I'm in the process of trying to test my CPS properly but not sure if I'm testing it right.

I have a 01 vr6 mk4 gti. When I bought the car I noticed a rattle but never paid mind to it. But now I just want it fixed. I hear the rattle come from the back of the engine near the intake manifold when I rev it a little. The most rpms the louder the rattle . I been doing some research and came to a conclusion that it could be the shift rod and bad intake bushing. But, I'll like a link on how to replace the shift rod.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Whistle Under Acceleration / Sensor Located On Intake Tube

I have a 02 2.0 Jetta with 179k

Have that pesky "whistle under acceleration" when past 1/4 throttle issue. I have been going over the entire engine, checking and cleaning.

-----On the intake tube where the 1 inch case vent and half inch tube meet there is a Flapper/Flow check with a electrical connector directly on top.

Question being, is this a flow sensor? The flapper is distorted and does not function properly.. is this an issue?

I have a APR stage 2 chip that should normally be pushing 17psi. But today I noticed it has dropped to only about 15 psi at 3k rpm and at about 4.5k rpm it drops to about 10 psi. I also then noticed my oil filter was covered in oil and it was not leaking oil before today. I have a stock K03s turbo and I am really lost on what the problem could be. I want to check for boost leaks sometime this week, but I'm curious as to what else it could be.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: High Pitched Noise / Whoosh Sound From Intake At Low Rpm When Car Is Cold

I have a 2002 jetta 1.8t with unitronic stage 2 ECU and following mods:

ssqv BOV with recirc fitting (so acts like a DV)

3 inch open downpipe

Water/Meth injacetion (-35c washer fluid)

Short ram intake+heat sheild.

Spring loaded wastegate.

So for a while now I could hear a very quiet high pitched sound along with a whoosh sound from the intake at low rpm when the car is cold, after 5-10 minutes of driving the sound changes to where i just hear the wooosh from the intake, no high pitched.

I went out, let my car park for about an hour or 2 in 0c temp. went to drive it,everything is fine, the car just hit 90c. so i floored it, but traction control was on and i have winter tires, so it barley got to 4k rpm. CEL started flashing, no throttle control, really annoying high pitched sound from engine bay with lightest touch of throttle. the trubo was boosting to 22 psi and holding up to 16 PSI at redline before this happened.

The car would struggle to stay at idle, massive vibrations. but after reeving to 2k+ rpm no issue staying at that rpm, no blue/black smoke from exhaust. i scanned it and only got misfire codes and this strange code : "17925 - power supply relay for ecu (J271 or J363): electrical malfunction"

I had to clear the codes 3-4 times and restart the car 3 times for the power supply relay code to go away. but all the misfires, the high pitched sound stayed. it would misfire while driving, then stop, and then again.

I also logged with VCDS, and flooring it from 2k rpm to 2.6k rpm resulted in 0 extra boost over idle (idle boost was 980mbar).

Is my turbo blown 100% because of that sound, or could it be something else causing the "dentist drill" sound? And what about the power relay issue for ECU, could this cause any of the symptoms?

Passat (B6) :: 2007 - Where Is The Exterior Air Intake Filter

I'm at 101k miles, and haven't changed the exterior air intake filter on my 07' B6. I'm experiencing a slight loss of power, and the engine is relatively loud/"gruffy". Had coil packs and spark plugs replaced, oil is changed, as well as PCV work performed. So I'm thinking that the filter could be the problem. Maybe carbon build up too?

Question, I have a 2003 VW Golf GLS 2.0L AHV (5 speed). The brake vacuum line is cracked after the check valve on the intake side. I looked up the part number on the hose (at work and don't have it on me at the moment), did some research and noticed some revisions to that part number. Eventually settled on [URL] ..... (I ordered a new one since I needed to order a few things). Needless to say, I am beginning to think I ordered wrong.

I noticed that the check valve on the new hose has a 3rd piece that a smaller hose looks to clamp on? The check valve that is in my car doesn't have that. Did I order the wrong part? or did I need to be a cap?

It makes a weird 'fppp' air shooting noise before the exhaust note and my 2003 gti vr6 makes the exact same noise. It sounds like it's coming from the intake manifold valve and not really the filter, but I'm not sure and yes my filter is clean, the noise also sounds a little bit more obnoxious and problematic in real life.
