Golf IV R32 :: Cruise Control Isn't Working
Is it plug and play. My cruise control hasn't work. Numbers look right on vag and switches/fuses are all good. So I am left to assume its the stalk.

So i had a long drive yesterday and i decided to use Cruise Control. I rarely use it, but I have tried it in the past and it worked. So yesterday it didn't work. The light never came on in the dash and it never actually worked. I plan on mentioning it to the dealer when i bring it in next time but i was wondering if there was something i could check for myself. Such as a fuse?

So I noticed my temp gauge was starting to rise when I was on the freeway. I figured my fans were out but I just opened my hood and both fans were spinning. When I turned the car off both fans turned off but the temp gauge was almost into the red.
In the morning I turned on my AC and only the passenger side fan was working.
So I am not really sure what my next diagnostic step should be. The engine was not radiating any heat so I am not sure that it is even actually running that hot. Could it possibly be the temperature gauge? If I got a vagcom would I be able to check the actual temperature from there?
I am also concerned on how to find out if the fans are running at both speeds at the appropriate times.
Not sure if this is related but my cruise control stopped working a few weeks ago also.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Speedometer Stopped Working / Cruise Control Does Not Work
I am proud new owner of a 03 Mk4 Bora GLI. I have some issues that I could use a hand with. My symptoms are as follows:
1. Speedometer stopped working.
2. Fuel gauge goes on the fritz (rapidly declines) when parked on an incline or going around corners.
3. Cruise control does not work. "Cruise" light come on the dash but the set/reset button on the stalk does nothing.
Note: All fuses are in tact.

My Cruise control hasn't been working for a while now when i first bought the car it would work when it wanted to... sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't or even sometimes it would work then all of a sudden while its in cruise it would just stop working
Now I want to fix this problem and get it to work again what should i start to look for, what could be some common stuff that I should look for I heard the cruise control is a PITA to fix once they stop working. I don't know much about the cruise control so where i should start and what I should look for first...

I just purchased my 98 1.8t manual and for the most part it was a steal. Only 108k miles. Everything is strong just a few minor things. Right now I want to get my cruise control working. Is there a light in the dash that goes on? What are the fuses related to it? Nothing happens when I turn it on or hold the button to set it. what should I look for?

I have a 99 1.8t my cruise control is not working. when i try to turn it on there's no light saying cruise on my dash. i let go of the gas to see if the cruise is working but nothing happens. what could be the reason? could it be one of the fuses?

The cruise control on my 2002 Chevy 1/2 ton Silverado doesn't work. Went to boneyard and bought a module but it didn't fix my issue. Borrowed a multimeter and tested the cruise control module plugin. The only pin that came up with a incorrect reading was the first brake test. It's suppose to have 12 volts with brake pedal up but showed about 30, so I changed the brake light switch. Still no cruise control.
Since I have a high reading on the brake pin, do you think I have a wire issue there or would my problem be in the multi switch wires by the steering wheel?
Avalon 2005-12 :: Cruise Control Working Intermittently For A While
The cruise control on my '05 Avalon Limited was working intermittently for a while. I'd hit the button to turn it on and nothing. Then a few miles down the road, I'd hit it again and it would work just fine. Today I tried to turn it on and nothing. Three different trips today and no luck.

I recently bought a 1997 Park Avenue and have a couple of repair questions.1) The car is in need of struts/shocks. The rear has air shocks. Before I purchase new air shocks, how do I test the compressor to make sure there is no problem? If the compressor is bad, is it possible to install conversion shocks and do away with the compressor/ air shocks?2) The previous owner says the cruise control does not work. On rare occasions it will work for a brief time during the winter. What things can I check out? Someone suggested checking the brake light switch.

I have this weird problem with the cruise control of my 2002 elantra gt: I cannot set the cruise control at 30 or 40 mph, but I can do it somewhere above that (just went to the highway and set it around 60 mph). What could be the problem? Do cruise control systems need calibration or would I have to replace it?
