Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Removal Entire Dash?
I want to remove my whole dash to paint it but i cant figure out what is holding it in,i removed all the black screws from one side to the other the screws under the tabs by the windshield and it still feels like its being held in somewhere underneath?

My question is the little bulb in the top of the headlight housing i see is like a blue or LED color, yet i cannot find anything about them anywhere. I have a friend with a 96 4.6 4x4. He tried to put a new starter. He couldn't figure out how to get it out! So I got called out. I can barely get under this dam thing. I'm lost on how it comes out. It stuck by oil pan and front diff housing. It not much that I'm stuck by 1/4" at most.

My front passenger headlight seems to go out after starting and driving for a little. I just replaced the bulbs a few weeks ago and it just happened again. I did notice that the one headlight does flicker after turning on. After looking at the headlight it does appear that some moisture had gotten inside the housing. I don't want to take apart the headlight and reseal it and still have the same problem. Does the ballest need to be replaced also or does something have to be cleaned?

I've removed 3 bolts ( Headlight assembly removal)and loosened the number cover to be gridlocked by something I cannot see or just a bit more friction than the amount of force I'm willing to give for fear of breaking something.

When I turn my AC on nothing happens. I get no air, hot or cold coming out of the vents on settings 1, 2, and 3. Then when i turn it to 4 cold air blasts out. It also gets very loud and vibrates the entire car when I'm idling.

I dont want to pry on the wrong thing and brake something. I am trying to remove the headlight. I was told that their are some pins that need to be pulled up. I dont see any pins. I do see two plastic clips on each side of the headlight. They are flat on the top with a small slot in them. There is a "T" stamped on the top of it. Are these the pins? I tried to find a shop manual today without much luck. Looking for a picture to show the pins that need to be removed.

So it's been raining here a lot on the East Coast lately, especially in NJ and last night after getting out of work there were some few small floods I had to go through in order for me to get back home. I have a 2015 gti se 2 door. The seal between the door and the mirror housing is out of place. I would like to loosen the housing and adjust the rubber seal. I see a cap inside the door Opposite the mirror, and believe that's how I'd do it.

Came out of a turn, went to grab third, clutch went to the floor and didn't come back. Stopped, pumped pedal for a bit, managed to get into first and milked it home. There's nothing leaking, but fluid level was low. I topped fluid, pumped pedal and bled the block at the tranny, pressure came up and I was able to engage gears. Pulled into garage and same issue, no pressure and clutch won't disengage. Pedal is soft. I'm thinking I managed to get some air in the system. Question is if the slave failed, wouldn't I have a leak at the bell housing?
Do I have to drop the tranny to bleed the slave? Also, my stock clutch on APR stage 1 was doing ok before this issue. There was chatter and/or other noises in the clutch at take off but no real issue with slipping. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and replace the clutch. I'll be dropping the trans on a rack in my friends shop.
Golf VI R :: Side Mirror Bottom Housing And Indicator Replacement
I have recently bought a MK VI Golf and my brother hit a metal bin while he was trying it out. This cracked the indicator lens and the indicator is broken. I'm trying to replace the bottom housing which is stuck with the indicator, however I can only find videos on removing the upper cap or removing the actual mirror. The part I have bought to for the replacement is this:

I just installed my brand new coil overs. I went to drop the car from the jack and as it lowered I noticed my strut mount fully popped out of the strut mount housing. I can't even close my hood. Did I do something wrong?

Finally got around to replacing my Thermostat because the DIY here made it look so much easier than removing the alternator and such. Did everything exactly as described and after assembling everything with the new t-stat and O-ring I am getting a constant leak from the housing. I tried removing everything and reassembling...all the bolts are tight. Plastic housing isn't cracked and seems to be in great shape. Everything lines up properly but coolant is just running out of the bottom of the housing. Am I missing some magical trick here?

Long story short, over torqued the top two stretch bolts and destroyed the threads. We helicoil'ed both holes and put the bolts back in. That was about 4 months ago.
Today both bolts snapped not while moving. We dolly'd the car home and bought a replacement bracket, however all three bolts along the bottom that go into the transmission housing broke off inside.
I'm a tad stuck at this point. I could drill and tap new holes over the existing, but i question whether that is a good idea. My other thought was to get 3 of the larger stretch bolts that go in the top, completely drill out the three that are broken and tap the big ones in. This thought would also require drilling the bracket to make the larger bolts fit.
