Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Replaced Plugs / Coils Now Truck Won't Start
Yesterday I decided to tune up my 2003 5.4 for the 1st time at 82k miles. I replaced all 8 coils with MSD coils & motorcraft plugs. After doing so I went to turn over the ignition & got 1 single click, motor wouldn't even turn over. Battery is 3 months. Truck ran just fine prior to tune up other than the slight misfire I was starting to get.
When I was working on the passenger side I did disconnect the big bracket that had the multiple wire harness on the fire wall underneath the starter solenoid to gain access to the rear plug/coil. Where to start troubleshooting? I checked the fuses under the hood & dash but nothing looked blown.
On a side note I remember when I was putting everything away I tried to lock the truck with the Ford factory transmitter & it wouldn't lock?! I had to open the door & press the power lock button to lock the doors.

I have a 2004 Ford Taurus SEL with the Duratec 24 valve DOHC, had an accident and the engine compartment power distribution box broke and have been having different issues since. I found a wrecked 2006 ford taurus with an intact box, can I use the 2006 on the 2004? Is there anything I need to make sure of first? The part numbers seem to be the same although at ford they sell different ones.

I was driving home and I lost power in my engine. When I gave it gas you can hear it miss fire and loose power I got it home and it starts and idles but not smooth. What should I be looking into at this point? I'll check the coils and plugs now but I'm not sure after that. I heard about a bad ecu but it still runs so idk.

My wife's 89 Aerostar is leaking brake fluid from the back side of what is either the distribution block or combination valve. I am not sure which it is but it is the first block you run into following the lines from the master cylinder and it is right below it near the fender well.
The part has been discontinued and is too expensive anyway so I am looking for input as to what this peice is and if / how to rebuild it.

00 Silverado 1500 Z71.. What is the location of the HVAC distribution servo?? I found the air blend servo under dash. Only getting air blowing out of Defrost. I switched the head unit and got same result. Also tried the reset as suggested by Jcat, neither one worked.

I started getting the 5 sets of 5 beeps which indicates an airbag error. My light doesn't come on when I turn off the passenger airbag switch and the light on the dash doesn't come on when I first cut the key on, so I started checking fuses. The airbag fuse, #22 tested fine. But while checking these things I found out that I have no power to the following fuses;
1. #16 headlights (hi beams), cluster (high beam indicator).
2. #18 instrument illumination (dimmer switch power).
3. #20 Audio, GEM, PCM, Transmission range sensor.
4. #21 DTR sensor, Clutch switch, Starter relay, I/P fuse 20.
5. #26 Right-hand low beam headlight.
6. #27 Foglamp relay and foglamp indicator, Main light switch (upstream).
7. #28 Left-hand low beam headlight.
All of the headlights, etc are working and the only service engine error I get when I use my code scanner is P0401. Why would these items work if I'm not getting power to the fuse block. These fuses are not blown mind you, not getting power to either side of the fuses.
I'm going to replace the bulb in the passenger side airbag switch, but what would keep the warning light on the dash from lighting up when I turn the switch on?
The truck is an 03 F150 XL, 2wd automatic transmission. Very basic work type truck, no fog lights, no power windows or doors, etc. It has the 4.6 Romeo engine in it.

i have a 1997 150 4.6l with 166xxx miles. when ever you go to take off there will be no power and then all off the sudden it will shoot up too 4000rpm and then you back off it will be fine. Until you stop and go again. Also when ever you come up to a stop it drops down to 500rpm. What might be going on?

Truck ran fine yesterday. Go out to get in it today and the dome and door lights do not come on. No chime when inserting key, turn key and nothing. No dash lights, no head lights, no clicks, no buzz. Absolutely nothing.
I checked and the battery has 12.8Vdc. Both master fuses on the firewall read good. All fuses in the under hood fuse box read good. I am confused. Where to start looking?
Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: 2000 - Power Steering Gone Out
Purchased new 2000 F150 5.4 automatic 2wd now the power steering has gone out. I read all the things about the intermediate shaft seizing up so sprayed and prayed until I finally broke down and ordered a new one. Well I just pulled off the original with over 250,000 miles it seems like new. The tiny u-joints are very free moving (not sloppy at all) and the sliding shaft works fine.
I'm starting to worry that the power steering pump is shot although it was not squealing or groaning. I do have some tie rod and ball joint squeaks, could that be it? I'm really frustrated thinking it was going to be a simple intermediate shaft replacement now I've got a brand new one and the same problem. The lower power steering hose was pretty grimy but I figured that was all of the PBlaster I'd been spraying on it.
I'm going to jack it up and try moving the wheels back and forth to see if it is binding anywhere. Was reading about a high pressure switch but where that even is or if the 2000 has it.

I've got a 1997 4x4 xlt with a recently rebuilt engine less than 2000 miles on it I just replaced the fuel filter fuel pump and the relay and what's wrong some times the fuel pump will turn on sometimes it won't don't know what to do now. I have a '99 F-150 SC, 4x4, 4.6L, with 48,000 miles. I drove approximately 15 miles, then parked for 20 minutes. When I returned, the truck wouldn't do anything when the key was switched to start. It's as though there was no power going to the starter. Could it be a problem with the immobizer system, or just a freak incident with how I handled the key? The truck ended up starting after another 15 minutes and has consistantly started for the remainder of the day.

I have a 97 F150XL 4x4 a few days ago i was driving and i started to lose power i had to take it out of overdrive just to maintain 60mph by the end of the day it took a good 45 seconds to a full minute to get up to 10 mph. I have a 1999 f150 with a 4.6L 2wd 278k miles. I got this truck from my cousin about a year ago and it ran ok but not much power. It sat a few months and I tried to start it and nothing. I replaced the fuel filter and pump and battery. It starts but runs very rough. I then replaces both coil packs, plugs and wires. It idles rough but seems to run fine in park besides some popping and shuttering when I give it gas until the rpms are up around 3k, it smooths out.
I put it in gear and it completely looses power and barely wants to move. Only code that showed was the egr, I removed and cleaned and no change besides no codes at all now. it still will barely move. I have looked for any vacc lines that might have came off but do not see any out of place. the heater core has been bypassed and exhaust has leaks from someone welding on new exhaust and not being able to weld good. Also it smells like it is running rich.
