Lexus RX 2004-09 :: HID Headlight Assembly Replacement?
My headlights suffered from the dreaded condensation problem. I brought them to Lexus after getting the warranty enhancement paperwork and had them replaced. Shortly after the passenger side wheel cover was ripped off after getting caught on some ice during a storm. It was very shortly after that that condensation begin appearing in my passenger side headlight.
At that point I was unaware that the wheel well cover had been ripped off. I brought it back to Lexus to have it looked at since I only had the headlight replaced a few weeks before. I was told it would be at a cost of $2,500 to replace with an additional $400 for the wheel well cover. Needless to say, I did not have the work done that day. While I was waiting them for them to finish the paperwork I bought the wheel well cover for $50 online but since then I've had difficulty locating the headlight.
I brought it to my mechanic and he was unable to find the headlight as well. I have a 2009 rx350 with HID AFS headlights. I have looked on ebay, Amazon and just through the internet to see what I could find but I'm finding only halogen headlights. Most of what I'm seeing on eBay are for non-adaptive lights that are damaged.

I'm trying to replace my dads 2007 Camry XLE japan built headlight assembly because his are insanely oxidized. Besides OEM's and CAPA's, what else are there? Any good aftermarket headlight assembly and achieve great results?

The drivers side headlight assembly on my 2008 Prius has moisture in it. I have 52,000 miles on the car, so I do not think it is covered under warranty. What / how can you replace the headlight assembly?

The fuel gauge sender quit the other day so Im replacing the pump assembly. I believe in replacing fuel and ignition related parts with factory equipment. So I was going to get a Ford Motorcraft pump, but my wife checked for one through her work(local parts store). The counter guy found one that said original equipment, called them and was told "It is the same pump that gets installed on the assembly line". Well it came in today and its a Delphi. I was expecting a Ford pump. I associate Delphi with GM and I know GM pumps go out all the time. I know Ford pumps go out too, but I know several people with GMs that have replaced pumps multiple times within 100000 miles. Is Delphi worth taking a chance on?

In what limited information I can find it looks like I have to pull the dashboard to get to these things. Seems extreme to pull a dash, but then again this is not my 67-Rambler.

I have a 2001 Ford Excursion. I had all 4 ball joints replaced and now I am experiencing poor steering and drivability. While driving in town and on the freeway I am constantly having to correct the steering. The car wants to dart to the right and then dart to the left. It will not drive straight for very long. Constant steering correction is very tiring, especially on long trips. Need to understand what is happening to my vehicle. What can I do to remedy the problem? The steering was not near as bad before the ball joint replacement.

It's time to replace my axle bearing and hub assembly. Looking at RiffRaff site they show 3 different models. Early 99, fine course and course. I think I have the course thread but just want to make sure before I order. My truck is a L99 and I don't have the abs sensor. Looks like all 3 have come with the abs sensor. Several weeks ago someone backed into my '97 RAV4 in a parking lot. Body shop charged around $900 for the repair (estimate indicates labor for both headlights, but doesn't look like they replaced them). This afternoon one of the low beam headlights burned out. I went to change both sides just to be safe. On both headlight assemblies, grasping the wire assemblies to the low beam bulbs, the headlight assembly on both the left and right side is loose within its housing. I've changed the bulbs in the past, this is something new. Take it back to the body shop? What happened????

A few weeks ago my 2010 Prius was involved in a minor front end collision. The car has since been repaired. Today I noticed that the passenger side headlight assembly (which was replaced) doesn't seem to fit quite right. There is a small gap between the assembly and the body panel at the most extreme point on the side of the car. Is this just a cosmetic issue, or could water seep in at the location and cause internal damage?
