Ford - E150 :: 1997 - When Turn On Climate Control Unit No Air From Any Vents Above Or Below Dash
I have a 97 E-150 with A/C. When I turn on the climate control unit to either heat or a/c and the blower motor fan control switch to any setting I do not feel anything coming from any vents above or below the dash. However every once in awhile I can hear that it is putting a small strain on the motor as the motor tends to bog down a little like it normally does when the a/c is on. When the heater control unit is turned off there is no strain on the motor.
I don't want to go replacing things and blowing money that isn't necessary on parts that aren't bad. I would like to get this fixed before the cold weather actually gets here.
Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Climate Control Unit - Blower Won't Work
Have an 07, currently i have the dash all apart and replaced the climate control unit because the blower wouldnt work. Plugged it in and it tested it. Still no blower. What more do i need to check?

View 7 RepliesFord Wiring/Electrical :: 2008 - With Climate Control On CC Won't Work - Printer Noise Form Dash?
Just purchased a 2008 F250 V10 Crew Cab with 64,000 miles. The truck has some electrical issues that didnt show up during the test drive/inspection. It seems that the HVAC head unit causes some interesting things to happen. The most obivous problem is that when you turn the climate control on and turn the fan speed up the CC will not work. If you turn the fan off but leave the HVAC control on CC starts working. At this point you can turn the fan speed back up and everything stays working. Not sure if its related but it also has the printer noise going on behind the dash which Ive read is the one of the blend door actuators going bad and the keyless entry pad will not accept a personal code(everything else works on it, factory code, lights up, two button lock). Any checks?
View 1 RepliesFord Wiring/Electrical :: Moving Engine And Ignition System - Wiring Harness For Further Use?
I plan on moving the engine/drivetrain from my 1986 F350 460 to my 1996 F250. I also want to move over the 1986's ignition system with a Duraspark 2 setup.
Although I could just cut in the easiest places to remove the wiring for later reuse I am looking for where to make the cuts, what to take and what to scrap. Alternatively I am also asking if there are aftermarket or OEM replacement sets out there are aren't a ton of money. The current harness in the 1986 has been sprayed with engine oil and cooked for 27 years so I am looking at alternative options if there are any.
Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Battery Lights And Climate Control Black Out?
2003 F150 Super Crew. I replaced a dead battery and now notice the climate control quits working (blacks out) after a few seconds, and a battery light comes on the dash. If I turn the truck off and wait a moment and then restart, the climate control will light up and work but after a few seconds, same thing, it blacks out and quits, battery light on the dash.

2002 F-150 XLT 4x4 5.4L... I am looking for wiring schematic for the engine control system. I purchased a haynes repair manual from Auto Zone yesterday but the diagram seems very generic and the colors are wrong for the O2 sensor for example. Right now my truck is in "Limp mode" Fuse is blown and I am trying to find out what all is on that particular circuit its Fuse 23 and the haynes manual says fuse 24 which my truck doesn't even have a 24.

Ford Wiring/Electrical :: 1997 F250 HD Manual Trans - Cruise Control Inopertive
1997 F250 HD 7.3L It is a May build so is mainly 1996 parts. Came from the factory with auto transmission but PO did manual swap. Truck had factory cruise control but never worked after the swap. I found clutch safety switch missing so installed that and now it works as far as truck only starting with clutch in and other pins ohm good but it didn't fix the no cruise issue. All the diagrams I can find are wrong so I am stumped.
Horn works and steering wheel brushes appear to be functional.
Brake switch has 12V in and out so I think it is ok.
Brake switch on master cylinder has power in and out so I believe it is ok.
All brake lights work since I read that diagrams don't show it but they are somehow tied into the cruise.
I believe the issue is in the clutch safety switch (CPPS) wiring as I only have power on one wire however my colors don't match my Haynes or online diagrams. Also, no where can I find if this circuit runs on hot 12V or ground. Some wrong diagrams show hot 12V coming in on the light green wire from the brake switch but others show a hard ground on the red/Blu wire.
Most diagrams say I should have red/LtBlu, Red/LtGrn, LtGrn, Gray/Yellow. I actually have Red/Blue, White/Red, Tan/Blue, White/Brn. The White/Brn has power coming into the switch.
The connector for the automatic transmission column shifter is disconnected and the shifter was removed. I read that this needed to be jumpered to the tan/blue wire after a conversion on the CPPS but only on 2002 and up trucks so I don't think this affects me. That plug is for overdrive cancel.
Looking for a good diagram for a manual shift, diesel cruise control circuit that shows my color wires on the CPPS? I have had this truck 2 months and have fixed everything except this and will be making a long trip soon so cruise would be nice to have functional but I am stumped.
Ford Excursion :: 2002 7.3L - Wiring Harness For Brake Controller
I am going to be pulling a trailer next week. I bought a raybestos voyager XP controller. I expected it to be plug and play but what I got was four wires. I have heard that there is a plug ready under the dash to plug a controller into directly. I found a gray pigtail with male ends. Is this it? Should I take controller back and get one with the correct plug or is there a harness one can buy or is a stop to my local ford dealer in the future.

As it turns out my entire dash needs to come out to repair the HVAC so thinking while it's out I should add the diesel supplemental heater. What's involved with this? I need to replace the entire HVAC plenum so imagine the version with the supplemental heater can be bought instead. I know it's an 1800W electrical heater so my main question is the wiring harness on a regular truck setup for it or do I need to change the harness. And then I suspect the HVAC control module would need to be reprogrammed as well.

I have been tracking down my ABS light and found that the left front wheel speed sensor has had the wiring harness ripped off from behind the front wheel. I have about 2ft of the harness coming off of the actual sensor.
Question is, since I cannot locate any wires that this seems to be able to be connected to, can I simply cut and splice these wires directly into the Tan/Black + Tan/Lt Green wires going straight to my ABS controller?
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Door Wiring Flex Harness Shredded
First I lost the power window functionality in the rear left door... didn't think too much of it, then I lost the power door lock functionality, which was bad because I was assuming my door was getting locked when it wasn't actually. Pulled open my door this evening and found this:
I think my truck overheard me when I was saying "I like a good electrical problem, those are my favorite." I'll solder it up to get it working tonight, and then I'll see what a new harness costs... although really they should have used ultra-fine-strand wire with silicone insulation for an application that sees lots of flexing.
My multimeter's test leads are such an example of wiring that is intended to see lots of flexing.

I want them to turn on and off with the interior lights when doors are opened.
