Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Front End Bounce While Driving On The Freeway

I have a 2011 F250 6.7 XLT crew cab with just over 50,000 miles. A couple of weeks ago while heading to work I experienced a very violent Front end bounce while driving on the freeway. My Speed was around 55-70. I experienced this front end bounce on after hitting a patched portion of asphalt on the freeway. I lost complete control of my vehicle and had to slow down almost to a complete stop in order to regain control. When I got to work I checked my tires, wheels and under carriage. I found under abnormal. Well it happened again today. Again on my way to work I hit a bumpy stop in the road and experienced this "Death wobble" (youtube it). So I decided to take it to the dealer and have it looked at. On the way there it happened a couple more times.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Jerks When Shifting From 2 To 1 While Slowing Down

Trans has new solenoids in the trans but is shifting too firm sometimes from 1-2 or 2-3.. It is tolerable going up, but when slowing down it jerks really bad from 2-1. Sounds and feels horrible for the trans and miserable during stop and go traffic. Ive had to switch it to Manual and start off in 2nd gear. Im deleted, with intake, and a custom sct x4 tune. My main question is there any way a new tune could have better shift points?

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: When Come To A Stop Sign And Slowing Down Truck Died

So about 3 days ago I made a long 9 hour drive. No problems at all but I did allow my fuel to get a little lower then I normally do. About eighth a tank had 30 miles left on the digital read out. Stopped and filled up at loves where I always get my fuel. And off I went drove it down to 3/4 a tank and made it to my stopping point. Got in to go about 7 miles down the road and come to a stop sign and slowing down the truck died. I thought crap I forgot to turn off the auto start but never done that before. Stopped and stared truck as normal. Made it to my stopping point again. Headed back to the house and doing on average 55mph and truck surges like it wants to die but doesn't.

Rpms drop below 500 and it keeps going I get to same stop sign and slowing down again doing maybe 25ish and truck dies again as I have my foot on the break. Put in nut and started it right up and drive on home. Today went about same distance. Only this time I started it with key and was doing down other things while letting it run it just dies start it back up and take off get to where I was going and it surged or hiccuped so to say. Again started it once I was getting ready to leave and let it run for about 5 min and it died had the heater on as it was chilly out by the lake. Got in and restarted it and it was blowing cold air and had a diesel smell to it. Wife asked me if truck was going to blow up. Backed out of area and put in drive and made it 80' or so and truck died again doing about 10mph

Checked so far

Batteries checked and both are good
No mods done to it
New ICP sensor and pigtail
New water pump
New injectors 20k miles ago
Oil changed 1100 miles ago
New filters upper sad lower

Passat (B6) :: Popping / Clicking Noise When Turning, Slowing Down Or Speeding Up

So i just got my car back from the dealership today. they claimed my poping/clicking noise was due to my oil catch not being secure. so they secured it for me and it doesn't move at all now and I still hear the popping/clicking noise when slowing down or speeding up abruptly and when backing out of parking spots.

I have torqued all the subframe bolts and done the subframe washer and also retorqued all the suspension bolts for the struts and the strut mounts and bearings are brand new. It almost sounds like a cv joint or some sort of ball joint popping. They said they checked the cv joint and there is no play and looks fine .

It also quiets down when its wet out but when its hot and dry its very loud and bystanders can hear the noise.

Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: 2001 - Bounce At 45 Mph - Fix?

2001 7.3 4wd srw ext cab auto 173,000 miles. Truck rides rough at certain speed. Worse at 45 mph. I have replaced tranny mounts,new Michelin tires,replaced aftermarket rims with rims that are correct and balanced.Transmission was rebuilt,works very good, I have receipt. This truck had 2" extenders on the hubs when I bought it,have since removed these,that worked with bounce issues. When I replaced tires I thought I had cured the issue but now after 1000 miles it is back. I am ready to just ride it out until it becomes worse and identifies itself. Tires needed replacing,so did tranny mounts,it is frustrating bouncing along not knowing if it could be an easy fix or not.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Power Steering Lines Has Been Rubbing On Top Of Driver Side Front Shock Mount

Well about 4 days after my HPOP replacement, the ol Ford is at it again. Apparently, one of my power steering lines has been rubbing on the top of my driver side front shock mount. It let loose in a giant black plume of black smoke and grinding gears as I was pulling into the corner store. Limped her home and inspected it. From what I see, its not a terribly expensive hose and shouldn't be too terrible to replace. One thing after the other [URL] .....

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: No Front Traction Happening?

Coming up the mountains here in Ca last night. Snowing and slippery. Put truck in 4x4 light came in saying engaged. Driving very slowly and almost slid off road with two kids and wife in car. Then noticed that there was no front traction happening. Locked hubs manually and all was ok. I think this is a serious problem. If in auto and dash confirms 4x4 engaged then it should be. I am just very lucky to not have seriously hurt my family or someone else. Is this a recall on Fords part I truly think they need to be held accountable if so.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: F250 Front End Rattles?

Bought this truck back in September. I thought the ball joints were going out. So decided to replace everything i would think of. The ball joints, hub bearings, all the tie rod end parts, sway bar links & bushings, and the seals around front u-joints. Now i still have the same rattle. Sounds like a piece of metal rattling in a tube. Really it sounds like the ball joints are out, which i know they are not. Also i greased them again (Just to make sure) and no change.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2015 - Front End Grinding?

Since I bought my F350 last Jan. I have several times had prolonged instances of a severe grinding noise coming from the front end, seemingly the left side. At slow speed in a turn (shallow or steep) a horrible grinding sound is apparent as well as a vibration in the steering wheel. At 9k miles a dealer said it was the wheel bearings and replaced both sides. I now have 12.5K and it is worse than ever. My local dealer says it is normal but that has to be bull. It is is worse after I drop my fiver after towing. It is a 4x2 with the 6.7 diesel. I love the performance but this front end issue is a real problem.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Front Axle Won't Go Back In

My Front axle wont go back in! It kinda was a pain to remove too; but getting it back in is like mission impossible! I've tried turning the driveshaft, the other wheel, all kinds of stuff short if beating it with a hammer.

In an hour or so I am going to take off the diff cover and see if there is anything obvious, Id rather not but... I took it apart due to noises I was hearing up front on that axle / hub. I have all new seals and such just in case anything needed it.

I have noticed my truck makes a front end noise when I make turns, like from a main road to a side street. What seems to cause it is if there is a little dip or bump during the turn. I recently replaced the front wheel hub and upper and lower ball joints on the the driver side of my 2004 f250 CC SB 6.0 fx4. Now when I put into 4 wheel drive I get a grinding noise that sounds like a worn out break pad from that side only. It didn't do it before and it only happens in 4x4. I have replaced the wheel hubs before and it was fine. Also The needle bearing race on the axle is good.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Bad Shudder - Whole Front Of Truck Is Jumping Up And Down?

So I have had this happen 3 times so far. As I am driving, and step on the accelerator, I get a very bad shudder in the engine. The whole front of the truck is jumping up and down. Once I slow down it stops and is fine.

It has happened on the following three occasions but it is intermittent and does not do it all the time:

1. driving up a long grade at 45 mph for 5 minutes. I stepped on the accelerator to speed up and it happened.

2. Getting on the highway from 45 to 70 fairly quickly.

3. Once I got on the throttle heavy and got up to 80 MPH. I laid off the throttle to slow down and when I stepped on the accelerator again it happened.

I was not towing at any of these times. I do have warranty still but since I cannot always replicate it, I have not taken it to the dealer yet.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Custom Front Receiver Hitch

Fabricated own receiver hitch for the front? The ones available exit under the bumper and hang way to low, severely limiting approach angle.

I am planning on building one that exits through the large hole in the middle of the bumper, similar to the 99-07 style. I will use it for my custom generator mount and/or a small winch.
