Avalon 2005-12 :: AC System - Rear Outlet Blows Really Hot Air?
I'My car is a Gen 3 Avalon (2005 Touring), but, I figure the 2nd Generation Avalon & recent Camry XLS have similar interior A/C layouts in the interior.
PROBLEM: If I've been traveling on a hot day with A/C on, at some point after 3-4 hours, the air coming out of the REAR outlet starts to blow HOT.
Again, front A/C outlets still blowing nice cold air, but rear outlet blows really hot air. If you shut the A/C off for 1/2 hour, (or shut the car down for 20-30 minutes), when the A/C runs again, everything is fine again. I think it must have something to do with icing (?) and the flaps on the ventilation system.

I haven't been needing the A/C til recently due to the heat. When I have passengers in the rear and the A/C is set to just be body flow ( vs. body and feet), the rear blows but is noticeably weaker than the front. When I set it to both body and feet, the rear vents don't have any body flow and it is the same flow as when the rear is just set to feet. I went thru the manual and there doesn't appear to be anything incorrect (I am not in S mode) but the rear is just very weak in general with the controls on full.

Our 2010 base model GX 460 was 'born' in November 2009 and purchased new in February 2010, but we never used the 120 VAC power outlet at the back of the cargo compartment by the rear door hinge. I was cleaning and swapping 'summer' floor mats for 'winter' mats and decided to see if the outlet works. The appended pictures prove it does produce 120 VAC .... actually, almost 124 VAC, but I have no way to test if it can supply 100 Watts, much less the waveform shape. Perhaps it could light a 100 Watt incandescent bulb, but nothing sensitive to supply line glitches!

I have a 2006 Toyota Camry LE. The power outlet is busted. It works just fine (it does have power), its just that the spring inside it has broken. Consequently, it doesn't hold my ipod car adapters or car chargers. What are my options? Will I be able to get an OEM part? Is it worth it or will a generic part suffice?

When I turn on the heater on at any temp and fan setting the A/C automatically turns on (compressor and condensor fan turns on) . Engine temp comes up and stays at 190. I can turn up the heat to HI and still cold air blows. All buttons and LEDs work on the climatronic, is it the climatronic that is bad?

So in the past week only on certain days I have lost my ability to change zones for where my nice refreshing cold air blows on me from. It only blows out of the defrost vents. I here a fluttering noise under the dash when this happens. Also under the hood where all the AC hoses and such are located I feel cold air coming from inside the black box just next to what looks like the blower fan assembly. I don't believe I should be feeling that.

Every thing was perfect till suddenly my A/C blows hot air on hot summer days when it over 104 , everything works motor clutch , fans so when its hot outside the motor & clutch turns on & off and wont cool it all started when I refilled my AC, I might of over charge a little. Not sure how to fix.

It seems the local dealership has finally figured out why the rear ac blows warm while the front blows cold. It only took 5 trips.
The part # comes out to F75Z19A522AA or F75Z-19A522-AA. Its listed on Tousley and other online parts outlet but so far all that I have called said it is no obsolete and they are no longer available from Ford.
Rear inlet door actuator - obsolete part? Where I can find this part (I'll even consider used)?
Camry :: 2009 - Only Hot Air Blows Out When A/C Turned On
I have a 2009 Camry 4cyl. I bought the car during the winter and did not really test out the A/C. Now we have 100 degree weather in NY and I tried to start it up but only hot air blows out. I have tried to do some research on here but from what I learned and tried everything was in tact. I checked the fuse (Inside the cabin) and freon everything was in order. I also tried looking for the non moving dry belt for the A/C but from what was visible all the belts were moving as they should. From what I saw and heard the condenser is non operational, is there a fuse that I might have missed?

2002 Windstar A/C problem. Blows cold in the rear but not the front. Blend door actuator in the front is operating properly. Compressor cycles on and off but not excessively. When temp levers in full warm air blows to floor but it is not warm. Compressor runs even when the A/C on/off switch is in the off position. Indicator light is off but compressor still runs. Condensate puddles on floor in rear but none in front under vehicle.

Whenever I use the a/c on the 88 camry it blows hot air unless you driving very fast when the vehicle is idling it seem to heat up again you can hear the compressor cycle on and off so that would mean the compressor needs replacing right? And also when I replace it do I need to get a new receiver dryer and filter for it?

I've noticed today on my Camry that no matter what I set the air flow selector to on my heater, air only blows on the floor. Temperature and and fan speed seem to work fine. Going around to some local repair shops I was told the whole dash would need to be removed for a repair.
From what I have read changing the air flow selector I should hear some motor make the change from the floor to the face, but do not hear anything.
