Golf IV R32 :: Rear Tires Starting To Cup Along The Inner Edge And Noisy At 20 / 40 Mph
Any tips for keep rear tire wear to a minimum? Mine are starting to cup along the inner edge and are very noisy at 20, and 40 mph. 20mph is worse even in the front end.

Rust proofing the rear wheel well: I was trying to rust proof/coat the rear wheel well and surrounding area to make sure i get the bolts under it. Back of the car is where most of the salt sits as the undercurrents with wind tend to drive the salt deep in the quarter panels and around tank area. I wanted to confirm if these cars still have the wheel well bolt securing the bumper to the quarter panel with a rust prone steel bolt.
When weather gets better i'll take to get sprayed somewhere. But for now i wanted to leave something on it of a coat after a good cleaning. Hate dam salt or whatever they are using these days.
I also noticed that the SE's wheel well internal sheathing was much stronger looking, solid than what's on my LE - a felt type material. Besides the wheel well rim on SE has a band of silicone type substance overlaid on it. Right?
Camry :: 2013 - Driving Near 60 Mph On 2nd Shift / Engine Noisy
By mistake I hit the manual gear on my camry 2013. Luckily traffic was bad so I was driving for a few minutes around 40 mph and reached 60. The engine was noisy but I didn't know what's going on until later. I switch back to auto mode and noise went away. How bad is that? Do I have to do sthg?

I bought a 2012 Toyota Prius 2 on Jan 28, 2013 (just a little over a month ago). The front tires and steering wheel vibrated at highway speeds (here in NY 65-70mph) and so I took it in, they said it needed wheel balancing and rotation. Fine.
Then I was told to wait it out because of the "snow" and "ice" could be the culprit, fine. Then a week or so later, same problem still, even when it got warmer. Took it back in. This time the wheels were "off balance" again. Hmmm, that's funny. So they did a dynamic or forced balance? I don't know exactly, but it was a step up from "normal" balancing (according to them).
The past couple weeks it hasn't been vibrating nearly as much, but it is coming back again intermittently. Today I was driving home from Watertown, NY to Syracuse. It's about an hour or so drive, and it is a state highway, so it isn't too torn up or potholed. Between 66-70mph the steering wheel vibrates quite bad and RANDOMLY at that. Some roads the car at 70mph feels super smooth others not! And the weirdest part is some of the roads it feels smooth on are bumpy or slightly torn up!
I've looked up all the causes of steering wheel and tire vibrations, and I see that there are about 5-10 potential causes. If I have to take this car in one more time I might just scream.
Golf/GTI VI :: 2012 - Air Bubble In The Sidewall Of Both Rear Tires
So I just got my 30k oil change done on my 2012 GTI and the dealer found an air bubble in the sidewall of both rear tires (Pirelli P Zero Nero). Luckily I bought a third party wheel and tire protection plan from the dealer where I purchased the car so the tires were covered. Tires were replaced and rotated to the front. Drove home the next day (all interstate travel), and woke up the next morning to find another bubble in the sidewall of the right rear (rotated from the front). 4th tire with a bubble since last August. I've read from quite a few places online that other 2012 Honda Civic owners were having tires go flat, pop and shred while driving (Granted that this is probably the most common car issue that any one faces). I just notice that two of my tires, all of them Michelin Energy™ Saver A/S tires, seems to be worn out after 10K mile usage. However, when I look these tires at the Michelin web site, it states that these tires have a 64K mile warranty. Also if I decided that two of my tires, all Michelin Energy™ Saver A/S tires, need replacement, could I just replace the two worn out tires or all 4 tires?

I'm experiencing less torque and acceleration than I was getting when I first got the car. The car doesn't even have 1,000 miles on it yet. I'm wondering what is wrong with it. When I first got it, just pressing the gas half way would makes the tires spin till 6k rpm. Now the tires don't even spin while pressing it even further than 50% throttle. When I first got it, it had regular gas. Now I use 93 octane fuel. This should give it more power? I'm very confused as to why it was give so much and then now output so little.
My vehicle uses the Bridgestone Turanza tires.
This car has virtually every feature possible. BSM, Back Up Cam, LED DRL, leather, etc.
I've always owned Camry's. 1993, 2010, and now my 2013.

Is it possible to being after jump from speed bump ?? Because i passed it fast and jumped. After that, the sounds began.( i think it's like a rolling sth. ). While slow down, I changed transmission to park,and changed to reverse.so ,i can drive it,but sound always there.there are no oil under the car.after first time the dealer said '' your problem is parking brake shoe ''. Because parking brake shoe come away from it's location. He corrected,but sounds still there. After 2 days, it made it second time. So it is on park now ....

A few weeks ago I heard my car was making this weird noise in the morning, when I go really slow, like when I'm parking in reverse or just getting out of my garage in neutral. It comes from the tires, I don't think the problem is in my breaks, because it doesn't make that sound when I'm breaking and I took my car to the dealer (forgot to mention the sound to them) but they said everything was fine, so my brakes should be fine...
Usually the car makes that squeal-sound in the morning. The sound goes away after I start driving on normal speed (40-45mph).
2012 Accent sedan, 5 speed manual.
Camry 2012+ :: 2014.5 - Snow Tires Without TPMS Sensors
I just purchased a 2014.5 Camry and winter is around the corner. I was going to buy a set of oem 17in SE rims and put snow tires on with out the tpms sensors. The question I have to ask is once the light comes on can you disable the traction control. Reason I ask is because on my 2011 accord it forces the traction control on and is sucks. Snow tires without the sensors.

I still have the original Pirelli Scorpion tires on my 2010 Touareg (30,100 Miles). For the last year or so the tires have become extremely noisy. Before the warranty expired I made the dealer check to make sure there is nothing wrong with the wheel bearings or the drive train and of course they told me everything is fine. I had an alignment done about 3,000 Miles ago since the tires showed a little uneven wear.

I just recently rotated my tires and now I have a lot of vibration while driving in the 65-75 mph range. There are some areas like around 74 mph it smooths out where I could cut a diamond on the steering wheel. Most of the time while driving in the 55 mph range I don't notice it. I had the front tires rebalanced but they didn't seem to be the problem. Where should I look next?

For the past few months when the vehicle is cold (by "cold" I dont mean physically cold, just mean it has been sitting all night in my driveway and it's still 90+ degrees outside) and I start driving, I seem to have this shimmy or shake in the tires/steering/steering wheel. Once my car seems to "warm up" (driving a mile or two) it goes away and my car is extremely smooth.
Could it be tires (I've tried rotating)? Suspension? Wheel bearings? I'm lost for even imagining what it could be. I don't believe it is engine/trans related, as it idles/revs just fine and shift perfectly...
