Perimenopause - Cramps And Restless Legs, Racing Heart

I want to kill someone! I'm angry all the time and yell at people for no justified reason whatsoever. I used to be such a patient, loving, caring person who laughed things off and was the life of the party. Now I do not want to leave my house, I let laundry and dishes pile up Cuz I'm too exhausted from doing nothing. All I want to do is self medicate and sleep, but wait I cannot sleep I have restless legs and leg cramps and my mind is racing. I hate my job which has become too stressful to handle lately. Martinis are my new best friend. I'm lonely but do not want to date I have a 21 yr old 15 yr old and 3 yr old.... dad's are not involved. I'm unorganized and spaced out a lot, very different for me...... my doctor says you are depressed then I shoot him with my laser eyes and look for another dr.

Anxiety :: Insomnia - Eyes Refuse To Relax And Mind Racing

I am suffering insomnia for almost a week now due to anxiety and constant worrying. It might be better if i describe my experience. Here goes: Everytime I go to sleep, it feels that my eyes refuses itself to relax even though i close it. My mind is still racing. I've always tried to calm myself before sleeping. Sometimes I managed to fall and keep myself asleep but not for a long time and sometimes it is accompanied by weird vivid dreams (sometimes it's pretty creepy), then I woke up in the middle of the night finding it hard to fall asleep again, and if I do, these dreams keep bugging me again followed by waking myself up. My sleep pattern is always like that and It's so frustrating because I always woke up feeling unrefreshed and nervous. I'm always anxious about myself falling asleep like that every night.

Do someone experience the same things that I did? As long as possible, I'm planning to deal with it the natural way. I consider taking up meds as a last resort. Is there a natural way to restore my sleep pattern? Any advice? I'm totally suffering from it. And it makes me more anxious that sleep deprivation might affect my health.

Restless Legs Syndrome :: Exercise - Buy Yourself A Dog And Walk

I’ve suffered RLS for 30-40 years now. I take Pramipexole. I offered to care for my daughter’s dog whilst she went on holiday. It’s a Pug about 2 feet tall. In the space of about 3-4 days, I must have walked that dog 10-15 miles. I was devastated when she wanted him back. Apparently he slept for 2 day’s. The following day I developed left sided hip Bursitis. The pain was excruciating. After 4 days of this pain, at 3 in the morning, I dialled 111. A doctor told me to take paracetamol. Around 10am later that day, I dialled 111 again and was referred to a primary care doctor who prescribed 30-500 co-codamol. Two day afterwards, the pain began to subside to a dull ache and 2 weeks later, no pain at all. Where’s all this going. Between the Bursitis pain starting and now, I have suffered hardly any RLS. Occasionally a little in the afternoons but that’s all. Apparently exercise helps to relieve RLS and I believe that is the case. However, I’m wondering if prolonged intense exercise gives more prolonged relief. Be aware of other conditions though. Particularly cardiac related. Discuss with your GP. I have reduced my Pramipexole from 4 tablets at 17.30 to 2. Still no RLS. The moral of the story. Buy yourself a dog and walk the hell out of it.

Restless Legs Syndrome :: Feet Jerk While Sleeping

I'm wondering if anybody else out there is affected by RLS in the same way I am.  It's very specific.  Only when I'm falling asleep, my foot will jerk, sometimes rapidly, followed by the whole leg making a violent jerk.  There is no sleeping thru that.  Once it starts, I know I'm in for a long night because it does not stop.  Even if it does, then the other leg will start doing it.  (There is that creepy-crawly sensation a microsecond before the jerks, but I can't stop it from happening.)  This started in the early '80's with mild episodes 2 or 3 times a week but has increased strongly over the years.

I have incredible empathy for anyone suffering from this affliction / curse and pray daily that the true cause will soon be identified.

Anxiety :: Physical Symptoms - Burning, On-fire Skin And Restless Legs

Can anyone recommend a drug that is really effective for the physical symptoms of anxiety? In a way I can cope with the mental aspects but I am plagued by creeping, burning, on-fire skin and restless legs, it's like being plugged into an electrical socket all the time. Unless I'm actually physically active (and I can't be all day, it's exhausting) this sensation drives me crazy... the only relief is self-harm which I really try not to do. Any tried-and-tested remedy out there?

Teenager With Chronic Insomnia

I've had difficulty falling asleep since I was a teenager (27 now), but over the years the problem has only gotten worse.

To put it as simply as possible: No matter how tired I am during the day, I am never tired or sleepy by the time I have to go to bed.I believe this is partly a case of DSPD (delayed sleep-phase disorder), because I do tend to fall asleep faster if I stay up until well past midnight. The problem is I have to get up at 8AM and there is no way to get around this (I own an independant store that opens at 9AM).

I am not stressed out when I go to bed or thinking/worrying too much, I am simply not tired. If I go to bed at 10PM it feels like I am trying to sleep in the middle of the afternoon. I ted to fall asleep between 12-12.30 at night which is around 1 to 1,5 hours later than I would like to fall asleep.

Going to bed earlier has almost no influence on when I fall afsleep: For example if I go to bed at 10PM I'd fall asleep at 11.45, while if I go to bed at 11.15 I'd fall asleep at midnight. 30 minutes of laying awake is the minimum though and I consider that a REALLY good night.

To make matters worse, I am a competitive athlete which makes a good restful night's sleep all the more necessary. This is also why I have stubbornly only used a few types of sleep medication, because it is EXTREMELY important that my reflexes/focus is not impaired the next morning, which is a side effect of nearly all sleeping aids. What I've tried:

1mg lormetazepam: Slept fine but did not feel rested and felt groggy the next day

3mg melatonin: Had no influence on falling asleep and woke up in the middle of the night way too energized like it was the middle of the afternoon.

Passiflora extract: no effect

ZMA: no effect.

The bottom line is: I sleep 6-7 hours a night, I only feel rested after 9-10 hours, and no matter what I try, I can't seem to fall asleep quicker, or even be tired when it's time to go to bed.

Chronic Pain :: Stiffness And Cramps In Legs

For the past years, I've been taking 5 tabs of Methocarbamol 750 mg. along with 600 mg.(6 caps) of Gabapentin during supper and right before going to the bed, because I have not only leg cramp and spasm but also nerve pain on my legs. Those two meds. have been alleviating my pains that mostly occur during sleep, ... specifically during early morning hours before getting up from the bed.

Prior to those two meds. I had an excruciating and unspeakable pains that waking me up in the middle of the nights lasted about 10 minutes or so. Furthermore, the pains made all over my body sweat like taking hot bath, because of excruciating and unspeakable pain. Those nights, I self-exercised stomping, and often back and forth legs on hard floor in trying to subside the pains.

However, despite maximum doses of two pain meds., I still have been experiencing 'stiffness' along with 'pain' on my legs, some mornings before getting up from the bed.

Is there any good meds. for me more to manage and first of all control muscle spasms and cramps on my both legs?

Menopause :: Crazy Racing Heart

Here I am again like a broken record but just don't know what to do. I woke up today nervous and jumpy. I was so nervous that I made my heart race and called the paramedics. I felt fine once they got to me which in turn made me feel like a crazy person yet again. I have called the paramedics or ran to the ER so many times that I'm scared they won't come when I really need them. I just can't help it. When these crazy feelings come on the anxiety just overwhelms me. The fluttering in my chest, the internal tremors, weird head feelings, the flu feelings, the fluctuating body temperatures is just all overwhelming. Today I just can't seem to shake this nervous and jittery feeling. I ended up turning around to come back home on my way to work. I just didn't want my coworkers to see me acting like a crazy lady today.
