Orlistat :: Disappointed With My Weight Loss - Meal?

I've been on the tablets for two weeks now. I've worked out what I can have fat wise without getting the dreaded side effects. Cereal for breakfast, soup and yogurt for lunch, chicken or fish plus veg for main meal. I haven't been having my usual binges on biscuits and sweets either. However I am a bit disappointed with my weight loss. I lost 1 pound the first week and two the second. I know any loss is good, but I have been trying really hard to cut back and lost more than this in a couple of weeks on weight watchers.

I have a lot to lose (7 stone) so hoped for more. Maybe my body will 'catch up' - has anyone else had this experience? I've been on so many diets and lost a couple of stone and put it back on ten times as fast as I took to lose it.

Orlistat :: Disappointed - Yo-yoed Back And Forth

I've been on them for nearly 3 weeks and have yo-yoed back and forth.  I loose weight then the next day its back on!  Overall, I think I have lost around 4 lbs, but many of you are losing that, or more in a week!  I am on very low fat diet, cereals breakfast, salad lunch, slimming world recipe for tea - a couple of drinks at weekend and maybe relax the food a bit, but I don't go crazy!  I don't take tablet when I have no fat meals...what do you think.  I also have underactive thyroid so I know that my metabolism is slow.  Any tips please cos' I feel like I'm going nowhere.  Getting abit worried about my first weight in with GP and worried that I won't get a repeat prescription.

Orlistat :: Disappointed - How Long It Takes To Work?

Hi, I have been on SW plan for over a year and lost 10lb, yo yoing, I am 5 ft 8, and weigh 16st 10.3/4lb. I joined the gym 5 weeks ago and stuck as much as possible to the SW plan, but gained 5lb in the 5 weeks. last Monday (9 June) I started on Orlistat, drunk tons of water, kept up wiht excercising 3x week and eaten plenty of veg/fruit and healthy diet. I have weighed myself this morning and lost 1lb, I am so disappointed, disillusioned and actually quite desperate. The amount of time and effort I have put in does not reflect on the scales. What am I not doing right? Does it take time for the tablets to begin to work?  I have read on the forum, these people with huge weight losses, what are they doing that I am not!

Orlistat :: Disappointed - Losing Only 2 Pounds Per Week

After 3 weeks I have only lost 6lbs. Wouldn't you have lost that on a normal diet? I can't help but be a bit disappointed. I feel a bit flat as I stuck rigidly to a 1500 cal and 30gram fat intake per day. Is it normal to have only lost 2lb per week?

Orlistat :: Losing Inches But Not Pounds - Disappointed

I'm now in my 3rd week of taking the blues and as i don't go to the nurse to be weighed or anything i have been taking myself off to Boots every Monday to weigh myself.

So i went on Monday after being on it 2 weeks - and i've lost 2lbs...

I know a loss is a loss but i suppose I just thought I would have lost more......and think im a bit disappointed.....

Is this a good loss or should it be more? My husband thinks i have lost inches though too and i could be inclined to say i agree but don't understand how I can lose inches and not pounds....

Eating Disorders :: 10 Laxatives Before And After Every Meal

I am wondering whether I have an eating disorder? I am currently diagnosed as having Borderline Personality Disorder with Psychosis.

I go through stages of starving myself, then bingeing, then repeating for quite a while, but now I have started to take 10 laxatives in the morning before breakfast, then 10 laxatives before eating dinner, then 10+ laxatives before bed. I am starting to get worried about what this could do to my body, but I can't seem to stop myself from taking them.

Acid Reflux :: Heartburn After Every Meal

So, about three months ago, i noticed my stomach started to feel weird between breakfast and lunch. It's like an anxious, nervous, acid-y almost jittery feeling that's hard to describe. Yesterday was one of the worst times of it yet! I had my usual breakfast of hot quinoa topped with almond butter, a little maple syrup to sweeten, and bananas and strawberries. It was a pretty small amount, but just enough to fill me up. However, a half an hour later, I started to get that terrible acidic, nervous, anxious feeling that feels like i had a ton of vitamins on an empty stomach or something. So I ate a bunch of bagels to absorb any acid, and i felt great. This morning, I had a heartier breakfast of a vegetable tamale and some baked beans. I got that feeling again! So i ate and felt better. I usually don't get this feeling any other time of day, however, a few nights ago, i couldn't go to sleep because i had that feeling, but accompanied by hunger, so i got up, ate, felt great. Most of the time when I get this feeling after breakfast, it's after i had had a HUGE meal the night before. Is it acid reflux? I get heartburn after practically every meal. I don't know, i'm just SOOOOO afraid this is something terrible! Is it GERD?

Pregnancy :: Gender - Depressed / Disappointed

So today I found out im having another girl as if I need 3 lil girls running around me. I already have 2 girls who I love dearly and had my hopes set on this one (being my last) to be a boy. Im so mad that I really dont want this baby and even came across my mind to abort this baby all because of its gender. And I feel so selfish and like im some horrible mother to even think this way. I cried all the way home today because the baby's a girl! Im mad at myself and my bf. I need help because I cant get over this....this is not something I can easily say oh well to. Im afraid that when the baby is born I will resent it and it will distrot my relationship with my bf

Fibromyalgia :: Disappointed With Pain Management And Exercise

So I was finally able to get in to see a PM doctor and she looked over all of the info that had been sent to her and then decided she wanted x-rays of my hips (where I have the most pain) and spine. She told me that she really doesn't do medications (which is fine) but that injections of some sort might help me and she would wait for the results to make any decisions. It took almost 3 weeks for me to get the results back and then the nurse told me that my x-rays looked ok but that the doc said I could get an MRI if I wanted to. I told her that I really can't afford another MRI (had one of my brain) right now and would rather not have one unless the doc really thought I should. She again told me the doc said I could have one if I wanted and that was it. Never offered another appointment or anything.

My rheumatologist who until my last appointment I really liked is frustrating me too. I told her I hated the gabapentin and would prefer not to take it anymore. She said that's fine the best thing that I can do for myself is to eat healthy, exercise, and get good sleep (impossible with 3 babies! but I try) And I have a very healthy diet and have added exercise as much as I can tolerate. She told me that medication is really for people who can't live a normal life because of their fibro.

Did she not listen to me? Is it "normal" to come home from the grocery store in tears? Is it "normal" to spend a week recuperating from a trip to Coney Island or a family BBQ? Is it "normal" to take 2 hours for your body to work in the mornings?

Orlistat :: Is It Working?

So it's been 3 weeks since I started orlistat and slimming world. First week loss 8lb, second week loss 5lb, third week loss 3lb. I am not eating much fat at all and am wondering if the tablets are doing anything for me? I'm really disappointed with only 3 lb loss this week. I know the weight loss will slow down, however I am very overweight, doing slimming world AND orlistat, shouldn't the weight be falling off? I haven't cheated once in these three weeks! My body has gone from having around 3000 cals a day to just 1000 cals plus exercise!
