Random Spells Of Sudden Headache With Dizziness And Nausea?
Little background info, I'm 18 and female and I never usually get headaches, but yesterday morning I woke up with a slight one, the type you usually get when you oversleep. Throughout the day it got a lot worse, to the point where my eyes were watering due to the pain, I could barely stand and barely move and of course had no paracetamol in the house so I had to endure the horrendous pain before my mum was able to get some when she got back from work. It's now day two and the headache is just as bad, the nausea and dizziness comes and goes in random spells but the headache is persistent. Pain relief dulls but doesn't get rid of the pain.
I haven't had any injury or knock to the head, no ear infection (to cause the dizziness) and the only things that really changed is my sleeping pattern (I usually sleep for around 5/6 hours a day due to insomnia but yesterday I got a full 10 hours sleep only waking up around 3 times during the night which is normal for me).
42 Years Old With Sudden Dizziness And Headache
I'm a 42 yr old male, while driving 3 weeks ago I suddenly got a feeling I was going to pass out and instantly pulled onto the hard shoulder and let a colleague drive. Since then all was fine until 3 days ago when 3 hours into a drive the same thing happened, I pulled over again and the colleague finished the drive. I was fine the rest of the day and drove back to the hotel later. The following day the same thing happened again on the way back around the same time into the drive. Since then I've been dizzy constantly, when I say dizzy it's more the feeling I'm going to faint and now there is an accompanying headache. I'm very very concerned as a big part of my job is driving and I don't feel confident getting in a car at the moment.

I have had 2 incidents (one early last week and one today) where I have felt completely fine, was on an empty stomach (before my breakfast) and suddenly got nauseous and threw up a couple times - followed by diarrhea. No pain is associated.
Within an hour or so afterwards I felt suddenly fine. Note: I am primarily vegan - have ruled out any food poisoning issues and have not gotten stomach flu 2x. (No fever or anything else)
Neurology :: Headache Associated With Occipital Neuralgia?
I have had horrible migraines for 10+ years which have become chronic daily headaches, manageable, but daily. A year ago I started having horrible pains at the base of my skull on the right side, some days it is a horrible stabbing pain, some days it is just a dull ache, but it is always there. I saw my neurologist in May about the pain since it just would not go away, she really had no ideas for me, she thought it might be a pinched nerve but said she really didn't know, she started me on nortriptyline, after being on the nortriptyline for 2 months and no change, she switched me to gabapentin, I am now taking 1200 mg 3 times a day. Some days I notice a difference, other days no change at all. My Neurologist said to stay on it and it should be helping. About 3 months ago the same type of pain started on the left side of my neck, about 1.5 inches below the base of my skull, closer to the middle by the spinal cord than the outside of the neck, it felt like a muscle knot that wouldn't go away, for the first few weeks, thinking it was a muscle knot, I was trying everything to get the knot to go away, after no relief with heat, massage, ice, I saw my neurologist and basically demanded that we get an MRI to see what was going on, she said she didn't think that was necessary, but ordered it anyway. She said my MRI looked totally fine and that i should still stay on the gabapentin, but no more help than that. After that I decided to find a different doctor. I started seeing a physiatrist, specializing in neurologic issues. My first appointment with him was fantastic, right away he said from everything i am describing i have occipital neuralgia. He explained what it was, and that it is a tricky thing to get under control, and he really couldn't say what is causing it. He said that the gabapentin is what he would prescribe, and it probably is helping, just not taking the pain away totally. He did prescribe a cream to apply to my neck, that he said he has great results with. He said he likes to try this first before doing any injections. It is a special compound cream that is specially made at a pharmacy he uses, its a mix of baclofen, gabapentin, ketorolac, and lidocaine. Its hard to tell if the cream is working, kind of like the gabapentin, sometimes it feels great, other times the pain is the same...
My true issue and reason for posting is, I have had a bad headache on the right side of my head, it moves from the right base of my neck, around my ear to my front temple area. Throughout the day it is in a different spot and I can pinpoint exactly where it is, it feels like someone is stabbing a knife right in that area, but it lasts for hours, throughout the day it does get a little "better", but i can always feel it, when it gets "better" it just feels like a massive pressure in that area. I have been a headache sufferer for as long as i can remember, but this headache is different than any headache I've ever had, and it going on day 19. I have tried everything; my many different headache medications (including an injection i give myself), I've taken a dose pack of steroids along with some anti nausea medication my neurologist gave me, i have gone to get a DHE treatment from my neurologist, i have gotten a toradol shot, and pretty much anything else i could think of, and nothing is kicking this headache. After doing lots and lots of online research, it leads me to believe that this is related to my occipital neuralgia, not a "normal" headache. Has anyone has a headache like this before? Do you think it is related to the occipital neuralgia, or something else? Does anyone have any ideas to make it go away. Also, if anyone has any tips on dealing/treating neck pain from occipital neuralgia.

View 7 RepliesSitting, Standing, And Walking - Sudden Dizziness
I don't know exactly where to start or how to describe my issue, but I know something isn't right. 2 days ago I woke up as I normally do from a good night's sleep and immediately knew something wasn't right. I was feeling faint and dizzy, but it wasn't a constant feeling that wouldn't go away. I would have these episodes about every 5 or 6 seconds apart from one another. 2 days later (today) it hasn't gone away and it's actually getting worse. It feels like I'm getting hit with a hammer and that's when everything starts to go faint and an instant dose of dizziness smacks me in the head. I honestly feel like I'm going to just kill over and pass out, but I don't. after a few seconds it stops, but then after I take a few more steps it does it all over again. This happens whether I'm standing up, walking, sitting down or even laying down. It just won't stop. Prior to this, there was a week where I got about 5 or 6 major migraines in one week. Not sure if this is related or not? I have no ins.
View 1 RepliesMy Husband Started Getting Vertigo / Dizziness All Of A Sudden?
For three days my husband has been feeling giddy, he has to hold onto something when he walks otherwise he looks likes he's had a few. He's been sick once with it. He's been to GP who examined him and told him his BP was a bit high but when we got home his BzP was within normal range again. I think it was raised because we waited an hour in the surgery. Because he is a type 2 diabetic, the GP said it was connected to that and his raised BP. I know it's not his BP because it's always normal. His ears have been throbbing too but GP said no sign of infection. It seems he has to ride it whatever it is. Has anyone any idea what could be the cause please?

View 1 RepliesHeadache And Dizziness With Neck Pain
Has anyone else experienced weekly headaches that just seem to last no matter how much sleep you get or water you drink? I also have neck pain in which I have already seen both chiropractor and physical therapist for. When I have these headaches, I feel pressure behind my ways so intense I can't stand bright lights. On top of all this I am dizzy, however, my balance is totally fine. I have already been to an ENT specialist and had an MRI, etc. Only thing I haven't moved onto is a neurologist because I already am racking up my medical bills and yes I have health insurance but a crappy one at that! Please help. Has anyone else been experiencing this and if so, what did you do to rid it?
View 21 RepliesAnxiety :: Dizziness And Cold Top Of Head With Headache
So I've been fighting anxiety for about 8 years now, compounded with some pretty unpleasant experiences including having one of my friends die in front of me from heart failure and then having to personally ensure his incineration and bringing his remains home to his family. I've spent about 7 years of my adult life on military or private military missions overseas in third world countries. The last few months I have been getting a lot of dizziness/lightheadedness when I'm overseas, but almost none when I'm home with my wife. Just recently I was briefing something and the room started spinning and I had to close one eye to concentrate on the slides, this lasted about 90 seconds I think, then another 90 seconds of unsteadiness, after which the top of my head felt cold and achy. I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced something like this?

Ok I saw a million posts about these generalized symptoms so don't want to repeat the stories. However, after thousands of dollars and visit to every possible doctors in existence I still have these symptoms daily. Some days worse than others. Can someone please tell me how they were diagnosed and with what? Also did it ever go away alone and after how long?
View 1 RepliesAlternative Therapies :: Constant Headache / Dizziness And Nausea
I am mildly overweight, have low end of normal blood pressure. I exercise approximately 5 days a week and walk about 1.5-3 miles a day during work hours --otherwise I have a desk job. I eat primarily whole grains and foods, whole goats milk, and only drink 1-2 times a week and typically not heavily.
I've had a constant headache since September 20, 2015. It started in the middle of the night and increased in severity throughout that month. The pain is at the front of my head varies from a 2-9 typically getting worse throughout the day and into the evening. Other symptoms include dizziness and nausea, lightheadedness-- sometimes extreme and debilitating.
After 1 month, I went to the doctor who had a MRI done, several blood tests, a nerve block, a hospital DHE treatment, every painkiller and triptan/migraine drug in the book. I went on a course of Phenergan and diclofenac, and also had IV antibiotic in the hospital. I started taking magnesium supplements. I assessed the stressful elements of my life (at home and at work), began meditating, and lowered my overall stress. I did yoga and stretched did neck exercises which both reduced some of the pain. Nothing worked, and they recommended Topamax, but as nothing made a dent before, I decided to question their diagnosis of intractable migraine.
Since then, I had my Nexplanon implant removed (received it July 11th, 2015, removed it November 22, 2015). And started acupuncture. The acupuncture achieved some considerable relief, but after a month of treatment twice a week, I went on a business trip and took charcoal several times during the trip to work with a hangover (I don't drink much). During the end of the trip and the 5 days following it, I didn't have a headache. At the time, I concluded that the acupuncture had worked.
After the headache returned, I started to go through possibilities and took myself off of gluten. After a week, no change in headache. Then I started taking charcoal again after a eureka moment and then went 2 weeks without a headache. Yesterday I forgot to take my charcoal for 28 hours and my headache returned. I'm back on the stuff, and now feel like I'm narrowing in on finding the culprit!

View 1 RepliesSudden Chest Pain Sudden - When Walk Or Run
I often get chest pains when i walk or run. I am 23 years old male. i had a recent spleen extreme but the non invasive version back in october.
I never had this kind of pain before and I'm underweight, blood is fine.
I did however blackout a month after my surgery only to find out I had huge amounts of lymph nodes throughout my system.
Doctors believe this to be a reaction from surgery and my injections prior.
The pain hurts badly in my right chest. Last for about 10-30 seconds and goes away. Does not happen when I sit or sleep. And has next to no affect on my working or active lifestyle.
Headache :: Tension Headache/prednisolone
I'm 27y,male,weight 44kg. I've started to have headache after having a very tough semester at college 2 months back and it become worse 2 weeks back when i visited a neurologist who diagnosed me with "tension headache".
He prescribed me a cortisone injection in addition to 9 days of prednisolone (3 days 60mg, 3 days 40mg, 3 days 20mg).
The tension headache has gone, however, I still have headache on the sides of my head and behind my eyes, some pressure in my ears sometimes.
During my prednisolone course,I had severe depression, mood changes, anxiety (i couldn't sleep), sweating & lose of appetite. (I didn't have any history with these weird side effects)
Now, it's day 6 after stopping the prednisolone and i still have some depression/worried but i think i'm getting better day after the other.
My questions:
1. How long does it take for Prednisolone to clear out from my system?
2. Since tension headache has gone, why am I'm still having headache (sides of head, behind eyes & sometimes pressure in ears).
Vertigo / Dizziness :: Unbalanced Feet - Dizziness While Walking And Standing
I have dizziness everyday while walking, standing as well as feeling off balance, unsteady on my feet like I am gonna fall over. I have had my ears checked by an ENT doctor in 2014 and he said I had meniere's disease so he treated it as that but medicine didn't help so went to another ENT doctor in 2015 who said I don't have meniere's disease but have hearing loss in both ears and did a test on my vestibular function which he said was normal so he referred me to a neurologist and I went and had an MRI done which was normal as well. I have had blood work done in November last year and my white blood count was a little high but not concerning and everything else was normal....no diabetes. Also had a stress test done on heart and was normal. I am at my wits end with this cause I don't know what's going on. I plan to see an eye doctor soon. Oh and I was diagnosed with anxiety 4 months ago but this dizziness and off balance feeling has been going on for 2 years now. I am on blood pressure medicine too. don't know what else to do. Does anyone have these same symptoms ?
