Menopause :: Uterus Lining? Possible It Could Have Shrunk?

Does anyone know if a thick endometrial wall can thin out even if you don't get any bleeding? Like a mentioned in a past post, my endometrium thickness is 15mm, it's been almost a month since it was last seen on the US. Is it possible it could have shrunk?

Thick Uterus Lining = Cancer?

I am a 44 year old woman and believe I have just entered menopause or perimenopause. I went to my gyno for my well woman checkup and she said she was concerned bc my lining was so thick (25 mm). I had not had a period in 2 months, but just starting leaking a watery fluid. She was immediately fearful of cancer, but I have recently had my period. If my lining is no longer as thick, should I still be worried about cancer?

Thickening Of The Uterus Lining From 15 To 19mm

I've been having bleeding in between periods since July but also had it a couple of years ago for about 6 months. I had smear tests etc back In 2011 all was ok and I was told I Had an erosion too. I also had a pelvic Scan and the uterus lining was 15mm.

But I was told all was ok. Bleeding Stopped but then it started about 5 Months ago it's light and usually starts a few days after my period has Finished and lasts a few days.

I went to the doctors a couple Of weeks ago the doctor looked at my Cervix and she said that was clear then she booked me in for another pelvic Scan I had that 2 weeks ago and the Uterus lining was 19mm I've got to See a gynae tomorrow and I've been Told I'll probably have to have a hysteroscopy or d&c.

I'am 35 I have 9 children 7 normal. Births and 2 by c-section. I have been so worried and keep going Online and that's gets me even more Worried.

Thick Lining Of Uterus 3 Years In A Row

I am a fit, average weight 32 year old woman. Roughly 5 or 6 years ago, I began spotting blood between periods. This would occur after exercise sometimes, or maybe after rough bedroom activities. It was only ever a few drops and didn't really bother me.

It has continued since then. My periods also became heavier the past few years. 3 years ago, I thought I should ask my gyn doctor about this, since I was also having vaginal dryness and loss of libido in my 20s.

So, for 3 years in a row, I've had normal paps, and normal transvaginal ultrasounds performed, STDs checked, all with good results except that the lining of my uterus was a bit thick. My doctor never seemed concerned about it, just giving me a blank "Your guess is as good as mine, see you in a year!" face.

This last ultrasound, a month ago, showed the still-thick lining but also some increased blood flow to the area. Now I have to go back for a saline infused ultrasound to see if they can find a polyp, though there is no indication there is one. It's a guess on my doctors part.

I asked her what would happen if there was no polyp, and she said we'd be back at square one.

So, I'd like to know if I should be freaking out right now. Doctors NEVER take my symptoms seriously (I have severe digestive issues, as well) because I LOOK really healthy at a glance, and a couple have actually told me this. I am worried that my doctor is not taking this seriously enough as all the research I've done on my own indicates precancerous possibilities, etc.

I'm not made of money, and pursuing my illnesses freely is no longer an option as I can't afford to shell out money for different doctors all the time. I would like to know, based on your knowledge and/or experience, if you believe I should invest in a second opinion.

I am also open to an elective hysterectomy, which may sound odd, but I do not ever want children so I don't really care for my bothersome reproductive organs that seem to be a ticking timebomb and nothing more for me. Any opinions on that?

Thick Uterus Lining And Treatment Options

I was having some bleeding for about 3 weeks and it is being investigated now. I had ultrasound, biopsy (awaiting results) but I am just looking for my options. If they find something bad in the biopsy of course it looks like a hysterectomy. But if nothing shows I,m still stuck with the thick lining and bleeding. I have heard horror stories about the ablation, and I have heard its not a good idea with a previous C-section. My doctor thought I may be lacking progesterone or in fact estrogen dominant. I am currently taking progesterone to help with the bleeding for 10 days. It is working well and I feel great, and other symptoms I was having have stopped. Anyone have a D @ C with or without hormone therapy and did it help. I am 47.5 years old and if I can just coast for a few years until menopause I may be able to avoid a hysterectomy.

Menopause 61 With Prolapsed Uterus And Spotting

I am 61 yrs. old and have had a prolapsed uterus for two yrs. now. I had to put off getting anything done with it because of serious back problems that turned into four huge surgeries(sagittal imbalance) I was bent over at a 45 degree angle for two yrs. anyway, all this time my uterus kept getting worse and now I am in recovery from my fourth back surgery and I noticed blood in my underwear. I think it's coming from the uterus, that is now protruding almost all the way out. I have to push it back inside . I so have an appt. with a urogynecologist Oct.14th. But until then just wondering if anyone had any insight on this. Of Course I am through menopause. I haven't seen any blood for about a week now. But I have a bad discharge(yellowish color). That's been going on for around three weeks, I have had several UTI's in the past six mo. I just know that my cousin had uterus cancer and her first symptoms was one little drop of blood. So I am a little scared about the blood. (Or spotting).

Uterine Cancer :: 7mm Lining And Not Menopausal Yet

I had bloodwork and an ultrasound performed because I had some post period bleeding for the first time last month and I've been having some digestive issues (constipation, general discomfort but not consistent).

I met with the gyn today and he is recommending a uterine biopsy because my uterine wall is 7mm. No other remarkable findings on the ultrasound. He is calling me menopausal because my estradiol was 17 and my FSH was 75. However, I am still getting my period, albeit they are not regular (24 days, 29 days, 32 days but still monthly).

How can I be menopausal if I am still getting a period? The blood test was performed on day 12 of my cycle and the u/s was done on day 20.

Also, I had an u/s done back in November but no blood test and my lining was 9.2.

I am confused and thinking of getting a second opinion. I really don't want to do an invasive biopsy if it isn't absolutely necessary.

Enough Uterine Lining Required For Tubal Reversal?

I had the NovaSure procedure done over three years ago. I had my tubes tied eight years ago. I'm getting married and my fiancé, who doesn't have children, would like to have a baby. I still have a period, however, it's minimal to none (only brown discharge for four to five days). I've heard that doctors won't reverse your tubes unless you have enough of a uterine lining. Last ultrasound I had showed a good lining. I'm not sure if it was enough of one to sustain a pregnancy. I really want to know what my options are.

Orthopedics :: Bone Spur And Torn Hip Lining - Pain After Surgery

December 2013 had a tkr on my right knee, and the day I cam home from the hospital, I complained on I couldn't lay on my right side. Had surgery for that, and I am still in pain now from both the groin area and the hip. Now I am being told that I need a new hip. Not sure that I want to go through that.

Menopause :: Period - One Year Post-menopause

Three weeks ago, to my great surprise, I started to bleed after one year. The 2-3 weeks preceding this, my breasts were so sore, I was bloated and I has the typical "stringy" discharge that I used to get before my period. I was really not expecting another period but the bleeding was heavy and lasted for just over a week.

I saw my doctor a few days ago and she that she is obliged to send me for an ultrasound and possible biopsy if the lining looks thick. She said she is not worried but I am freaking out.

Can anyone share a similar experience? I read on one website that it is actually possible to ovulate and have a period after you stop menstruating for a year. I have not had any spotting - just this one "period". Of course, everything I have read says how abnormal it is to bleed after menopause and now I'm scared that there is something serious going on. My ultrasound is booked for two days from now.

Pregnancy :: Tilted Uterus

When I went in for my appointment a couple weeks ago my doctor was trying to listen to my baby's heartbeat on the doppler and he couldn't find it. So he felt my uterus and told me that it was tilted backwards. He then sent me for an ultrasound and the baby was alright and they were able to hear the heartbeat. The doctor told me that my uterus wouldn't cause any problems and would not harm the baby, but I'm still kinda worried about it. Does anyone have this and is farther along having a normal pregnancy? Just wondering because I am only 10 weeks.

Women :: Pain In The Uterus After Sex

I am going to the doctor in a week but I wanted some possible ideas of what it could be on here.

I am a 19 year old girl, I've been with my boyfriend for 3 months. STD free. I am on the birth control Implanon. But its gone now. We have sex about every other day. He is bigger than the previous guys I've been with.

The last two weeks have been a bit of an issue. Sex feels fine, but right after we're done I have this pretty bad pain in my lower abdomen, where my uterus and cervix is. It just feels exactly like very bad period cramps. I have no other symptoms. I am supposed to be getting my period in about a week. The only change I can think of is he has been lasting longer lately, to where he's inside of me for 45 minutes straight. The pain only lasts for about 10 minutes after we have sex.

Is it possible he is being too rough and too long in me which is causing pain? I am a petite girl. Or is it something else? Sorry, I'm a bit of a hypochondriac. Could it be an infection?
