Depression :: Insomnia - Tried Less Caffeine, Relaxing And Setting Up A Bed Routine

For the past 2 years i have had trouble with my sleep, but more so in particularly this past year. It takes me up to and over and hour to fall asleep and even then on average i only get about 5 hours sleep on a good night, and am tired constantly throughout the day. This past year it seems worse as its effecting my eating habits and mood. I tend to forget to eat anything because i just don't get that feeling of being hungry and my moods seem to have completely flipped, I'm more short-tempered and emotional. I have tried everything to help me sleep better. less caffeine, not using technology before bed, setting up a sleep routine, relaxing before sleep. Nothing seems to work, and i'm a bit dubious about going to my GP because i don't know how they could help me.

Supraventricular Tachycardia :: Attacks When Sleeping Or Relaxing- Episodes Of Belching

I had my first attack 10 years ago and then had them every couple of years. Despite seeing a heart specialist for 8 years and having every kind of test - nothing was diagnosed and I was discharged. I had friends telling me I was suffering from stress, panic attacks, anxiety etc. 4 weeks ago on my 60th birthday I had a severe one - it woke me up - and I ended up in hospital. A week later I had another severe one - again through the night, actually at exactly the same time and again was taken to hospital where I was given the injection. After 3 hours I was sent home, and then within 5 minutes had another one - back to the hospital, where I was kept in for 24 hours - I was put on beta blockers. I have had 5 attacks in the last 6 days, 2 only a few minutes, 1 lasting 15 minutes, another lasting 45 and finally had to go to hospital again as I had it nearly 3 hours - they doubled my betablockers. I also have low blood pressure and the second time I called the ambulance they couldn't even get my bp.

All of my attacks seem to occur through the night or when I am relaxed. As I live on my own I am now scared to go to sleep. When I lie on my left side (the way I always go to sleep) - I feel the blips and know it is going to start again, so I am trying to sleep on my back or right hand side. When having one, I get throat/neck pain have an incredible urge to pee, and belch a lot - I don't suffer from indigestion normally.problems? :?:

Citalopram :: Week 8 , Still On 10 Mg Citalopram - No Motivation

I gave up my job because I was so stressed and such an emotional wreck. I 've gone back to uni to do another course, I have tasks to complete and I just don't feel motivated to do anything at all. I m doing work experience and I don't care anymore. I m On list to see therapist at the end of month. I'm usually active  person and maybe  it's the anxiety that kept me going but all I do now Is not to do anything at all I lay about  and sleep I postpone everything I need to do is this normal? I have no energy or drive, has anyone else experienced this?

Citalopram :: 20mg To 40mg Citalopram?

I have had a really tough year, and was prescribed citalopram 12 weeks ago, started on 10mg for 2 weeks then 20mg ever since. I haven't been feeling any better, I have been going through a break up so its hard to know what's heartbreak and what's depression but the only thing that's seemed to be improving is anxiety which was taking over my life.

I still wake up most days not wanting to move, feeling hopeless and like I don't want to be here (I wouldn't physically hurt myself) and non stop crying and fear of the future and low self esteem. I used to be so confident and outgoing and happy, my world has crashed in the last year and recently I spoke to my doctor who has raised the dose to 40mg which I have now been taking for 3 days. I feel absolutely worse and again not sure if it's circumstantial. I feel embarrassed In Front of my friends and family as one minute I'll be crying and struggling to breath having a panic attack and the next I'll be laughing and smiling. Has anyone else suffered in the same way? I am hoping that this dosage is what I need but I'm just having teething problems. Right now though I feel very scared and worried it's not going to do the trick if I feel like this.

Anxiety :: Trouble Sleeping

I made an appointment for therapy. They said they would call me back, so..fingers crossed! Where I'm at right now, it's 3:23 AM and I can't sleep.. I've been trying to sleep for almost 2 hour's now. Every time I try to close my eyes & just relax, my heart starts beating fast, I get a slight lump in my throat feeling, and my head/neck feels tingly. I also, get a panicky feeling. It's driving me crazy. This always happens when I need to be up at a certain hour.

Trouble Sleeping At Night - I Don't Want To Wake Up

I find it really hard to sleep at night, It almost like my body is exhausted but my brain won't shut off.

I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and one of the symptoms is insomnia. I can't sleep at night but when i finally get to sleep and my brain has shut down when it comes to getting up in the morning for work, I can't. I sleep through alarms, people could be screaming down my ear, world war 3 could be happening and i wouldn't wake up.

Trouble Sleeping At Night - Depression?

So my whole life i have lived with my grandma and grandpa. A year ago my grandad died. Since then my grandma has been feeling very sad and lonely. I never had this problem with sleeping until the past 4-5 months, where i just stay up until 4-6 AM even though i go to bed around 12o'clock. I just play video games and in the weekends i go out with my friends and party. I am a student in college and me not being able to sleep at nights is preventing me to attend properly in School, I just skip classes more and more even though i want to do good. When i look at the big picture i just find it so depressing, this life i'm having even though I don't think i suffer from depression. I'm just unable to sleep at nights, this is a major problem to me. I don't know now what i should do, move to my mom in England?

(Age 18-24) Pregnancy :: Trouble Urinating When Wake Up?

I'm 13 weeks pregnant, and it seems like when I wake up in the mornings with a really full bladder I can't empty it completely. I also have to push really hard just to get a little to come out. It doesn't happen all the time only when I don't wake up through out the night to go pee. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so how have you resolved it?

Sleep Issues :: Trouble Sleeping

I'm 52 and have no history of sleep problems. In fact I generally sleep through anything. That is until seven weeks ago today. I went to bed as usual, but didn't get to sleep till about four in the morning. The same thing happened the next night and the next etc etc. sometimes I'll go to sleep quickly but wake up a couple of hours later- just for a bit of variation ha, ha. The thing is, I'm pretty certain what caused this, but it makes me sound a bit pathetic. There's a woman at work who I've become quite friendly with. Just friends I must stress and she has given no indication that it is anything more. Anyway, I had a week off work and the night before my first day back I started to get butterflies in my stomach and realised I was excited about seeing this woman the next day. That's the first night I didn't sleep. I became quite infatuated for a couple of weeks, but that intensity seems to be waning now. However, I'm still left with the insomnia. I must stress that this type of schoolboy crush is completely out of character. She has a partner an so do I - 20 years now I wouldn't want to do anything to ruin it.

Beta-Blockers :: Trouble Sleeping

I am taking beta blockers. I have had a heart attack couple of days ago and I guess beta blockers I have to take as prevention. No one needs a heart attack, right? But, even in that short period of time, some side effects occurred, I had trouble sleeping. Although, I have to admit that I am not sure if this was because of the stress or because of the beta blocker.

Trouble Breathing :: No Coughing And Wheezing

The other day, I checked myself into the hospital because I was having difficulties breathing and a slight chest pain. The doctors ran a plethora of tests, including an EKG, MRI, and X-Rays. All of the tests, according to the doctor, came back "100% normal". The ER staff said there were no signs of anything serious and it should pass. Perhaps it's a muscle being weird or something?

The chest pain is mostly gone but breathing is still a challenge. It's difficult to take a FULL breath. No coughing. No wheezing. Anybody ever experienced this? The other day I went to the grocery store and I was winded afterwards. It does not seem right.

I'm going to see the doctor for a follow up on Monday, and I'm monitoring the situation closely. Are there breathing tests they can have me do? It seems like cardiac-wise everything is fine, but something is still up. I know to go to the ER if it gets too bad, but I'm curious if anybody has seen / heard / experienced something like this.
