View 1 RepliesTemporal Pressure Headaches, Dizzy Spells And Blocked Ears - All Tests Clear
I am a fit, healthy 28 year old guy who has spontaneously developed severe high blood pressure, temporal pressure headaches, dizzy spells and blocked ears. The symptoms vary, with acute periods lasting a couple hours and occurring on a weekly basis. Generally an acute period is characterized by severe headaches, needing to lie down, blocked ears and extreme lethargy.
I have had CT’s and MRI’s of the brain and cervical spine, PET scans, ECHO’s, a multitude of blood tests and various other tests with no abnormalities.
I gym 4 times a week, eat healthy and work as a hairdresser, so my lifestyle is pretty healthy overall.
This condition is starting to limit my lifestyle and with two years of no answers I am putting it out there for someone to recognize or provide advice about what could potentially be going on!
Kidney Disease :: Elevated EGFR And Creatinine With Blood Pressure
I have high blood pressure and I have renal panel test done every 4-5 months. This is my 4 time and my results came back with increased creatinine 1.68 ( maximum range 1.4) and my gfr was 48. Bun was within range.
Last time when I performed the test 4 months backs the creatinine value was 0.96.
My doctor switched me from tribenzor to axor as my bp reading were normal around 110/70. I test my bp at home weekly and they never cross 120/80.
Can I get my creatinine and egfr values improved or am I professing fast on ckd.
Addison's Disease :: Interpretation With Hypothyroidism
I am 38 and have Hypothyroidism. I recently had a cortisol test and my initial results came back at a level of 210. I was told that the normal range was 150 - 650 ( or thereabouts ) and as my test was at 9am these levels should be much higher.
I have been refereed to see a hormone specialist but am just curious to know if anyone had an initial level of 210 at peak time and didn't have Addison's. Or, indeed they did have it?
Could it be adrenal fatigue? which is why I went to the drs as I read about on a thyroid website.
High Sodium Levels And Addison's Disease?
Curious if anyone knows what it means to have high sodium levels and Addison's disease? My sodium levels came back at 238 I've had more testing done but this one was the more extreme in numbers.
Anyone else have high sodium results?
Adrenal Disorders :: Addison's Disease - Connection With Irregular Periods
My daughter is 19. About 18 months ago she started having panic attacks, feeling nauseous and shaking and becoming quite distressed. After counselling and medication it became controlled. She still suffered episodes of shaking and feeling as if her blood sugar was dropping. She has had episodes of lightheadedness and passed out at work , being out for about 10 minutes. All her tests have shown as normal to now, however something is suddenly causing these events. She has had bp, eeg, fasting bloods- glucose and thyroid function, all normal. She is awaiting a 24 hour eeg now. I read about adrenaline crashes and Addison's disease recently and its connection with irregular periods, which she gets and Vitiligo, which she has a small patch of. Is it worth discussing tests with her GP? they seem quite happy to put her regular visits there down to anxiety though.
View 1 RepliesHeart Disease :: High Blood Pressure / Slow Heart Rate
I have a heart rate most of the time from 42 to 50 BPM , my blood pressure is usually 145 to 160 over 75 to 80. My cardiologist has me taking 75 mg, of Lopressor, 360 mg, of verapamil, .4 mg nitroglycerin patch. And now he wants to add 10 mg of Ramipril ( Altace ) a day, my recent cardiograms have have shown sinus bradycardia. That's before starting the Ramipril , I'm just very leary about starting the Ramipril in first of all the highest dose there is, and second of all it could further lower my heart rate and send my heart into an AV Block that could lead to many things not good !
View 2 RepliesFrequent Dizzy Spells
Whenever I stand up after sitting for a few hours, I feel extremely dizzy and sometimes my vision just kinda black out and become blur for at least a few seconds. I know this is common if you have been sitting for too long. But I have it very frequently, at least 2-3 times a day. I don't used to have this last time even if I sat down for quite a long period.
I have been eating well and sleeping well. My blood pressure measures 92/62 which I suppose is in the healthy zone. My family and boyfriend said I have lost weight, but I still look the same
Anxiety :: Dizzy Spells
I was wondering if anyone else suffers from dizzy spells? I was sat down in work yesterday (I work in a bank so I stare at a screen all day) and I just couldn't look at the screen for long periods of time it made me feel quite dizzy but when I walked I was okay, was wondering if anyone else also feels like their anxiety never goes away like it feels as though there is something always there, whether it's feeling sick having a panic attack or just a feeling of unease

View 7 RepliesMirtazapine :: Suffering With Dizzy Spells
I have just started taking mirtazapine 15mg to help with stress and anxiety at work. The first few days were spent feeling very tired and spaced out but then not much of a side effect. However I have tried to work out a few times to help with the stress and each time have become very dizzy, headaches and nearly to the point of passing out (I'm not exactly a gym bunny but am used to working out and running 5k relatively easily- today I could only manage 3k!)
View 3 RepliesHyperthyroidism :: Dizzy Spells And Lightheaded
I first posted on here 3/4 weeks ago after blood tests showed I had an overactive thyroid. The doctor think it`s Graves as I have some eye problems too. These forums have been a great source of information and helped me get through those 1st weeks.
However I`m a bit concerned because for the past 3 days I've been lightheaded. This comes in spells, so maybe a better description is `dizzy spells.` I saw the duty GP yesterday who told me to stop the beta blockers (bisoprolol) and that helped as I wasn't too bad last evening (after I usually take the bisoprolol), but today the dizziness has come back, but not as bad as its been over the weekend. I`m wondering are dizzy spells another hyperthyroid symptom.
I still haven`t gotten my blood levels from my doctor - all he told me is that I was extremely hyperthyroid- and yesterdays GP told me that my levels are getting better. At one point the GP looked my symptoms up in a handbook - so as you can see this doesn`t give me much confidence with my local doctors. I`m due to see the endo team in 2 weeks time and hoping to get more answers then.
Vertigo :: Dizzy Spells - When To Worry?
I have been suffering with dizziness for quite a while now, it all started with headaches then I'd get really dizzy, I had a ct scan and all was well however after the birth of my second son in April this year I was laying on the sofa I went to get up and I couldn't focus on anything, I was so dizzy it was unreal, I went to emergency docs who said it was labyrinthitis and prescribed some tablets which didn't really work! Ever since then I have been so dizzy, I have seen ent and they said all is good nothing to worry about but why do I keep feeling like this? I could be sat at home doing nothing and it just comes over me I go all lightheaded and then I start to sweat and panic that I'm going to pass out its horrible, just walking around sometimes I go dizzy and feel all funny I don't know what to do anymore, I've had bloods etc and all normal I just want to know why I feel so terrible all the time.

For the past few years I have been suffering with dizzy spells, but It only happens when I am in a car, driving in a straight line, it feels like everything is moving a lot faster that it is and I can't focus on anything!
My blood pressure if fine!
I have been to a neurologist and had a MRI scan, conclusion was, everything was fine.
I was then sent to audiology that ran every test in the book, they told me my ears are ok
I went to my opticians who ran a peripheral vision test about 5 time and said everything was fine!
My GP said there is nothing else that can be done!
