Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Shaking Steering Wheel And Pulsing Brake Pedal At Speeds Above 55mph
I bought 09 GX-470 4K miles ago..has 50K on it. Ran perfect when we bought it. wife said it started doing it 1 week later. I drove it and felt like warped rotors to me. replaced front rotors and pads with cheap wearever brand...I Know...I was sort of trouble shooting..did nothing ...did the back rotors and pads and seemed to fix it..did proper bed-in of new parts but, never checked at speeds above 55mph. recent trip got us up to speeds above 55... at these faster speeds when brakes are applied we get a nasty wheel wobble and a pulsing pedal...braking below 55 it feels fine.. thought's ?? last car was a 4runner which has the the same rotors and pads and never had a problem...could it be ABS ?? should I go with new oem rotors and pads ?
View 10 RepliesPrius (2004-09) :: Severe Vibration When Engine Is Running
I have a 2005 prius, and it has developed a severe vibration when the engine is running. It is only when the engine is running, even in park. I'm thinking it's the motor mounts, but I was wondering if there could be another cause. I do not have a check engine light, and the engine appears to be running fine. the vibration goes away whenever the engine cuts off, and there are no other drivability issues.

I have a 2010 F150 5.4 with 43k miles. When approaching traffic lights or making a turn and you are approaching idle speeds the truck will start to stall out then ultimately shut off, causing me to loose all functions. It has cause my wife to almost get into a couple of major crashes. Sometimes when trying to start it back up it acts like it is not getting any gas it just keeps turning over. I took it in and it could not be diagnosed because they could not duplicate the problem. This will happen for a couple of days and then be fine for a month or two then start right back at it.
View 2 RepliesFord Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Vibration When Cruising At 45MPH And To A Lesser Extent At 55MPH
I have a 2002 SD 4WD auto trans extended cab/short bed (92K miles). Run 55psi front and 70 psi rear per door placard. Recently started getting a vibration when cruising at 45MPH and to a lesser extent at 55MPH. I was due for new tires so I got Hercules which where balanced and also had the alignment checked (no problems.) Vibration has subsided greatly but still does it at 45MPH. A little faster or slower and it goes away. I checked the u-joints on the (one-piece) driveshaft and they seem tight. I do not feel any vibration in the steering wheel but really cannot tell if it is coming from the front or the rear.
View 3 RepliesTouareg :: Water In Rear Hatch - Vibration In Steering Column When Approaching Stop
T-reg is at the dealer and told it won't be back for at least a week. I noticed water in the rear cargo area under air compressor after rain. Also, rear wiper makes a terrible noise when turned on. Was told that replacement parts are not local and would take at least a week.
Noticed vibration from the steering column area when coming to a stop at a traffic light? Be sure to check your cargo areas!!!
Saturn - Vue :: 2004 V6 Shaking And Vibration From Front End?
Several months ago already, when I am driving up any type of slight incline, usually it happens between 2 and third gear shifting, It is an automatic, I can feel a vibration that comes through the pedal , and floor board. It actually makes the whole front end of the car shake, almost like a tremor. Over time it has gotten worse. Now when I'm sitting at a light it has a noise it makes and also rattles. It sounds somewhat like I'm grinding on the muffler, or transmission. I don't know what it is.
View 5 RepliesSubaru - B9-tribeca :: Pulsation Happens When Braking And Gets More Severe When Stop From Higher Speeds
I change my own pads as a good lifetime warranty with free replacement from Autozone is great!
But with the Tribeca... I changed the front rotors just like all my other cars over the years.. and now there is pretty severe pulsation when trying to brake... I've checked the rotors and pad replacement twice now and all looks perfect.
I searched this pulsation issue and saw on a Jaquar site that you can ruin the ABS on some cars when you don't drain excess fluid as you push the piston back to install then new thicker pads..
Is this an issue for B9? I don't see it anywhere... I'm ready to bring it in the shop.. the pulsation ONLY happens when braking and gets more severe when stopping from progressively higher speeds...
Prius (2010-12) :: Towing And Speeds Over 85 Mph Can Result In Severe Engine Damage
My owners manual for my 2010 Prius says speeds over 85mph can result in severe engine damage. It also states you should not pull any type of trailer, but I have seen a few Prius's with trailer hitches but I would not try it.

82000 kilometres on my 2012 v. 16 inch wheels. Serviced at the dealership right on schedule since new. Last service at 80000 they said the tires are at 2/32 tread depth and recommended replacement. Michelin energy savers, original tires. My monthly driving is only around 600 km so I decided to wait till the spring to change them.
View 19 RepliesFord F-150 (2009-2014) :: Severe Vibration And Chirping Sound
Bought my 2009 super cab with 6.5 bed little over a month ago. It has the 4.6 3v. A couple weeks after I got all the symptoms of a dry slip yoke. Thumping at stop and start. Shortly after I also started getting a very bad vibration the got progressively worse during acceleration. Felt like the truck was going to bounce off the road. With the vibration there was also a loud chirping noise from underneath. Thinking this was related to the skip yoke problem I pulled the driveshaft and lubricated the yoke with CV joint grease my dealer gave me since they didn't have the Teflon grease.
Truck was fine for a couple weeks. No thumping no vibration no chirping. Last week the vibration and chirping came back just as bad. I got the ford Teflon grease and pulled the driveshaft again. The very next day the vibration and chirping came back. No thumping or other noise like before my initial grease job. When it starts shaking I stop and shut the truck off. Usually once I do that and wait a couple minutes I'm ok. Only happens intermittently. U joints?
Prius (2001-03) :: Severe Vibration When Turning Hard Right Followed By PS Error Code
This summer my power steering went out. I replaced the steering rack with a remanufactured rack, which failed. I got the replacement rack replaced by the remanufacturer and installed by a different shop. Same problem: SEVERE vibration when turning hard right followed by the PS error code, or just little twitchy motions when driving. I'm having the second shop take a look at it again this monday as I suspect that this is a data processing issue.

My wife's 04 AWD 2.7 Santa Fe has developed a severe vibration. I have rotated tires, checked ball joints and tie rod ends, and had it aligned. The tires show very even wear and don't appear to have any bulges or broken belts. The vibration is so severe that the vents rattle louder than max radio volume, but it completely disappears in even the gentlest right turn.
View 6 RepliesFord Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Severe Vibration - Unable To Drive Over 30 Mph?
have a 2006 Forest River Lexington 255 GTS on a Ford E450 chassis. We purchased it used 2yrs ago from a private owner with only 20,000 miles. It had a slight vibration which got worse over 60 mph. All tires were replaced and when that didn't work, took to a different dealer to have road balanced. We drove the home some and the vibration got worse starting about 40 mph. We took it to a local truck repair shop that does drive-line work. They have replaced the transmission tail housing with a bearing it, had the drive shaft rebuilt including new u-joints and re-tubing the front driveshaft. The vibration now is worse than ever..so bad that it's not drive-able over about 30 mph.
View 7 RepliesFord F-150 (2004-2008) :: Vibration Between 40 - 45 And 52 - 62 Speeds
I recently had u joints and left front wheel hub assembly replaced at a local mechanic. Ever since I have a vibration between 40-45 and 52-62, the vibration can be felt in the steering wheel, the seat and the floor. The mechanic claims I need a new driveshaft as some of the counter weights were starting to rust. I indexed and removed the drive shaft and had it rebalanced at a local machine shop. This did not solve the vibration problem. There is also a transmission leak starting from the extension housing. How I can start to trouble shoot the problem. 04 F150..
View 2 RepliesFord F-150 (2004-2008) :: Vibration At Speeds Of 15 - 30 Mph
I have had a 2004 Extended Cab F150 5.4L for a few months now. It just started vibrating at speeds between 15 and 30mph on accelerating or deceleration. Doesn't matter if I'm turning or going straight, just those speeds. It's fine otherwise. I put it in gear and held the brake down and brought the rpms up to 3000 to see if it would shake with a load, thinking a possible misfire, but nothing abnormal.
It's an automatic transmission. I started off in 1 and 2 and it seems to lack power until it shifts to 3rd gear - which is about 30mph. It also seems to lack power in reverse ... no slipping, but seems to have to give a lot of gas in order to go over the slightest incline backing up.
Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: 2007 - Vibration From About 45 - 50 And 70 - 80 Speeds
I have a 2007 F150 (2wd) with 80k. My truck recently was vibrating under braking so i took it to my mechanic to have the brakes fixed. All the rotors needed to be replaced. In doing so, the front rotors were changed out with the kit that converts the front rotor/bearing assembly into two separate pieces to cut down on maintenance costs in the future. With this being said, after getting this work done, the truck didn't vibrate anymore... that is until i got it out on the highway. Now the truck vibrates from about 45-50 and 70-80 pretty bad. The steering wheel shakes back and forth too. I have gotten the tires balanced in hopes to fix this problem which it didnt. What could this problem be?
View 4 RepliesCavalier - Chevrolet :: 2004 - Hard To Accelerate At 35 - 55mph
Like I said, 04 cavalier automatic.. Bought it used over 200thousand miles, but in PERFECT SHAPE, engine is beautiful.. No leaks that I could tell from the ground. Just put on new rotors & breaks,.. Now the problem.. under neath my petals sounds like doo doo doo doo, like a really big fan, & Its hard to accelerate at 35-55mph.. When i do it has to like catch up with itself, as if not going into 2nd gear.
I know nothing about cars, so I am describing the best i can.. Its also been sucking gas like crazy.. but no leaks? All my lights are lit up.. ABS trac off, service, & check engine. One guy said the noise is someone impacted on my aluminum rims too tight & they could be bent, it was very hard for him to get my tire off to change rotors..
Ford - Mustang :: 2004 V6 Auto - Rumble-strip Like Vibration At Speeds Between 35 - 55 Mph
I recently bought a 2004 Mustang convertible V6 auto with 180K miles to be my daughter's first car. The car has a driveability issue. It has a "rumble-strip" like vibration at speeds between 35-55 mph. This is when accelerating or decelerating. If I slip the car in neutral when driving the vibration is gone. Here is what I have done: new plugs, wires, coil. New u-joints. Front end needed a new tie rod end on right side, new transmission filter and fluid (only replacing lost pan fluid). Another thing wrong with the car (possibly related?) is that the ABS & traction control lights are stuck on indicating a system failure with the ABS.
Note that when replacing the ujoints I noted a couple of things:1- there is SOME amount of play at the transmission tailshaft bushing. It seemed excessive to me, but a local transmission shop told me that if it is not leaking fluid that it is not a problem. I did not gage the movement, but it was close to 1/16".2 - The other thing I noticed is that the universal joint for the rear yoke was a little bit stiff, meaning that it did not move as easily as I would have thought that it should. This was the case with both the old rear u-joint and the new, This indicates to me that the pinion trunnion ears are not perfectly aligned, but not sure what I should expect.
Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: 2007 - Rear Driveline Vibration At All Speeds
On my 07' I bought it home mid AUG. It has been getting much worse to a point there is a rear driveline vibration at all speeds above 40 and up to 70. I used to change intensity whether you are on or off the gas, and would almost vanish if in neutral. However now it is all the time.
I cannot feel any play on the u-joints, the yoke has a little play in the xfer case but is is normal like on most other trucks I have owned, and the pinion flange is nice and tight. Could this be **tight** ujoints or the driveshaft itself? It looks rusty, but there are no dents on it.
