car revs real high sometimes, other times just won't idle for long with out dying. getting harder to restart after it dies.have changed fuel sensors, oxygen sensors, throttle sensor,mass /map sensor. Whats going on with my car!

My car is over due for an oil change, well my oil light for my car came on. Well when I checked the oil dipstick it showed i needed to add oil, i did this just so i wouldn't lock my motor down trying to get it to the car shop to have the oil changed. Well after adding about 4 quarts of oil to my car it still shows i need to add oil but im below the add level...and my car isn't leaking oil and i know im putting the oil in the right spot so what is wrong with it...

I own a 97 honda Passport (270,000 miles). My air con functions okay, the problem is the noise. At idle+air on, the revs drop and an unusually loud whine can be heard. Increase the RPM and it goes away. Friend says it the AC clutch, may not be getting full 12V signal.

I've got White smoke coming out of my tail pipe of my 94 Honda Passport and I've checked the oil on it and its not milky like I feared it would be. I had some over heating issues after replacing the water pump and all the timing belts. Ran okay for about 2 days, 30 mile drives those days. Replaced some old hoses but it still overheats. Was told by a friend I could be losing coolant from the old radiator cap, replaced it and now I hear a gurgling outta my reserve coolant whenever I remove the cap; which I've never heard before. I don't know much about cars besides your general oil changes and flat tires.

I have a 99 honda passport, runs like a dream. Let me say it also IDLES perfectly.
I usually get about 300 miles to the tank, but now my miliage has dropped significantly. The check engine popped on and off for awhile and now its on steady. The computer reads the error of "Insufficient EGR Flow". My mileage has dropped down to about 240-250.
I've already put a brand new EGR Valve in it. That's the only code the computer reads.
I know my mechanic cleaned out the valve part itself I don't' know if he did anything other then that.
When he put the new valve on the car ran without the check engine light for a day then came back, and if I am not mistaken my gas mileage was back to normal, but since the check engine light has come back on the mileage has dropped back down again.

Why my '01 Passport will not start? Was driving down the road and it just shut down on me. It cranks but will not fire. Replaced timing belt, fuel pump, and now ECM still not luck. I know it's getting fuel to the rail but no spark!

I have an 04 Accord EXV6 with 237K miles. I have recently replaced shock absorber assemblies and all 6 motor mounts / transmission mounts, which resolved most of the loud "clunking" noises. However, I now have more of a "rattle" sound which I hear when one of three things happens...First, when the engine is started (typically when the engine is cold). Secondly, when shifting between park, reverse, and drive (also, more common when engine is cold). Lastly, when driving over rough roads or potholes at slow speed. The sound is the same in each of the 3 conditions, and appears to be coming from the right side. It doesn't seem to me that any bushings, control arms. etc. would be the cause since the same sound is heard during startup or gear shifting while the car is sitting still.

I have a 2001 excursion, v10 4x4 just bought it used thinking I scored until I drove it home (mostly noticeable on freeway, which I didn't do while on my test drive) the steering wheel stays straight, but the truck doesn't stay straight in the road lines,the car turns!! Feels real loose , I hear rattles, rattles going over bumps but mostly real slight uncontrolled steering and seems floaty. Is this a common problem? I did a little searching and found some posts about rattles but noble about sloppy steering.

My 2000 Passport is really sluggish when taking off. It goes really slow and then eventually picks up speed. I was thinking it was the transmission but last week the car wouldn't start either. I have an issue with my 98 honda civic lx, with 197000 mils. Recently I had my Check engine light on. I ignored it for a day. The next day started my car and in the middle of the road it stopped moving, meaning in spite of accelerating it doesn't move. So I stopped at the shoulder, turned off the engine. After a while I started again, the car moved but later on it stopped moving when I was accelerating. The Engine did not turn off during the stall. Couple of weeks back the car was shaking on the front side when I was driving, it felt like the car was about to stop as if it was short of fuel.I changed the spark plug 15000 miles back. Water pump and timing belt was changed 25000 miles back.Car has a highway mileage of 32 mpg.

I have a 2007 Honda Accord EX (4-cylinder) manual. When upshifting, after pressing the clutch and my foot is OFF the gas, the engine stays at 2000 rpm for a few seconds before falling back; often it even INCREASES speed with my foot OFF the gas. This happens only when upshifting/accelerating and even when the car is warmed up. Is it a bad sensor, computer or throttle control?

I recently purchased 4 brand new michelin tires. They are approximately 3 months old now. Beginning a couple weeks ago, my car started shaking profusely at 60mph when accelerating. When I let off the gas, it would stop. I went and got a tire balance thinking that was the problem... but it's still happening, and now it starts at about 55mph. I have no clicking sounds when turning the wheel, and my car runs great besides this! What this could be?

My 2005 Honda CRV (92,000 miles) recently started shuddering when accelerating from a stop. I took it in to have the front struts replaced (back were done about a year ago) and get it aligned. Was told I needed a new CV axel. All that got changed, but shudder wasn't better. Took it back & was told steering was loose (car was pulling to the right after the alignment) and all was good. Not the case.
Took it back and was told I needed the other front CV axel replaced. Still not better. Had all 4 tires replaced (it was time). Still not better. As a side note (might be relevant...I don't know) my transmission had to be completely replaced/overhauled in Dec 2014. Was told someone had put in the wrong transmission fluid and there were metal shavings throughout. So in just over 6 months I've put close to $5000 into my ten year old, paid off car (nothing but normal maintenance until now).
Why it is still shuddering/vibrating? Reading on here, I'm supposed to make sure the wheel lug nuts are tight, but anything else I can check? Again, don't know if this might be relevant, but the car spent its first five years in a cold climate (Germany) and has since been in South Florida.
Civic - Honda :: 2014 - Making Sounds When Accelerating
my brand new honda was recently involved in a really bad accident. It was in the shop for almost 2 months and had issues everywhere because I was t-boned. I just got it back a few weeks ago and recently it started to make a humming or ringing sound as i accelerate and start to slow down. You can even feel a slight vibration on my gas pedal and its making me very concerned since it was completely quiet prior to the accident. Thoughts? I would probably take it back to the shop that fixed it considering this would be their issue since they fixed it improperly and the length it took to fix was ridiculous.

I drive a 2003 Honda Accord and it shakes violently whenever I'm accelerating between 55 and 65 mph. If you put a shaker on the passenger seat, you'd have a martini. Approaching 55, it's fine, and then it shakes as I go up to 65 and then smooths out when I pass 65. If I am cruising, but not accelerating in between 55 and 65, it stops shaking, but once I hit the gas, it shakes.
The same phenomenon occurs in both third and fourth gears, so it doesn't appear to be related to what part of the power band the car is in. This model Accord had a recall on the engine mounts, which I had replaced at no small cost already.
