Rodeo :: 1999 Honda Passport Door Latches Non-functional
My son has been offered a '99 Honda Passport by his Grandmother. All four outside door latches are non-functional.

I have a 99 honda passport, runs like a dream. Let me say it also IDLES perfectly.
I usually get about 300 miles to the tank, but now my miliage has dropped significantly. The check engine popped on and off for awhile and now its on steady. The computer reads the error of "Insufficient EGR Flow". My mileage has dropped down to about 240-250.
I've already put a brand new EGR Valve in it. That's the only code the computer reads.
I know my mechanic cleaned out the valve part itself I don't' know if he did anything other then that.
When he put the new valve on the car ran without the check engine light for a day then came back, and if I am not mistaken my gas mileage was back to normal, but since the check engine light has come back on the mileage has dropped back down again.

Why my '01 Passport will not start? Was driving down the road and it just shut down on me. It cranks but will not fire. Replaced timing belt, fuel pump, and now ECM still not luck. I know it's getting fuel to the rail but no spark!

My 2000 Passport is really sluggish when taking off. It goes really slow and then eventually picks up speed. I was thinking it was the transmission but last week the car wouldn't start either. So we replaced the battery and then it started. Wondering if this is an electrical issue that is causing this and not the transmission.

Well when I checked the oil dipstick it showed i needed to add oil, i did this just so i wouldn't lock my motor down trying to get it to the car shop to have the oil changed. I've got White smoke coming out of my tail pipe of my 94 Honda Passport and I've checked the oil on it and its not milky like I feared it would be. I had some over heating issues after replacing the water pump and all the timing belts. Ran okay for about 2 days, 30 mile drives those days. Replaced some old hoses but it still overheats. Was told by a friend I could be losing coolant from the old radiator cap, replaced it and now I hear a gurgling outta my reserve coolant whenever I remove the cap; which I've never heard before. I don't know much about cars besides your general oil changes and flat tires.

I have a 1997 Honda Civic 5-speed with about 200,000 miles. It is making a low-pitched whining noise when I let the clutch out in neutral. I took it to a mechanic who immediately diagnosed it as the throw out bearing. Being mechanically inclined, I dropped the tranny and changed the clutch and bearing, but started it back up, and the noise is still there - as if I did nothing at all. It is not constant volume - sometimes it is louder than others. It is usually loudest first start of the day. I live in Houston, so its not like it is "cold", just not hot. To be fair to the mechanic, the bearing was quite corroded, but everything else seemed to be working properly.

have a 98 rodeo, with a V6 & Auto trans. have an intermittent problem - as I am driving engine will occasionally drop to idle speed and then pick back up to driving speed. Engine keeps running smoothly, just at idle speed.

Rodeo :: 1997 2WD - Dash Warning Lights Lit Up And Electrical System Not Charging
1997 3.2 2WD 299,000 miles original alternator
3 times in the last month when I start up first thing in the morning dash warning lights are lit up and the electrical system is not charging. AC doesn't work and windows operate very slowly. A simple rev of the engine has resolved the problem. However, the belt is very tight (and I mean very) and there is no indication of it slipping.
This morning, a rev didn't solve the problem. I only work a few miles from home and my mechanic is also very close so I just figured to head that direction. About 1/4 mile later charging kicked in and everything worked just fine.
I hate Intermittent electrical problems Where to start.
Honda - Accord :: 2004 - Whining Noise From Top Pulley
I have a 2004 accord exl (4 cyl) and it's making a whining noise. At 1st I thought it was the serpentine belt but then listen closer and it's seems like it's the water pump pulley (top pulley). I sprayed it with silicon oil and it minimized it but still comes back some with driving. The car has 110.5K miles on it. Kind of early for the water pump to go??? The belt is original and doesn't seem too bad. so I guess the bearings are going and it's time to change the belt and the water pump.

My Honda Accord 2004 is making a whining sound when I start it up. It fades while driving buy it comes back every time the car accelerates from 1st to 2nd. It is an automatic but it is about that time frame that the sound occurs.
I've checked most things but am no expert. Transmission fluid, power steering, antifreeze, battery are all topped off and I just had an oil change (where I did use regular vs. synthetic which might be a factor but I don't know).
I also recently had the serpentine belt fixed but it sounds like the noise is coming from that area when the hood is up.

I have a 2002 Honda Odyssey. I recently had the air conditioning compressor replaced. Now, when the A/C is on and I accelerate from a stop; the engine "whines" through the first 3 gears or so. Also, when the A/C starts up initially from a cold start there is an audible groan and light drop in RPMs. Also, if I turn the A/C off while accelerating the noise immediately disappears.

About 2 weeks ago, my 2004 Honda CR-V (176K miles, manual transmission) started making sort of a dry, whistling, whining sound. It's not a grinding sound but more like wind whistling through something metal...? I think it's coming from the right back wheel or wheel area. It doesn't start until I've been driving maybe 6 or 7 minutes, and usually kicks in above 40 MPH although I've heard it when going slower, too. If I jiggle the steering wheel the sound stops and starts. It also stops when I go around curves or make turns. At first it was happening all the time, but over the weekend it seemed to be diminishing.
I did record the sound on my phone and uploaded the video to the following link: [URL] .... You can hear it stop at about 16 seconds and then start again at 20. Also, starting at 35 seconds I stop for a light and then restart at about 1:10. So you can see how it kicks in as I start going faster. No jokes about my shifting or driving or the dog panting in the background. I'm sure the vid will go viral.
I took it to a mechanic Monday but he only heard it for about 3-4 seconds. He put the car on the lift and inspected the wheels but didn't see anything obvious so is chalking it up to old car syndrome. So, do I seek a second opinion? Is this something obvious for CRVs? I just want to make sure the bearings (or something like that) aren't going on it.
