Dodge - Ram :: 2007 - Gas Cap And Check Engine Lights Will Not Stay Off
I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 V8 that the gas cap and check engine lights will not stay off. The gas cap was replaced with a factory gas cap. Smoke and vacuum checks showed no leaks. The lights can be reset but after a couple of days first the gas cap then the check engine lights come back on. Disconnecting the battery did not work either.
View 3 RepliesPrius (Gen 3) :: Check Lights Came On For Active Suspension / Brakes And Engine
Today check lights came on for active suspension, brakes and engine. I lost regen braking but normal brakes worked fine. I switched the engine on and off and the lights cleared and regen brakes worked again. When I checked the codes with Scangauge it said 27 pending codes but only gave me P0001 (Fuel Volume) , B2600, and B2501.
View 14 RepliesFord Ranger / B-Series :: 1998 - Weird Idle At Stops - No Check Engine Lights
I’ve got a 1998 Ranger with 166,000 miles and it’s starting this weird idle at stops where the engine drops about 150 RPM’s and then fluctuates. The problem is intermittent and no pattern as to cold or warm engine. I changed the plugs and wires at 100,000 and the plugs again at 150,000, so the wires have 66,000 and the plugs 16,000. I really don't want to shotgun the plugs, wires and coil pack. I understand that vacuum might have something to do with my problem?

I have a 98 Dodge Dakota with 5.2 V8. On the way home today all my gauges and warning lights started going on and off and then gauges stopped working all together and all the warning lights stayed on. The engine was running fine and after pulling over and checking things out, I made the last mile or so home OK. Checked fuses and battery connection and everything looked Ok. Relay or Computer?
View 4 RepliesDodge - Neon :: 1998 - When Key Is Turned Starter Tries To Turn But Engine Does Not Spark
My Neon needed a water pump. At 204K miles the timing belt should be replaced also. The pump and belt were replaced. The motor started and the car drove about 1000ft. and stopped. There was no more spark. The car was checked to make sure that the timing belt is on correctly. The cam points to top dead center when the #1 cylinder is at peak and the crankshaft is at top dead center. Both marks align. When the key is turned the starter tries to turn but the engine does not spark. Electricity goes to the coil pack. 1998 Dodge Neon 2.0L SOHC 4 cylinder....
View 2 RepliesDodge - Ram1500 :: 1998 - Interior Lights Start Blinking When Start The Truck
I just bought a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Of course it didn't do this when we test drove it, but as soon as we put the money down the problem started. When you start the truck, the interior lights start blinking. I thought it was a door ajar warning, but after testing the doors, it doesn't stop blinking.
Sometimes it will stop when you put it in gear, sometimes it starts again. some times it stops for a few seconds and then starts again. So far it has always stopped blinking after we have driven for a little while. It seems like it will sometimes stop when I fiddle with the 4 wheel drive shifter.
Camry :: 2010 - Oil / Check Engine / Check Battery Lights All On
My wife started her 2010 Camry (4 cylinder) this morning and the Oil Pressure, Check Engine, and Check Battery lights were all on.
She turned the car off, waited and started it back on and the same thing.
I rushed our kid to day care and her to work before coming to work myself, I haven't had a chance to check anything.
I replaced the air filter and cabin air filter over the weekend and the oil was changed at the dealer 2 weeks ago.
Dodge - Caliber :: 2008 - Check Engine Light Will Not Go Off
My son had his engine replaced with a new engine due rod through engine. new engine had 4,000 miles. mechanic installed and check engine light was on. code showed o2 sensors needed to be replaced. these were replaced 2x and light still would not go off. It was taken to the dodge dealership in March 2011. ecu was found to be bad and was replaced. ecu continued to show bad o2 sensors. dealership replaced with manufacturer o2 sensors. code then showed "lean engine". The dealership could not even begin to tell us what was wrong unless they did more diagnostic testing for another $300 - 400 and that was not to fix the problem! Decided that was ridiculous. Took to an outside mechanic. Testing was done and showed that the fuel pump needed replaced. This was done. I don't believe anymore codes are coming up (this needs to be confirmed) but the engine light won't go off.

I have a 2005 Dodge Caravan, modified for use for someone in a wheelchair. On two occasions now I have been driving and have lost ALL power, including all dashboard lights, signals, power steering and power brakes. Luckily both times I was able to pull over without much problem (aside from problems steering and having to mash really hard on the brakes). Turned off the motor, restarted, and everything seemed fine. The first time this happened I took it to my mechanic who said he was unable to duplicate the problem. The second time this happened (yesterday) was after a severe rainstorm. I can't remember what the weather was like the first time it happened.
View 3 RepliesDodge - Stratus :: 2004 - Check Engine Light Keep On Flashing
I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus (165,000 Miles). The check engine light has been on for at least eight months. I took it to have it checked out and the mechanic said ''there is a very small crack in the exhaust line''. Well, now if I turn the car on cold, it shakes all over and sometimes will turn off. It smells like straight exhaust.
Yesterday I started the car and the check engine light flashed for a good minute, then stayed on. Also, when I get out from a normal drive, you can smell gas. Plain ole gas.
Dodge - Grandcaravan :: Jerky Acceleration And Check Engine Light
2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. On the way to work I was trying to accelerate from about 40mph to 50 mph and my van started to jerk a few times and then the check engine light immediately turned on. I only had a few more miles to work and it was fine the rest of the way.
View 1 RepliesDodge - Dakota :: 2004 - Check Engine Light Flashing
On empty a week ago, filled 1/2 a tank, drove home no issue. Didn't drive truck for a week. Turned it on this morning (didn't warm it up) about 10 minutes into the drive anytime you tried to accelerate, the truck would buck. If you were idling or just had your foot slightly on the pedal driving at the same speed it was fine, it only bucked when I really pushed on the pedal to accelerate. The check engine light started flashing as well.

View 1 RepliesDodge - Neon :: 1997 - Check Engine Light Has Been On And Causing Random Misfire
I have a 1997 Dodge Neon with about 153,XXX miles on it. My check engine light has been on and i know that is caused by a random misfire. But more recently i went to start my car and it started but ran for less then 10 seconds and died. I tried to start it again and it wanted to but wouldnt make the final step i guess. We checked my spark plugs and i had oil sitting in 3 of the 4 there are. We have tried starting it again after cleaning the oil out and it started on the first try, I am just afraid of messing anything else up so until we figure out why it did this to begin with the vehicle is off limits. My Fiance said we need to replace the spark plugs and a gasket.
View 4 RepliesDodge - Challenger :: 2010 - Check Engine Light Came On / Service Update Code
I recently crossed 30,000 miles on my Challenger SE and the Check engine light came on. First time at dealer they just ran diagnostics and said it was a "service update" code that they ran and turned off the light. They said this explained why it was running very rough on idle. When the light came back on, I took it to another mechanic and they got the same code, but said one of the cylinders was misfiring. Back at Dodge, they are now replacing the cylinder today under warranty. My question is: with a car this young, what would cause this to occur, and how can I take steps to protect the new cylinder and prevent this for happening again?
