Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Replaced Wheel Bearing But Noise Is Still There

So just to sum it up. Past few days I had been hearing a grinding/clicking noise from my left front tire. I had an accident on that side a few months back. Went to the mechanic and they said it is most probably the wheel bearing and possible the hub also.

They took it apart and changed the wheel bearing. After two days of getting the wheel bearing changed the noise is back. It is not nearly as loud but it is definitely there.

What it could be? Could it be the hub itself? I have a 07 Sonata with 100k+ miles on it

Toyota - Corolla :: Strange Noise Noticeable At Speeds Higher Than About 30 Mph

2004 Corolla, 100,000 miles. It makes a strange sound when moving. It's noticeable at speeds higher than about 30 mph. It changes with road speed, not engine speed. It's similar to a failing wheel bearing sound. I've stuck my head out the window on each side of the car and can't localize the noise. I checked for deflection in all four wheels, and they're all tight. My next thought was a transmission problem. I checked the fluid and found it to be at the proper level. I doubt if it's ever been changed. I drove the car and released the accelerator, and I put the transmission in neutral. The noise did not change. I'm not sure what that tells us, but it's another data point.

Currently I have the front wheels off the ground. If I run the drive system to 30 to 40 mph that way, the sound is not there. I don't know that both wheels are going the same speed, so I'm not sure it's an accurate test.I've checked wheel bearings before on my Cavalier and easily found the defective one. I could tell which one it was by hearing the noise while in the driver's seat, and the check verified that. I think I know how to find a bad wheel bearing, but maybe there's another test I don't know about. I'll search online.Maybe it's a noisy tire. I can't locate the source by ear, and that's something I'm usually good at. I wonder if the transmission or differential might be making the noise but only when it's under an actual load.

Ford Excursion :: Hub / Wheel Bearing Noise - Clicking Sound

Not my video, but I have the same exact sound coming from my passenger side wheel on my 03 V10 4X4, 130K. Passenger side only, no noise from the other side.

YouTube .....

Before I spring for the Timkin, does this sound like a bad bearing? No play in the wheel, but it's a clicking sound.

Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Medium To High Pitched Whine Noise

I have the Bridgestone Turanza EL400 radials on my car and now at 8000 miles I have started hearing a noise that is hard to describe. It sounds like a singing, or medium to high pitched whine (no, it's not the transmission sound others have reported). It occurs anytime I'm above 20 MPH. I can put the car in neutral at 55 and coast and it's still there, so it's not the engine (which is idling while I'm coasting). I can't detect any noise from the engine at all at idle or at speed. I took a dealership technician on a ride and he thinks it sounds like tire noise. I have heard some complaints on one of the tire sites about this brand being noisy after a few thousand miles.

Toyota - Corolla :: 2000 - Right Wheel Clicking After Very Hard Braking

I have a 2000 corolla ce with 51k miles I bought recently.

While going to work this morning, I had to hard brake from 50mph. The car slid several feet but came to a safe stop.

Now when I'm driving, my right wheel is clicking....like a light clicking noise. Could hard braking have damaged the wheel bearing or cv joint?

Touareg :: 2004 - High Pitched Noise From The Right Front Wheel

My '04 started making a high pitched noise from the right front wheel within the last two weeks. It's in the local dealer now and they tell me they suspect a bad right front wheel bearing. I don't see any posts about similar experiences here. I kind of worry that the fact the vehicle is two years old and only has 9200 miles on it may be part of the problem-is infrequent use enough to cause the bad bearings? I drove it infrequently (1-2x/week, sometimes no driving for a week or two) up until the last three months, and now it's being driven daily.

I have a 2010 Corolla S Got it brand new in november of 2009. Its been 5 years since I had it and never had this problem.

So this has been happening for a month now, and I can't figure out what it is? It only sounds at first startup of the day when the engine is cold and only sounds off for 1 second right when you start the car.

Toyota - Yaris :: 2009 - High Pitched Whining Noise Getting Louder With Accelerator

I have a 2009 Toyota Yaris with 35,000 miles, and fully up-to-date with all the 5,000-mile usual maintenance checks [no prior problems]. Driving on a hot day, I hit Bakersfield and the car started to make a high-pitched whining noise, which got louder with the accelerator and softer when I took my foot off the gas. I thought perhaps the car was overheating and let it rest for a while, and checked the coolant [which was at a normal level]. I finished the drive to LA and stopped by the Toyota dealer who said it must have just been the fan given the hot weather.

The noise went away overnight, but the next day I was driving around town when it was overcast and cool, and even driving locally, the car made the whining noise intermittently, especially loud at low speeds like coasting in a parking lot, and the noise has been getting louder and sounding more pathological--not like a normal engine or fan noise, but like a truly problematic high-pitched straining sound. Sometimes it comes on when I start the car, sometimes restarting the car makes the noise go away for an hour or two.

It sounds almost like an electric razor being whipped around like a numchuck - a hitch pitched whine that is rotating in the engine and speeds up with the accelerator and calms down but doesn't go away at a stoplight. Perhaps I finally ran over my neighbor's annoying kitty. But today's latest Toyota mechanic also couldn't figure it out because the noise didn't start when he turned on the car and didn't restart on his test drive, but only a few hours later after I'd driven the car around town.

Toyota - Corolla :: Sloshing Noise When Stopped - Replaced Gas Tank

I had my gas tank replaced recently and upon replacing the tank, I now notice a sloshing sound when I stop my car. It sounds like I took a gallon milk jug and turned it over completely to pour everything out- glug glug glug. It seems to be coming from the fuel tank and the car rocks back and forth a lot. Also had work done on the struts at the same time. What is the cause of this and is it safe to operate? Is it reasonable to ask the mechanic to fix it? Is it possible that the wrong tank was put on my car? I've checked for information about this particular issue but have not seen any solution about this problem when it is resulting from a replaced part.

Toyota - Camry :: Clicking From Front Left Wheel Starting At High Speed 68 - 70 Mph

I have an '02 Camry with 82,000 miles. I recently noticed a clicking from the front left wheel starting at 68-70 mph. The click varies in frequency with slight bumps in the road. It seems to stop if I touch the brakes, and it might get less if the road turns enough to increase the G force (not too many times on highway going this speed on a curvy road, so I'm not sure.) It never happens under 65 mph.

We recently had local flooding and I drove through about 8 inches of water. The noise was a few days later in dry weather at 80 degrees. It did not occur when the car was starting off cool, but not until I was driving for about 5-10 minutes. The tire and wheel look OK, but it has not been on a lift nor have I been to a mechanic yet. I don't want to get talked into expensive repairs that I don't need, but I don't want to put off something now that is dangerous or will turn into a bigger expense later.

Toyota - Corolla :: 2002 - Engine Noise On Acceleration - A/C High Pitch Noise

I have a 2002 Corolla with about 180,000 miles that has been well maintained, but I know very little about cars.

Over the past months, I've noticed the engine noise on acceleration sounds a bit louder than I would expect it to, and it seems to be getting louder over time. It's slow changing, so I'm a little unsure. And occasionally I wonder if I don't hear a sound that shouldn't be there, though I couldn't describe it yet. Mechanic said the acceleration noise is normal at start-up for older cars until they get warm, but this happens even after I've been driving a while. Worth the $100 for an engine checkup?

Also, the A/C doesn't seem to be the strongest and has a high pitch noise when I run it. Normal?

LeSabre :: Traction Control, ABS Light Came On - Replaced Front Wheel Bearing

I have a 2003 Buick Lesabre Custom, 146K miles on it

1st problem was that the passenger front wheel bearing went bad, I replaced it with a new bearing from Napa(cheaper one) drove it 1 day everything seemed fine, next day it was raining, and Traction control and abs light came on and continues to do so almost everytime I run the car. My Mechanic friend said this was a defective wheel sensor and that i should get a new one, I do not know if I should get the better one, every time I've ever changed the wheel hubs I have had this problem except when I use the more expensive hubs. Maybe I answered my own question on this one!!

Today when my wife was driving the car, the Service engine Soon light lit and it started bucking and shuddering going uphill, and it threw a code that said that TCC was stuck etc. I had been running the failing hub for a few weeks prior to this with no problems but when I changed this the other day, I started having problems.

Toyota - Corolla :: 2003 - Fuse Box Under Steering / Relay Making Clicking Noise?

I have 2003 Toyota corolla. Recently one of the relay from the fuse box under the steering wheel started making clicking noise. I got it fixed from my mechanic by replacing it twice. When my mechanic checked for codes, he found that there was some problem with igniter circuit and car's motor is not able to generate enough power. I have observed that whenever I try turning on the heater, the relay also starts making clicking noise. I got it diagnosed from a professional auto electrician but he was also not able to find the fault and now the check engine is on all the time and flashes some time. I don't know how to fix my car.
