Prius (2010-12) :: 2015 - Water Splashing / Sloshing Sound When Parking
I bought a new 2015 Prius last week. Today, after I was cleaning only the tire/wheels cavity area by hosing it down with water. I heard a water splashing or sloshing sound when i was parking the car back in the garage when the car is moving. My theory is that the water still remains in some cavity in the car. So I will see if the noise is still there tomorrow when I go to work.

Prius makes all kinds of weird and almost funny noises; brake pump, electric motor hight pitch on braking and on ev mode.
I have 4 bare with me-questions:
When I start the car, before the ICE goes on, I hear a noise way back from drivers seat. Sounds like from back seat/trunk area. Sound is kind of pumping, low noise and goes on for maybe 3-5 seconds. Is it the gas pump? I have heard gas pumps before in cars on start and these is quite similar but louder
When I start engine cold(its around 5-10celsius now here on Finland, about 41-50 F), the ICE idles little uneven. RPM seems to be little waving, not much but audible up and down. I aint no expert but the rpm change is not big, maybe changing max 100-200 rounds up and down. Is this normal? My earlier car started cold in higher rpm but did not wave up and down.
Also to do with earlier question; when ICE is still cold( not freezing anyway) the first couple of stops at lights I very clearly feel a shudder. Keeping the brake pedal down and waiting on red light, the car shakes back and forth so that I feel it and even think someone standing outside car might even notice car trembling. Also ICE sounds abnormal at the same time; its not smooth sounding, kind of like misfiring, uneven sounding. Feels like gasoline is just about to go empty or car is stalling. Is this normal in "cold" weather? Heck, its not even below zero C here and car sounds like that.. waiting for winter and it gets -25 Celsius..
Touareg :: V10 TDI - Clicking Noise Under Hood About 1 Or 2 Clicks Per Second
For the first 10 or 15 minutes after starting the truck I hear a clicking noise under the hood about 1 or 2 clicks per second. It's kind of a mechanical sound, maybe like a pump working. Could this be the Webasto heater working?

Having issue with water being trapped in the frame of the car?
Yes, I know, it sounds completely peculiar but it is driving my wife and I crazy. It sounds like there is a bucket of water sloshing around in our backseat. However, there is no water, not a single drop, anywhere around the car or inside or outside of the car. We had heavy rain Wednesday night so that could explain the source but I can't find the entry point or exit point of the water anywhere on the vehicle.
Whenever we accelerate or brake, I can hear water rushing forward or backward but can't locate where the noise is coming from. Nothing is wrong with the car but I can't imagine this is a good thing.

I noticed that I was leaving a trail of water as pulled into the driveway. I thought it might be coolant, but it turns-out that an area under the hood had filled-up with water. It was the area right in front of the windshield, holding the battery. There was a pool of water there, as wide as the car, and about 6 inches deep! It came right up to the brake fluid reservoir. I assume that there's a drain hose from this area somewhere that's plugged?

2008 VR6 Touareg with 71,000 miles. When he starts it cold the idle jumps around and is very rough. After 30 seconds or so it calms down, but you can tell it's still just not right. It also makes this puffing sound especially around the exhaust. At least puffing is how I'd describe it, maybe I can take a video of it at some point. No visible issues anywhere in the engine bay or anything that looks out of place. I ran an auto scan with VAG-COM and I pulled absolutely no faults. I found that puzzling.

So I fill up my 2007 Sonata for the very first time. I'm squeezing the trigger on the pump, it clicks off automatically when it senses it's full, then about a pint of gas backs up out of the tank and onto the floor. Is there some sort of design flaw on the Sonata that causes this to happen? It could have been a problem with the pump, but I don't usually have that happen with my other cars.

Twice I open the hood of my SD and I see water pooled up around the intake manifold on my 2001 F250 5.4. This happen when we have heavy rain. My truck is sitting on my drive way that has some angle to it. When it rains, all the water from the roof flows down the windshield and somehow the water is getting into the engine bay.
I cleaned out all the leaves and made sure the rubber molding were in place near the firewall, but it happen again last night. Is there something wrong with my truck to keep the water out. I suppose I could turn the truck around so that the rain will flow from the roof to the bed. But, I like parking my truck the way I park it.
Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Fuel Overflowing And Splashing Gas All Over The Place
My 2003 F150 extended cab (4x4, 4.6) won't take fuel without overflowing and splashing gas all over the place. Even if I run the pump at very low rate it still splashes back.
I replaced the tank last fall and it worked fine afterward for several months but the last few times I tried to fuel it I have had problems. I don't drive it too much so I only need to fuel it once a month or so.
Where I should start looking?

I have never noticed before but today I noticed the fluid inside the brake reservoir was bubbling or splashing around , whichever.What would cause this. I did just finish up on an intake manifold gasket replacement job. Drove for the first time today and that's when i noticed the 'bubbles'.

i just installed a low level adapter for a subwoofer in my Egg (non-vav). As i was reinserting the radio the hood indicator came on about 1" before "clicking" into place. I heard this could be a microsensor telling the alarm the radio is missing. I also had the interior lights shut on and off as i was working on to fix the problem.

2. Wipers work only when they want to
Also, cover to ash tray/lighter in center console popped off its tracks.

Touareg :: Smoke Coming From Right Side On Hood / Burnt Rubber Smell
When I drive home from work at night I see a thin white smoke come from the right side on my hood. (Headlight area) I open the hood and I can't pin point it....smells vaguely on burnt rubber. I am new to a TDI so maybe I'm just being an idiot, but what is it? I drive spirited on the way home, but dont floor it. I do have one hill thats pretty steep I usually charge up...(fun to burn the rice rockets who struggle!) I thought maybe parking brake? Its only got 750 miles on it, so maybe its oil burning? 2006 v10

A relatively loud under hood squeak at idle has developed.
Applying some pressure to the metal fuel lines by the engine works.
Is this noise associated with the TSB that addresses the fuel line noise under the passenger seat ?
It seems to be a different issue.
Town Car :: Buzzing Sound Under Hood - Can Idle Air Control Valve Be Cleaned?
I have been getting a buzzing sound under my hood, usually in cold weather that lasts a few seconds, happens after I go about 1-2 miles from my house, did online research and it might be my IAC valve getting internally dirty.
Could replace it for $50.00, some You Tube videos show people cleaning theirs on other brands of cars, can the Ford IAC valve be cleaned up with a little carb cleaner and cotton swabs?
Touareg :: Water / Condensation In Fog Lamps
Just noticed a considerable amount of condensation on the lenses of both fog lamps. Since I rarely, if ever use them, I'm wondering if this will be a problem over a period of time. Does this indicate a flaw that I should address with my dealer?
