Tiguan :: 2012 - Steering Voice Button Does Nothing?
I picked up a 2012 SEL w/ RNS-510 today and the steering wheel voice button doesn't work. I checked it with vcds and its coded for voice command to work. Did the 2012's cone with a harness for voice command or do I need to add the wires to the harness? My rns-510 is a version F and the service records show that the original was replaced under warranty. It's running software 3690 but I'm installing 4366 in the morning. Does 3690 disable voice command? I know it works with 4366. I'd mess with it tonight, but I drove 500 miles each way to get it so I'm ready for bed.
When I press the star button on the rns-510 the annoying voice says, "route guidance is not available".

Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Voice Recognition Button Won't Work
I have a 2012 Prius III and from the time I bought the car I have been having ongoing multimedia system and voice activation problems. I have taken it into the dealer numerous times, and they often say they were unable to duplicate the problems (so I started recording the issues with my iphone!). The third time I took it in with the videos in hand, they agreed to replace the multimedia unit...unfortunately, the problems persisted. They are outlined below.
1. Voice Recognition button doesn't work about 50% of the time. When pressed, it displays "Voice Recognition Not Available"
2. When plugging in my iPod, the multimedia system will often reboot
3. The touch screen buttons sometimes do not work (may 25% of the time, and only some buttons, not all of them, and they are different every time)
4. When my iPod is plugged in and I navigate to the playlist, the wrong songs will be in the playlist.
5. When plugging in my ipod, the screen will just load and load and load....forever...until I unplug it and plug it back in from the center console plug (not from the iphone side).
Turning my car off, then back on often resolves the problems.
Lexus IS 2014+ :: Voice Control Button Adjustment To Skip Introduction?
Is there a setting to adjust the voice control button so it skips that introduction? I feel like I have to wait for an explanation every time when I just want to say a quick command.

I recently purchased a used 2010 GTI with the Autobahn Package, leather seats, Nav, the 510 nav/sound system unit etc. The steering wheel has the button on it that would normally be used to control phone or sound system functions by voice, but when I press it, it acts much like the phone button on the bottom left of the radio/media unit - ie. it mutes the radio, but doesn't do much else. I just wanted to check if that is normal behavior or if the fact that I have that button on my steering wheel mean that it is supposed to function?

A few weeks ago my wife drove the Tiguan but it was low on gas. The yellow light was already lit but there was enough to drive a few more kilometers. The display also gives you an estimate, so nothing to worry about.
When she came home, she claimed that she heard a voice coming from the dash giving a warning. Something like:please fill gas. I said to her, no way you're mistaking. You probably saw the warning in the display telling you to get gas and that there are just 20 kms to drive untill empty. But she was absolutely sure about it, there was a warningvoice, not just the text in the display. Since then, I tried to create the same situation by driving the Tig untill the last drop of gas but the car kept silent.

Rodeo :: Blinking Dash Light When Hit 4x4 Button
What a constant blinking 4x4 dash lcon light means? This happens when I hit the 4x4 button, usually the light goes on solid but now it just blinks until I unselect the 4x4 option. It is going into 4 wheel drive because I can feel the heavy steering so I believe the selection mech. is working. I have tried the owners manuals fix for this issue with no change. All tires are the same size and in good shape.

The other I has a slight side impact with my '04 Touareg and the only the side air bags went out. The good news is that the Touareg survived with only limited damage on the passenger's mirror and some scratches on the wheels. However the car shut down completely and would not start again!!! I was told there is a "cut off" switch that shuts down all electrical power supply to avoid any further issues that may occur after an accident. I was not able to locate such switch/ button if that exists.

Other than checking the fuse and the valet switch, anything else to look for when the trunk will not open via the key or the dash switch? The car does make the beep when the key remote is pressed, but no open. Also, the top works fine. Gas door works fine. Manual release of trunk also works.

I Have A 2001 Chevy Blazer The 4x4 will not engage. I Press the 4x4 Auto, Hi or Low button on the dash they just keep flashing. you can hear the transfer case engage, but It will not be in 4 wheel drive. I have tried driving around with the light flashing to see if it would engage it did not.

My V10 has the wood steering wheel, and the button to turn heat on and off. I have not been able to get this feature to work. On questioning the dealer they said that this option was not offered in Australia. It seems unlikely to me that a manufacturer would make two types of wood wheel as the production run would be more expensive than just one.
