Touareg :: 2004 - ESP Light Comes On After Start Up And ESP Console Button Lit Off?
I had my 04 Treg vagged over a year ago to turn off the seatbelt chime and turn on the DRLs when the hi beams are on. I have not have any problems related to the Vag. This week my ESP loght went on so I brought it to the dealer (a new dealer, who has not worked on my car before). Tech states that the Vagging may have screwed up the codes and caused the ESP fault and some of the other strange things that have happened such as Key Battery Not Found and my audio cutting out for 10 minues last week. He said he could not reset the codes because he did not know the factory defaults. He stated he turned my DLRs on when, in fact he actually turned them off.
Before he noticed the Vagging, he changed the Clock Spring. However, the ESP light returned on and they returned the car to me with the ESP light still on. The ESP light goes off when I start the car and initiall drive but it then returns on. Also, the ESP button on the console is lit off stating that ESP is off.

I picked up my new truck this week and am trying to learn everything about it. My current issues is my heated mirrors. My mirrors have the little icon in the corner for heated mirrors, when I looked in the manual to find the button to turn them on it showes the rear window defrost and the mirrors on the same button with both icons. My truck only has the button with the rear window icon on it. Do I have the wrong mirrors or the wrong button? Truck is a 2012 CC lariat with the Ultimate package.

My V10 has the wood steering wheel, and the button to turn heat on and off. I have not been able to get this feature to work. On questioning the dealer they said that this option was not offered in Australia. It seems unlikely to me that a manufacturer would make two types of wood wheel as the production run would be more expensive than just one.

I don't have the winter package on my early production V8, but the button to control the heated steering wheel is present. Is it there on all vehicles, but non-functional in some, or did I luck out? Are you able to control/change radio chanels and cd tracks from the buttons on the steering wheel besides the controling volume. I remember when I test drove a base model Treg the salesperson was showing me this using the thumb wheel he was changing radio chanels. For some reason I can't do the same.
