Touareg :: Power Washer For The Headlights Went Missing
This afternoon when coming back to my car I noticed that the small panel which covers the passenger side power washer for the headlights was missing. The car was parked in a safe place and I don't recall using the windshield/headlight washers recently. I does not appear that the piece "broke" in that from what I can tell there are no rough edges or anything that indicates it snapped off.

The temps drop enough this time of the year to necessitate adding air to the tires. Last week, got a low pressure warning, and pumped up all my tires to the desired PSI. On the road today, and decided to check to make sure they were all even. I noticed the right rear tire on the MFI icon was grey, and where the pressure is was a grey dash. Was driving for some time, and it never came back on. Then, when I exited and restarted, the right rear showed up, but now the left rear was gone. Then, after driving a few miles, all four showed up?? Never noticed this before. Could this be due to a low battery in the TPS, or some other weird gremlin.

I only see highway numbers on the map display, not street names. Is this because it is a CD-based nav system and not DVD-based (my DVD nav system on my Mini Cooper S displays all street names)?
Maybe I am missing a setting?
Touareg :: 2004 V8 - Tire Pressure Selection Missing From Menu
All of a sudden my tire pressure light is on saying low tire. But they are fine of course so I go to check what is up and the tire pressure selection is missing from the menu. Sitting still of course. Tried everything short of hooking up the vag tool but figured it could not make it reappear ??
2004 V8 with almost all options.
Touareg :: Comfort Section Of Computer Display Tire Pressure Missing
My friend stopped into see me today cause he thinks I'm a VW guru. His LF tire was at 34 psi and the other 3 were at 44psi. Of course his low tire pressure light came on, but he told me he used to be able to see his tire pressure under the comfort portion of his computer display. He scrolled down to show me it wasn't there anymore. Where it went? He now knows why the light keeps coming on cause he has a leak. He should be able to monitor it I presume.

I just replaced the ignition coil as recommended by the computer and the car ran fine for a few days. Now it starts missing about a mile after starting, for a while. Then it almost never misses after it is fully warmed up. The computer does not find any issues at this time.

Just finished changing my oil and noticed that the dipstick was cracked. Upon further inspection I noticed the end which mates with the plastic tube was cracked and there were missing chips. I can only imagine where they ended up, in the oil. My question is, what to do? Since this is a plastic component, I assume that it will not harm the interior engine parts, but not 100% sure.

Recently my B5.5 V6 has been acting funny when I start it after it has sat for a while (several hours). It doesn't want to start, and when it does, it seems to be missing. Clears out pretty quickly, but it's got me scratching my head. Only does this when it's been sitting for a while (>5-6 hours or so). I'm thinking fuel pressure accumulator.

My car runs fine when it's cold, but once it warms up during idle it will try to cut out and start missing very, very badly. CEL came on and it wouldn't shift into third gear, so had the codes checked, and it said cylinder 1 misfire, cylinder 2 misfire, random multiple misfire. So, changed the spark plugs and air filter, but it's still doing the same thing. Almost didn't make it home, but once I turned the air conditioner off, it ran much better. What should I check next? what could the problem be?

It is missing a fan in the engine compartment but it doesn't seem to overheat. The fan is not the radiator fan and I am wondering if it is a problem. If I sit at a light the smell of burnt oil also starts coming into the car through the heater. I am just wondering, what kind of oil recommended for a passat with that kind of mileage?

I have just bought the Passat 2002 TDI AVF engine. When I open the fuse box cover and look at the scheme, I can conclude that some fuses are missing. Probably I don't understand the symbols' meanings. For example the fuse 41 is missing, but my ABS works. But I have the ESP so though that is the same device probably the fuse 42 is for ABS too. Then, the fuse 9 is missing, and my car has the mirror heat function. How can I test do they work? Does the little symbol on the heat switch become yellow when they work? Fuse 10 is missing if I understood the symbol was for CD. My car has Charger in the back and it works.
The last thing is fuse 1. What is this fuse for? Is it for headlight washer, and if is, what is the fuse 3 for? I disregarded the possibility that some cars may have the washing water heater and it is may be for that. My car doesn't have either headlights washer or water heater. The fuse 18 is for long beam and signal lamp, it is obvious.
Passat (B6) :: Engine Missing After Oil Changed
Changed the oil in the car today, I added 4.5 liters and went to start it and it was misfiring. I thought what the hell did I do to the car to run so rough..I shut it down and checked the level and topped it up. Started the car and it was fine ..
I am thinking that because the oil filler cap was removed and started that the computer detected something changed in the engine . This is the first time an engine has done this to me, these things are fine tuned..Must be something to do with the pvc valve system.
C/K :: Truck Started Missing But Only Around 2,000 Rpm In Lower Gears
Recently with the rain and snow my truck has started missing but only around 2,000 rpm in lower gears. its a 1996 chevy k1500, it has new plug wires spark plugs and new distributor cap and rotor. When its dry outside it runs fine and everything is tight so I'm thinking it has to be the tower or coil.

car started missing- pulled codes got p0308 (water in plug well).Checked other wells found some oil in a few.Changed valve cover gaskets, installed new motorcraft plugs (pulled out motorcraft agsp-32F plugs, checked gap on existing plugs .044. Advanced Auto gave me agsp-32FM plugs. Gapped them same as old ones.044. Replaced CoP on cylinder 8 with a new one.Car ran worse than before, (smelled Horrible),
Decided to reinstall old plugs, Reinstalled checked for oil in wells and all dry so gasket job worked. I did find a loose CoP connector when taking apart. (did not fix the problem tho. Not sure if the plugs are different 32F old- 32FM new. not sure what the M means after the F.
Put everything back together and car is running smooth again. Took for a long drive to make sure everything is OK. When i put the pedel to floor, the car hesitates and surges. Under normal driving conditions the car seems to run fine. (no missing, smooth acceleration, smooth idle). But when i floor it hesitates and surges, but seems fine when normal driving is resumed.
Checked for codes and only pulls up a p1565. From searching other post i find that this is from a bad clock spring. Which i do have to replace (airbag light blinks 3-2, and cruise control is a little whacky. Will a bad clock spring cause the hesitation when floored?
Cavalier :: 1995 - Intermittent Chugging / Missing
1995 Cav 2.2 5spd 180,000km
Intermittent 'chugging'. Usually the car is fine for about 2-5 minutes after a cold start, then starts chugging for the rest of the drive. Almost feels like someone is depressing the accelerator pedal and releasing quickly when accelerating. When maintaining speed it still chugs and feels like it is missing. When coasting down it smooths out. Also sounds rough at idle. It is not a clutch problem as clutch seems to work fine, no slipping (under hard acceleration before chugging starts).
I've changed the plugs, replaced the fuel filter, and even tried unplugging the EGR vacuum hose (someone suggested this tactic once) . Been thru several tanks of gas, and injector cleaner.
My next guess is to replace the O2 sensor.... But where it is???, and how to?
