Touareg :: Adjusting Low Beams?

How to step by step adjust the low beams. I looked at trying to do this and haven't got a clue. Do you need to remove the whole lighting unit or is there an adjustment screw you get to by feel, because you aren't getting in back of the light assembly from the engine compartment, maybe remove the wheel well guards? I think i'm in the market for a service manual. My motto is If it aint broke...........fix it until it is!!!!!

Touareg :: Xenons Flashing When High Beams Are Turned On?

I experienced abnormal behaviour of the xenons (I think).I thought that when all lights were off (no DRL's or what so ever), and I flash the high beams (pull the left lever towards me and release) that I'd see the halogens only and no xenons, but apparently the xenons are flashing as well.

I know there's a mechanism in front of the xenon bulbs that covers the normal xenon beam partly for the normal lights, and gives you the full beam when high beams are on (the thing called "Bi-Xenon").
But I thought the xenons are not supposed to come on just for flashing if the normal lights are not already on, because the lighting of a xenon bulb is not fast enough.

Touareg :: 2004 V6 - How To Change Headlamp Bulbs (High And Low Beams)

I know the instructions are somewhere, but I am having trouble figuring out how to change the headlamp bulbs (high & low beams) on the easy side-driver side. Do I need to loosen the headlamp assembly or can I just go into the headlamp assembly without removing it?

Prius (Gen 2) :: 2005 - High Beams Not Working

I'm a new owner of an 05 Toyota Prius. Im loving the car so far, however, i am having an issue with my high beams not working. After doing lots of research it looks like the high beams on the Prius comes from the same bulb, what controls the high beams is the reflector.

My low beams and all other lights are working fine. After removing my bumper and looking through all the wiring I have noticed that their are two plugs that are not attached to anything. The lights look brand new, so my thoughts are that this car had HID lights and they were then replaced to non-HID lights.

How to get the high beams working. I don't see any HID ballast anywhere, so converting it back to HID would be costly since i would need new headlight plus ballast and bulbs.

I tried looking for wiring diagrams but can seem to find any.

Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: High Beams Only And No Low Beams After Installing New Headlight Bulbs

I have checked fuse 46 and 47, and installed new headlight bulbs. I have high beams, but no low beams. I have searched this topic but no one has the same prob it seems. My headlight switch has broken. Could it be the headlight switch?

In my manual, it says the 2002 has a fuse panel behind the glove box. I took glove box out but it doesn't look like a fuse panel.

Camry :: Headlight Bulbs - 8000K In Low Beams And 3000K In Hi Beams

I want to replace my headlight bulbs; I want to install 8000K in my low beams, and maybe 3000K in my hi beams. But all of the bulbs that I ever installed either; A the burnt out within few weeks (lost color), or B they stopped working.

Now, regular WHITE bulbs seem to work forever; but the color ones, burn out/break. Low quality?? I need a pair of very good 9006 8000K, and 9005 3000K. Again, but I don't want to change them in a week or two. I want them to last!!

Avalon 2005-12 :: Inadequate Forward Illumination Of Roadway At Night With Low Beams

I purchased a new 2012 Avalon at the end of 2012. It currently has 2500 miles on it. I been noticing that I seem to have inadequate forward illumination of roadway at night with the low beams on. There have been times when I won't see people in the a cross walk until I am right on top of them. It's making me very nervous about driving at night in the city. Is this a common problem with Avalons? Was wondering if there is an adjust that I can make or should I bring it to the dealer to do it?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Low Beams Went Out / High Beams Functional

After spending weeks ordering parts and doing research on this issue all my attempts have not solved the issue. To reiterate the issue, the high beams work, and the low beams do not. Thus far I have attempted the following without the desired result-

1. Changed the headlights out just in case both bulbs burnt at once.

2. Changed the blinker stalk in hopes of a faulty switch.

3. Changed the headlight switch to a brand new OEM Euro style switch.

4. Checked all fuses (did this first actually).

Accent RB (2012+) :: Low Beams Stay On With High Beams

The other night on my way home, I flipped on the high beams and the low beams didn't shut off. Flash to pass still works, and pushing in on the end of the stem turns the low beams off as well.

Having the column switch apart, is it possible this could be fixed without having to pull the steering wheel? Or, am I better off just spending the hundred dollars of so and putting in a new part?

Touareg :: 2005 V8 Transmission Not Shifting

It wasn't until very recently that my 2005 Touareg (V8) just dumped a plethora of problems on me all at once. System Fault Workshop, Brake Assist Failure, etc... However, one of the more serious and annoying issues is the automatic transmission.

One day, the action of pushing the shifter over into the Tipronic slot was stiff and unyielding. A little pushing here and there and it popped in there. No big deal. A few days later, once in Tiptronic mode, it refused to downshift, it would only upshift. A few days later, it refused to shift at all once pushed over into Tiptronic mode. Upon removing it back into Drive mode, it also refused to shift there.

Now, to my surprise, my Touareg will not shift gears up or down unless it is in Sport mode, which is not too great for the long-distance commuting I have been doing lately, I would like my 5th gear back. I have been unsuccessful in searching any situations similar to this and I am worried about what kind of parts could have been damaged under the shifter... but I am skeptical about what electronics could be broken that tell not only Tiptronic but also Drive mode not to shift whatsoever, and that it may be more deep-seeded than some flimsy plastic under the console.

Touareg :: 2005 V8 Won't Turn Over And Not Coming Out Of Gear

The car is parked in the street on a metered spot. The police gave me 1 night. Its sat pm, so I told roadside to come on Monday. I may get a ticket or towed by the cops.

I have had a new battery and this is my second bad (immobilizer/access control module/transmission control module)or whatever its called. Are these modules defective???

Won't come out of gear, won't turn over. I just got the car back LAST WEEK. I am losing it now (mentally), I know that the dealer can at least get the car started by disconnecting the battery cables and touching them together. This zero's out the computers bad attitude.

It does not however, correct the core issue , which remains, waiting to leave you stranded. I would have tried it myself but the car was on a narrow busy street, and I did not want to leave my legs hanging out of the car at night.

IN the day, tomorrow, should I try the cable touch on my own? How can I get at the battery and what tools do I need?
