Touareg :: Compass Display Glitches - What To Do Now
I had my TReg in for the 5000 mile service this week. Among the laundry list of items on my punchlist for them I mentioned the compass and the fact it was going on and off and the blue light was sometimes changing from dim to brighter when the headlights are on.
The dealer indicated that VWoA has acknowledged some problems with the compass display and I'm getting a new one.

I complained about this 8 months ago and they replaced the compass display module. Then my battery died about 6 months ago and they replaced the compass control module. Now it's flickering--worse than the first time where the backlight was turning on and off. It's just the backlight that appears to be flickering.

While driving I noticed that the compass is not working or its gone into some mode or something. It shows PM 0:15. Pressing any of the 3 buttons doesn't do anything except holding down the 2 small buttons at the same time brings the name/version of the compass software and releasing seems to reboot or refresh the display. But after that it comes back to PM 0:15. I should also say that after parking and locking the car the display keeps flashing the PM 0:15. 15 minutes later I checked same thing it is still flashing. Whats happening to my compass?

I can't find the average mpg display anywhere. On my 2008 I could hit the info button and it would display your average mpg but on my 2013 Prius 3 there is no reading for that, at least I can't find it.
In the owners manual there is a pic of one of the display's that has it in there, but I can't seem to find that display anywhere.
Tiguan :: Can't Find Any Auto Button On Car
Just bought a new 2010 VW Tiguan SE. We love it, however had a question regarding the automatic headlights feature. It looks like in the owner's manual there is an option for "Auto" between the OFF and headlights ON (which also illuminate the dash controls). However, I don't see "Auto" on my car! Strange.

I recently sold my much loved 2001 A6 2.7t and replaced it with a 09 4motion tiggy. Nice little car/ute and I sure do like the interior space after 165K mi of being squished into the Audi (I'm 6'6) One question about the 510N radio/Nav, how do I know if the car has Bluetooth cell phone prep? Navigating the setup -> Media -> Phone, there is an option for Bluetooth on / off. But I can't seem to find a setup screen needed to sync to my blackberry, is it possible the car does not have the prep? Not sure if-if matters, when I push the phone button the only function is radio mute.

When I set up the menu display options on my new 2016 Prius 4 Touring, I remember an option for prompts: something like beginner/advanced. Now I can't find it anywhere. Also, does the 2016 Prius 4 Touring have the same wiper blade size as the older models?

Tiguan :: All Gears Highlighted In Dash Display And CEL On
Power's out due to the storm here in New England, so I couldn't scan it yet. My wife's 4-Motion automatic '09 Tiguan has a CEL that started yesterday. Also, intermittently, all of the gears in the display are highlighted as though they have all been selected (P/R/D/S etc). I drove it this morning and it seemed to drive OK, but I don't drive it that often so I couldn't tell if it was shifting differently.

I have the Premium 8 stereo in my '13 Tig. SE and when streaming music via Bluetooth on my iPhone 5S, the album art does not display on the head unit. It does not make a difference whether it is iHeart Radio, Pandora, iTunes Radio, Tune in Radio or straight off the iPhone 5 hard drive. The album art displays just fine when I am listening to HD radio.

My 2013 tiguan dsg blue motion tdi 4 motion traveled around 75mile when going down a steep hill suddenly slowed as if I hit the brakes and the little spanner lit up on the centre display, when I tried to accelerate up the hill it jumped 2nd & 4th gears for the next 2mile, when I stopped it would not engage reverse gear, I turned off the engine, after a few minutes restarted then all was back to normal as if nothing had happened.

Today morning, when I started the car and backed out of the garage, the rear view camera display was not lit-up. Normally as I get out of the garage, it senses the change in outside lighting & changes the brightness of the display automatically.
After backing up, I put the car on Drive and then on Park, but the display was totally blank. No audio nor response by touching any buttons. Then I turned off the car & restarted it.
Then the display came up, but with this weird looking screen, which I have never seen before in the 5 months that I have owned this car..
It lasted for about 30-40 secs, with the progress bar moving all the way across. Then everything was back to normal!.

The 2nd hand multi-information display panel is from a 2004 RX330 and what are the socket behind the display panel meant for.

Prius (2010-12) :: How To Darken Display Letters And Numerals In HVAC Display
Aside from spending $ to have the polarity reversed on the HVAC display, is there anything be done to darken the display letters and numerals? In the daylight this thing is unreadable. Very poor design by Toyota. Any little tricks that I don't know about?

Not the usual. I stopped on my way home to get gas tonight when the gauge was showing one pip. Naturally it wasn't low, but I'm used to that.
The odd thing is that after I got in the car and turned it back on the gauge stayed at one pip and the fuel display on the multi-function display didn't reset.

not always, but the odd time I see out of the corner of my eye the compass flicker off and on. maybe 1-2 times a day... sometimes less than that. is this a common occurance?
