Camry :: TPMS / Cannot Find Reset Button
2010 Camry 4 cylinder XLE. Manual, page 385, shows reset button at glove compartment. It is not there. I'm guessing it's under the dash somewhere, where only a contortionist can see or get to it.

I recently sold my much loved 2001 A6 2.7t and replaced it with a 09 4motion tiggy. Nice little car/ute and I sure do like the interior space after 165K mi of being squished into the Audi (I'm 6'6) One question about the 510N radio/Nav, how do I know if the car has Bluetooth cell phone prep? Navigating the setup -> Media -> Phone, there is an option for Bluetooth on / off. But I can't seem to find a setup screen needed to sync to my blackberry, is it possible the car does not have the prep? Not sure if-if matters, when I push the phone button the only function is radio mute.

I cannot find compass on my display? IS this normal for S model? I saw some people use a gps sensor on back door to lure signal into the audio consol. Don't remember exactly. Can I replace mine with a luxury VW Navigation GPS OEM RNS-315 Touch Screen Radio? Try this? Or the compass idea into current basic radio module?

I can't figure out how to switch off the VSC or VDIM. In my Acura I have a button labeled VSA and it shuts down the traction and stability control. I want to do a burnout or powerslide around a turn. With winter approaching I just want to be able to disable the traction system in case I get stuck.
I remember seeing a TRAC off button somewhere but I can't find it.

I added air to my tires today and wanted to reset the TPMS, the manual stated that the button to hold for a few seconds is located on the lower Left side of the dash below the fuel door release button area. I searched far and wide and am unable to find any button?
Where this button is or how to reset the system.
Lexus GS 2013+ :: A/C Turn On While Pressing Auto Button?
So when I press auto(physical button) and have my temp at HI or 85, it turns on the AC as well. Why this is? I thought auto was supposed to adjust everything to get it to that temp. AC is also on when I hit the front defrost(physical button).
This is on a 2013 Premium with rear seat controls, and S Flow and 3 Zone is off, if that makes a difference. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere, I'm still pretty new to all this coming from a 99 GS 300!
Tiguan :: 2012 - Steering Voice Button Does Nothing?
I picked up a 2012 SEL w/ RNS-510 today and the steering wheel voice button doesn't work. I checked it with vcds and its coded for voice command to work. Did the 2012's cone with a harness for voice command or do I need to add the wires to the harness? My rns-510 is a version F and the service records show that the original was replaced under warranty. It's running software 3690 but I'm installing 4366 in the morning. Does 3690 disable voice command? I know it works with 4366. I'd mess with it tonight, but I drove 500 miles each way to get it so I'm ready for bed.
When I press the star button on the rns-510 the annoying voice says, "route guidance is not available".
Tiguan :: 2009 - Auto Lighting Turned On At Daytime
Recently I found that the auto lighting (dashboard light) is acting weird. Sometimes in the middle of the day, the dashboard will be lighted up (I'm not going under a tunnel, or it's not dark outside). It has happened a couple times, but the dealership said they didn't find any problem.
This is on my 09 Tiguan. There are many other users with a 2010+ Tiguan and the lighting system is very different.
Tiguan :: Going Downhill In Automatic Mode And Auto-downshifting
I was driving around some very steep hilly highways recently. I have tried this in both cruise control and normal coasting.
I noticed that the Tiguan will automatically downshift when going down a steep enough incline and a certain higher speed is automatically reached. Whether that is based on what was set by your cruise control, or even when letting the car coast down by releasing the gas peddle, it will still reach a point of downshifting automatically.
What I hate about it though is that this downshifting causes the engine to suddenly rev very high RPMs. Its also pretty loud at that point. That's bad for the transmission system right?
Usually in automatic mode driving, gear shifts up at around 2,500 RPM (mostly around 2000 RPM point). But when you are going downhill in a steep incline, the Tiguan automatically goes to a lower gear causing the RPM to shoot right up. I've had mine go up to 4,000 RPM downhill and the engine screams and spins really fast as you can clearly hear. It of course does the job of keeping the car at a certain speed, but is this bad for the transmission?
I mean, I prefer pressing on the breaks to control speed downhill. Break pads are cheap and easily replaceable. Transmission strain and failure is a whole other business. So I would prefer the strain be placed on my breaks and not my transmission system for the purposes of controlling speeds downhill. The latter failure mode will be the case if they rely on the transmission to control speed downhill.
So what is a "happy RPM" for the engine anyway? What RPM is the 2.0T engine at its most efficient?
Tiguan :: 2015 - How To Turn Off Auto Locking Feature
I've just acquired a 2015 Tiguan TSI.
I'd like to turn the auto locking 'feature' off. By this I mean the doors locking at 7MPH.
I'm a long-time VAG-COM user, and have performed this operation on a couple of previous vehicles, but the Central Locking controller isn't accessible on this car.
VCDS reports 'no response from controller' after three attempts.

I need to get the push start button out so I can clean the electrical contacts. I've seen a DIY elsewhere online but it was for a push start button located in the steering column.
Does this involve removing the entire center console, or possibly just the shift boot and ring? It's a Tiptronic 4motion.
Tiguan :: Push Button Start Does Not Work At All Or Hesitate
My 2014 Tiguan SEL has been giving me issues with the start button - hesitates at start, tries to start but doesn't and won't start at all. Took to dealership in March/April and they had it for 2 days. "Couldn't duplicate" so nothing was done.
I've read about this same issue in other VW forums and how cleaning the contact points on the start button has eliminated this problem. Unfortunately, the start button on the other VWs is on the steering column. How to remove the start button? Do I need to remove the entire center console? I've already tried by taking off the boot/trim and can't get to the button.
Tiguan :: 2010 - Auto Tranny Clunk When Coming To Stop
2010 SE 4Motion: My Tiguan's tranny seems to clunk pretty bad when coming to a stop. Wasn't a problem until after I got flashed to APR stage 1 so it may still be adapting, but I'm not sure.

Just purchased a used 2003 camry 2.0G A/T. The driver's side window slides down well when using the auto button, but gets stuck 1/4 way on the way up. Have to wait a while before holding the button to slide it up all the way. What might be wrong and how I can correct?

New sound today: a click that simultaneously happened when the parking light (a yellow light with a P) came on the dash as I applied my brakes. i had already put the car in park but not yet applied the electronic parking brake.
I found it odd as i had my hand on the gear selector and felt a slight tap. So while the car was still on and in park with no electronic parking brake applied, i let go of the brakes and the yellow P light went off. so i applied the brakes again, the click sound and tap feel from the gear selector and the yellow P light came back on the dash.
Never had that happen before. Applied the electronic parking brake and that little light came on as normal on its button. that's when i normally see the yellow P light up on the dash. I always use the electronic parking brake so i am not sure what page 205 in the manual is referring to when stated:
If the electronic parking brake has not been used for a while, an automatic system check will occasionally run while the vehicle is parked. this system check makes audible noises.
Lexus ES 2007-12 :: Auto Climate Button Not Working Properly On 2011 ES350
My 2011 ES350 has 43,000 miles and runs great. I took it to Firestone today for tire rotation, full synthetic oil change and I let the guy talk me into adding fuel injector cleaning.
When I got the car back, I noticed the Auto Climate Control button wasn't working properly. If I press it on, I can't press it off. The green light stays on. If I turn off the fan, the Auto button goes off. I am positive the button worked before the service.
What could have happened that would cause this? I know the service guy had to press some buttons to turn off the "oil change required" message. Could he have messed something up in the process?
