Passat (B6) :: 2007 - Installing RNS-510 / Sirius Module Location?
So I'm about to install an RNS-510 and I can't figure out where the Sirius module location is so I can install the extension that you need.
It's 2007 with 6 discs in dash changer with Sirius.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Leakage From The Sirius Antenna?
Noticed when I jumped in my truck during todays monsoon we had here in Colorado springs that there was water coming out of the screw cover for the bar on the passenger side. Is this leakage from the Sirius Antenna? Never had this happen and it looked like it was getting roof liner wet too. At first I thought it was from when I jumped in and water got there but after wiping it off I noticed the water kept coming and the roof liner wet spot spread. If it is the infamous antenna leak how has it been fixed?

Sirius antenna mounting locations. I first mounted on the front dash, in the center using the supplied small metal plate, right next to the GPS antenna. Well that looked ok but the reception wasn't great, in fact, I would lose reception, that's not a good thing, lol. So I moved the Sirius antenna to the left corner of the dash, up as close to the windshield that I could, reception was LOTS better, but I could see that depending on direction of travel the signal would get weaker, but not losing completely. So I moved it to the center of the dash, in the center up against the windshield, with a small piece of two way tape. The signal is now strong and haven't lost signal yet.

I've tried several times to listen to the XM/Sirius service without trying to cringe, but it's darn near impossible. It feels like I'm listening to an MP3 with a 64k bitrate. Is this normal?
The bass is fine, the highs are ok, but the midrange just sounds horrible. How to fix?
Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: TPMS Light Came On After Installing Sirius
I installed the SIR-TOY1 & SCC1 modules to get Sirius over the factory stereo in my Prius.
The next day my TPMS light was on. It wont reset. My tire pressures are 40/38. I even inflated the spare (although it doesnt even have a TPMS sensor I just wanted to rule it out!).
Im now wondering if installing the Sirius is interfering with the TPMS. I installed the Sirius antenna on the roof, near the rear passenger side. Is that too close to the TPMS receiver?
Lexus RX 2010-15 :: RX450h Sirius Keeps Going Back And Forth To No Signal For No Reason
I just bought a certified 2011 RX 450h and my sirius keeps going back and forth to no signal for no reason. I've had sirius for 9 years in other cars and it's never had this bad of reception. It's at the dealer now but the loaner 2013 RX350 they gave me does the same thing. None of my other cars perform this way on these same roads. Had this poor reception problem, what has been done to remedy?

I have a 2013 Passat SE. I have a few questions for those of you who have converted to LED taillights;
1. What year Passat do you have, and what trim level (S, SE, SEL)?
2. Do your LED taillights flicker when you first turn on the ignition? This would be a computer generated test sequence.
3. How long did it take you to do your conversion?
4. Do the outside black plastic trim pieces, on the trunk mounted lights, fit well? If not, what did you do to correct this?
Since I am not mechanically inclined (other than basic service), certainly not wiring, I asked my local dealer if they would install them for me. Their foreman is working on the car because I wouldn't be charged for every hour spent on the car. It is still likely to be a big bill, and I am beginning to wonder if it was worth it. He has spent an hour or two each day since Monday or Tuesday, plus several hours today. The lights work very well. Even the rear fog light. So, I am happy with them. However, the foreman is still tracking down a persistent buzzing sound which will likely be solved with one or two ground wires. The lights don't fit as well as the stock do, but the imperfections are hardly noticeable. On the trunk mounted lights, the black outside trim pieces barely stay on. My guess is if I shut the trunk with any force they'll fall off.
The foreman has had to completely re-wire my taillights, all the way through the door sills to the BCM. I had provided the instructions that I downloaded from this forum in another thread, however he said those instructions were for a 2012 SEL Highline Passat, which is different from mine. Note, I bought the Chinese LED taillights.
Ford Aerostar :: Converting 1993 2WD To AWD?
Is it possible to convert a 1993 2WD Aerostar EB with a A4LD to a AWD drivetrain? I am a Subaru veteran (this is my first time posting), and the mod capabilities of soobs is endless - older 2wd car to AWD is not hard at all on those cars - in fact it is a relatively easy bolt-in change.
Traction on snow (or anything else) in a stock 2WD Aerostar leaves MUCH to be desired (especially when compared to a vintage soob). How good is the AWD drivetrain overall? Is it as reliable and rugged as the 2WD? Gas mileage difference between 2wd and AWD? Handling? Maintenance? Are there different versions of the AWD? If so what are they like? I have a 1993 FSM for the drivetrain, but I don't know how similar other model years are.
Ford Audio/Video System :: 2008 - Sirius Stopped Working
2008 F250 KR Superduty with full Nav, CD, DVD,Sirius..... So one day last week I get in my truck and no sound from the radio (yes I adjusted the volume) when on Sat Radio. Changed it to FM, no problem worked great, AM same thing worked great. Navigation no problem, CD jammed to ZZ Top. Back to Sat radio and nothing. Called Sirius, account up to date (wife and sons car radio still working), sent reset signal 3 times, no go. So I played around and finally just turned to volume all the way to Max and I could hear a faint sound of music. So radiophiles WHATS WRONG WITH MY SAT RADIO!

I just replaced my OEM battery with a duralast from autozone. The battery had 138,000 miles. Shortly after, the check engine light came on and code says P0106. Map Sensor. Seems like to much of coincidence that this happened. Have read that disconnecting battery cables for 3 hours may do the trick.

This truck is from Canada. I need to convert speedometer cluster from kilometers per hour to miles per hour. The kilometers are on top and miles per hour under them. Want to convert. I have viewed kits to change the face. They have the miles per hour on top.
BUT! Does the tranny need to be re calibrated?

Outside gauges says 2C inside temp set at 71f.....

So, I'm thinking of converting my RX330 power steering to be all electric, based on the RX 400h power steering system. I know the 400h operates the power steering on a 30V - 50V circuit but I need the wiring diagram of the 400h power steering circuit to know what additional components I'll need to do the conversion.
Question: Why am I doing this?
Answer: Save on fuel economy and power steering maintenance.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Converting Center Console To Refrigerator?
Convert center console to a refrigerator? Seems like a pretty easy thing to do if you could find a 12v cooling element sold separately outside one of those portable 12v refrigerators. I've seen the OEM Ford kits to turn the console into a cooler by using ice, but I'd like to be able to cool via a 12v cooling element instead.

I have a 1998 f150 4x4 4.6 triton V8 regular cab, I would like to ditch the rear drum brakes in favor of disk brakes. is this an easy bolt on project? I do know that 2003 f150's had rear disk brakes and was wondering if i bought those parts if the procedure would be fairly easy. I know i would have to take a check valve out of the master cylinder to gain pressure to the rear.
