Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Random Misfire Code P0300 - Check Engine Light Flashing
I know it is a random cylinder misfire code however I started my car in the morning and it was fine I moved it and put it back in my driveway. I started it up later and waited for it to heat up i came back outside 10 min later and my check engine light was flashing and my car was shaking like crazy you could tell the engine was misfiring like crazy. I had under a quarter of a tank but not empty yet. I shut it off and turned it back on and it was still doing it. I drove the mile to the gas station the way it was.
Under partial throttle it was revving to 4500 and over 5, had to let of throttle to make the car shift up a gear. I filled up and started the car again performed fine after that however the check engine light was solid now and still on. I went to my local mechanic and he read that code P0300. I changed my spark plugs that day and they were crap the original spark plugs I have 65,xxx on my car now. Car is smooth now. I cleared check engine when i saw him first and it did not come back on all day even before i changed the spark plugs later that night. Why my light was flashing and why my car was acting like that till i filled up?
Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Rattle Comes On Any Random Time
I've bought 2006 gl sonata 2.4. Car sounds good though rattle noise comes on and go of any time. I can drive my car for an hour and never hear anything, or i can just start the engine and hear the rattle. The noise is the same all the time though it could be louder or more silent randomly. My AC doesn't work. One friend of me said it must be AC compressor that starts and stops by itself because of the some magnet in it. Could that be true or there is a different reason?

My car has had random misfiring when at idle and has been shaking really bad but once I accelerate and get up to speed the vibrations and misfiring stop but the check engine light flashes for a few minutes. I have changed spark plugs, all 6 ignition coils the intake manifold gasket and both camshaft position sensors. My car has 180K the codes that are showing up are 300,301,303 and 0016. I really love the car and have had no prior issues the car before this ran like a champ.

Lately I've been noticing an Intermittent/random steering wheel whine. It happens rarely, but as of late I heard it a couple times. I checked the fluid and its topped off. Car has about 85k on it. I'm not sure when it was last replaced.
I'm thinking My next step would be changing the fluid. What is the actual procedure for doing this? Also, if I do go ahead and change the fluid and still get a whine here and there. What would be my next step?
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Random Brake Warning Light
Over the past 4 months I've had the brake warning light, the one that comes on when you press the parking brake on, come on randomly. In each occasion turning the car off and then starting it back up clears it for the rest of the day. I had it happen 5 months ago, a couple months ago, two weeks ago on new years and then this Saturday and Sunday. Took it to the dealer today and it shows no codes but they managed to get it to come on once. They think its an electrical issue which makes no sense to me.

driving my '06 f250 last night, i noticed a couple random dots and dashes of orange on the warning light cluster. upon shining a flashlight on it, realized it's the ABS light (or what's left of it). there's literally 2 tiny sections of it visibly lit up. Upon shutting the truck off, and just turning the key on, I noticed the whole middle row in the warning light cluster isn't illuminating with the key on. top row (turn signals, high beams, "wrench") and bottom row all seem to illuminate fine during start up and key on. I'm mainly nervous that the check engine light could turn on and i wouldn't know. is it possible that one row of the warning lights could go out? and only partially? seems strange....

Sonata NF (2006-10) :: 2006 (2.4l Engine) Stalls On Red Light
2006 sonata gl with 4-cyl engine. Car runs/feels fine. Installed HID kit a while ago (with harness) and no problem. Driving home late afternoon (with AC on hi) stopped on red light. Radio was on but NO HID lights on - then momentarily car stalls. Starts back up right a way and NO check engine light. Tried AC- works fine, turn the lights on (HID 35w slim balast), radio on - everything is fine.
My "suspect" is old battery (original!) and I think that for a short moment charging system (alternator) could not keep up/charge battery while car was idling with AC and radio on (hi load).
How long is original battery good for (5-6-...yrs)? Looked earlier at Everstart batteries (or was it Eveready brand?) made by Johnson. I could only find a few batteries but they were sitting on the shelf since last summer (sticker said made 07/2010 !). Are they any good?

I have a Sonata v6 3.3 2007 Its passenger Air Bag light is on, how much its gonna cost me to fix it ?? and sometimes when i stop at the signal light the oil light starts blinking, why is that, and as soon as I start driving it goes away.

The airbag light in my 06 sonata has been on for the past couple days. And today I noticed when I was driving the car by myself the passenger seatbelt light was blinking and the passenger airbag light off bag wasn't lit? Even though there was no one in the passenger seat? I'm just wondering if there was ever a recall and if I should take it to the dealership.

I've finally logged about 3000 miles into my 2014 Sonata. In the last few weeks of driving, I've noticed during stop and go traffic, that initial stepping on brake pedal decompresses kinda weird. It's almost like its too squishy on the initial few mm's of stepping on it. It seems to go away after pumping the brakes after i turn off the car. But it comes back randomly, sometimes on short drives, mostly noticeable in traffic where you brake more than usual.
I brought it to a hyundai dealership to get looked at initially but the service manager played with it and didn't notice anything out of ordinary so he did not request it to be serviced. But since it came back and starting to annoy me more and more.. i need to drop it off and have it looked at. I haven't even gotten my first oil change either.

About 2 years ago I had this issue with my ABS and ESC off light would come on intermittently. I took it to the local Hyundai dealer and they did something to correct it. I was under my 5yr/60k when they worked on it. Since then I have not had it light up until today after driving the car thru a car wash. I noticed it after i vacuumed and dried the car that these lights came back on. So down the road i pulled in the fill the gas tank and when i restarted the car the ABS and ESC off light did not come on..

For about a year now the ESC light would come on. if i turned the car off and restart it would go away sometimes for couple of weeks, sometimes just for a little while.. I was afraid to take to the dealer not knowing what this would cost. A few weeks ago, I could not get it to shift up to reverse or park..
then I removed the little cover and reset the shift interlock and this seemed to take care of it. on that day the ESC light was on constantly and would not go away.. after the shift interlock reset I didn't see the light for several days..
Then christmas eve the light was on again.. and resetting the shift interlock did nothing? But if i held the button down I could shift... When I mentioned to my brother in law, he asked if the brake lights where working? good question, we checked and no they are not? He messed with brake light switch which was stuck.. and the brake lights started working and the shifter now worked also.. so Monday I replaced the brake light switch and life is good...

So my esc off light keeps coming on every now and then..what is this ? and what does that mean? I have a button for it but i never press it?

The ESC OFF light comes on on my 2006 Sonata V6 only when I am driving on a smooth road at highway speeds. It does not happen for weeks in local city driving. The vehicle had the brake light recall work performed, so I don't know why this is happening and I suppose I'll have to go to the dealer to find out. It is now out of warranty, so I'm reluctant to take it there right now.
(This car has had a throttle position sensor replaced, accelerator position sensor replaced, an ignition coil failure,so I'm starting not to trust its reliability. It's not a lemon, but it has forced me to drive in the "limp home" mode at least every 18 months or so...)
I just want to like my Sonata again... What could be causing ESC OFF light?

I have hooked up an amplifier in my 06 sonata.For that i had disconnected the battery for around 4 hours.After finishing the installation i reconnected the battery started the car now airbag light is constantly on. What should i do?

Two years ago I replaced the rear turning lights with LEDs and updated the flasher. Last week as the headlights came on I saw on my dashboard the left turn signal was on. I stopped and checked, the rear left turning light was on, not flashing and the front parking/turning light was off.
When the headlight are off, there is no problem flashing. The right side is flashing with HL on or off. I replaced the left side rear turning light with a bulb and the problem went away. The front bulb and rear LED are good. What is going on?
