Golf VI R :: Passenger Side Mirror Will Not Move Right And Left

Just the other day I noticed that my passenger side mirror will move up and down, but not right and left. Drivers side works fine. The mirrors are all stock, I haven't changed them yet. It's been pretty cold out lately and I recently washed my car (on a warmer day). Could this be the cause?

Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Passenger Side Mirror Move Only Left To Right But Cannot Go Up Or Down

On my 2005 GX, the passenger side mirror can move only left to right (horizontally) but it cannot go up or down. I did some reading and it looks like this is a 'common' problem with Lexus mirrors due to the auto tilt-down feature. Something inside must be worn out or broken and it does not move any more.

The driver side mirror moves fine in every direction, so i am pretty sure it's not a defective mirror switch. The question is.... since this is such a common problem, is there a fix for it, other than replacing the entire mirror assembly? Is there a "gear kit" or something else that i can buy, disassemble the mirror and fix it?

I found this thread on the LX forum, looks useful [URL] .....

Prius (2010-12) :: Passenger Side Mirror Can Move Up And Down But Not Right And Left

Why this could be and how I can fix it? The driver side mirror can move in all four directions. I've tried unsticking it and pushing with fingers to center it, that doesn't work. I can hear the motor when it goes up and down, but can't hear the motor trying when trying to go left and right.

Sierra :: 2009 - Passenger Side Power Window Does Not Work From Driver Side Control

My passenger side power window does not work from the drivers side control, but works from the passenger control. I replaced the master switch on the driver side and it still does not work. I have checked the fuses--Side, below and under the hood and have even found inline fuses below--all were good. Could the dealer have to program my new switch? I do not have child safety locks.

Passat (B6) :: 2008 - Passenger Side Mirror And Reverse Function Not Working Properly

I seem to be having a problem with my passenger side mirror and it's reverse function. I have a 2008 Passat Lux. I set the mirror reverse to 'on' in the MFD. I started the car, leave it in park and set up my seats and both mirrors. I press set and then 1 to memorize the positions and hear the chime. I then proceed to put the car into reverse, switch the remote mirror dial to 'R' and position it go down.

The problem I'm having is that the manual says that the passenger mirror will go to it's original set driving position if you go over 9mph (or something like that) or if you move the remote dial to something other then 'R'. But that's not the way it's working. It should ideally go back to the original position when you put the car in to drive (like my old 2002 Passat GLX did), but even when I drive off and go over the stated mph, the mirror doesn't go back to the driving position.

While I'm driving, I then turn the dial off the 'R' position, but it's still looking down....I honestly don't think that I set it incorrectly, but hopefully I am and I don't have to bring it in to service for just that. It's a convenient feature that I want to use. Don't want to curb rash my wheels by my sloppy parking or my wife's....

Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Turn Signal Indicator On Passenger Side Mirror Is Not Working

I just picked up a 2004 F150 FX4 Supercab, I had a safety inspection done and am working through some of the issues.

The turn signal indicator on the passenger side mirror is not working (front and rear indicators work). I took the mirror apart and get no voltage to the led array, next I pulled the rubber boot off of the harness in the door jam and probed the wires while with a test light and found one of the wires would blink the test lest light but the colour didn't match the the turn signal array, it matched the heated mirror wire. I probed at the heated mirror connector at the mirror and sure enough it blinks! Then I notice that the heated mirror indicator light on the center dash is blinking? I push the heated mirror button below the indicator light and ALL turn signals (front and rear) stop.

I searched the forum for mirror turn signal issues and found a thread about corroded wire splice below the fuse panel. I checked and have no splice all look ok so I thought I would post and see if I can get some direction or a schematic.

The symptoms are :

- Passenger side mirror turn signal(right turn) indicator does not work
- front and rear turn signal indicators work
- power seat works
- fuses are good
- drivers side all turn signals work fine
- heated mirror indicator light on the dash blinks with the passenger side turn signal
- pushing the heated mirror button when turn signals are flashing (right turn) results in a solid heated mirror indicator light but all other right turn signal indicator stop blinking (off)

It seems to me that there must be a short between the two circuits but where?

Camry :: Passenger Rear View Mirror Does Not Move Correctly And Won't Match With Buttons Pressed?

I just bought a used Japanese made Gen 5 Camry. The passenger rear view mirror does not move correctly. it will go left/right and sometimes down, and the movement does not match the buttons pressed. I've bought 2 replacement mirrors on Amazon and both do the same thing. I tried to swap l/r mirrors for testing. The driver side mirror works fine when plugged into passenger side, but all three passenger side mirrors do not work correctly when plugged into drivers side.

Should I try buying a mirror for a American made Camry? What is the difference?

Golf/GTI VI :: Passenger Side Mirror Moves Along With Driver Side

I've just finished installing Driver Side Puddle Lights just under the mirror. I still haven't coded it yet.

As I want to use the electrical mirrors to adjust my driver side mirror, passenger side mirror moves too. Is it possible that these faults caused by not coded ECU?

I connected ground wire of my LED to blue and black cable connected to the mirror and ran another wire from unit 10 in 16 pin door connector to live wire from my LED.

Camry :: OEM Glass For Passenger Side Mirror?

I got in very minor accident the other day and the glass part of the passenger mirror popped out and broke on the ground. I just got my replacement glass from Amazon (I think the brand is Fit System or something). The rear tab is broke on the new part and the glass piece isn't anywhere near factory quality.

Where I can purchase an OEM replacement online? Just looking for the glass part. Also - is there a trick to snapping it back on? For some reason I cant get the top tabs to snap into place, even with the OEM broken mirror (when I tried to put it back on.

Passat (B7) :: Passenger Side Mirror Cap Exploded

Walked out to my car last night and my mirror cap was shattered in pieces on the ground, little textured plastic lip around the glass on the ground, and the glass hanging from the heat wires. I haven't looked at it too hard since it was dark and I had to work this morning, but it appears that the plastic lip and the glass are undamaged, however there may be damage to the clips. I have called around to some salvage yards and no one seems to have one in stock. What the cheapest way to get a clean, painted mirror on my door is? Mirror was destroyed, need new one.
