Prius (2010-12) :: Removal Of Wheel Covers
I always thought the wheel covers on my 2012 Prius IV were dorky but wasn't willing to spend to upgrade them. Then I got a flat tire, and you have to remove the wheel cover to take the wheel off. Wow, the naked wheel looks GREAT! Blackout metal with nice spokes. I had seen Prii with similar setups on the road and had assumed they were a customization or an upgrade.
The only problem is the lack of a center cap, which is really only apparent when looking at the wheel straight in from the center, which hardly done. So I pulled all four wheel covers off and stored them. Have others who have done this seen any negative consequences? Especially to not having a center cap?
Lexus LS 2007+ :: High Mounted Stop Lamp Removal On LS460
I have a blown LED on a 2007 LS460. Bought a set of the Stop Lamp and started to embark on my little DIY today.
Both side covers are held on by a little plastic hook underneath near the row of LED bulbs. Hence, you will have to press down firmly to unhook and slide the cover towards you and lift it up to remove. (watch my youtube link below).
The center piece is held on by 2 screws (nearer to the row of LEDs) and 2 plastic clips (nearer to the C-pillars). Remove the 2 thumb screws and the plastic clips (twist or turn them 90 degrees and they should come off easily). At this point, remember to unhook the plastic connector.
Replace the center Stop Lamp piece and install everything in reverse order.

Prius (Gen 3) :: Procedure Of Replacing Broken Daytime Running Light Lens?
What's the best way to find the information on changing a broken lens on a daytime running light led on a 2013 Prius 2? Can't find anything on YouTube. Would the owners manual have anything like that? The led still works but I'm afraid moisture will cause it to malfunction. Will I have to buy the whole led assembly?

Back in July of last year, I installed the OEM foglight kit and replaced the lightbulbs with a pair of yellow Luminics JDM 55w H11 bulbs.
A few months later when it would rain or snow, condensation began appearing on the inside of the foglight lens on both sides. It would burn off when I left the foglights on for a while, but would reappear shortly thereafter. The driver's side would generally stay clear most of the time but the passenger side would always have moisture on the inside.
Then, a few months ago, the driver's side bulb seemed to burn out. Today, when I took them apart to reinstall the clear lightbulbs, it turns out that fluid (it actually looked like windshield washer fluid) had gotten inside the connector and shorted it out, actually melting some of the plastic to the contact. It took a while, but I was able to scrape off enough of the plastic from the contact to get it to work with the JDM bulb again.

I picked up a 2014 F350 CC a couple months ago and have finally driven it in the evening. I went to turn on the first row map lamps and the light did not illuminate. I could turn it on with all of the interior lights, but not just a single map lamp. It also works when the door is opened or the RKE unlocks the truck.

My high mounted rear stop light and driver side real stop/tail light seems to be burned out. After checking manual, I found nothing mentioned about replacing 'high mounted rear stop light' at all. It's weird enough. From hmaservice.com, I found how to replace bulb, but, still could not find how to open that light box or package. And referring to 2005 model of Sonata, it says there are two nuts to be unscrew to open light box. However, I'm trying to find those nuts in my 06 Sonata.

So we are taking a short trip and my dad decides he would like to drive my new passat. That means I get kicked to the back seat as my wife will not give up her heated seat. It just started in the last few weeks. After powering down and opening the doors, the overhead lamps will intermittently flash on and off (in a fairly slow succession...i.e. 5-10 seconds between cycles). I thought the 3 settings were: Always on, on when door(s) is ajar OR always off. I have it set to the middle setting and this oddity has me stumped (maybe I need to revisit the manual).

I had to remove/repair my hood latch (cable broke) on my 2008. There is a 2-wire sensor or similar device mounted to the latch. what is its purpose? I broke the wires to it - yet see no evidence that any system ceased to work as a result. I want to make sure it isn't something critical.

1. Neither tail lamp lights
2. License plate light works
3. Front parking lights work
4. Both tail lamp bulbs are fine (visual and continuity both check)
5. No power at the bulb socket on either tail lamp
6. Tail lamp ground in both bulb sockets is fine
7. Fuse under dash is not blown
8. All brake lights work fine.
9. All other lights working.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Rear Running Light And Plate Lamps Out
Looking for a wiring diagram for my 2015 F-150? I have recently lost my running tail lights and licence plate lamps. Visually checked every fuse and found no problems there. I put in LED tail lights a couple weeks ago and they worked fine then noticed one day my tail lights weren't on when headlights were. Front running lights work fine. If I could get a diagram to start tracing wiring back that would be great.

Yesterday i noticed that the right rear brake light and high mounted brake light does not work when i press brake only the left one work, although the right tail light work well when parking light is turned on. Is it a matter of fuse or wiring cut.
