Prius (Gen 2) :: Reflection Of Dashboard Lights In Windshield?
There's an annoying reflection in the windshield of the dashboard lights at night. What have any of you done to get rid of it?

2014 RX 450h. So I drove the car for the first time today and am wondering why the reflection in the Rear View Mirror is so dark? I did finally find the buttons for the Anti-Glare function on the far right and didn't notice a difference in the daylight.

When I am driving and the sun is hitting the top of the dashboard, I get a reflection of the dashboard in my windshield. I have the gray interior, so it isn't terribly distracting. However, it would be really nice to tone it down some. The interior of my new Sonata is nice and I don't want something tacky. I have done some looking at dash mats on the web but I don't know how well they fit, how well they work, and if they would pass my tackiness test.

I have the '05 V8.
The crack seems to originate at the lower right corner of the rear view mirror assembly contact point and spreads out in four opposing directions including two to the top edge of the glass. I could find zero chips on the outside of the glass at the nexus point of the crack. I also did not get hit in the windshield while driving -- not that I noticed anyway.
We went to the opera at night drove it home and noticed no damage and parked in the garage. The next day I went to the garage and noticed the crack (the cracks are about 8 inches long or so). The garage was very hot.
Is it POSSIBLE, and are there any reports of this happening, that the heat or something else caused the rearview mirror assembly to torque and crack the windshield or am I dreaming that I can blame VW and I just must have missed the crack when I drove home and it happened some other way.
Prius (2010-12) :: Energy Display Is Blurry / Cloudy
I just bought a 2010 Prius V and noticed the energy display is blurry and cloudy. I've read some other thread with others experiencing this issue but didn't find a solution to the problem. It seem to be blurry on the inside part of the display, nothing that can be cleaned off from the outside.

After a rough winter here in NJ there are a ton of pot holes and I think I may have jolted loose the rear view mirror. It now shakes so bad I can't even look at it. It makes me dizzy. It seems like it is loose where it connects to the windshield, not where the actual mirror connects. I took off the smaller of the two covers but didn't see anything I could tighten. It also doesn't appear that the actual mirror comes apart. I have to point it away from me at night, it's like a strobe light!

My 2010 Prius Hybrid System Indicator suddenly becoming cloudy one day. Its inside the glass cover and I initially thought it was condensation, but it hasn't gone for several weeks.
I have the Toyota Extra Care Platinum extended warranty, so took my car to a Toyota dealer. They said it was due to some chemical reaction from something I used.
I found that ridiculous because I don't use any chemicals on my car, let alone myself but they didn't budge. I have to call Toyota & see what they have to say.

I brought my 2011 GS350 in today for the dealer to fix the rattling noise coming from the dashboard after 2.5 hrs of waiting the car was fixed and I drove it to work and the rattling was minimal but tonight after work it was really cold I drove the car home and the rattling noise seem like it coming from the dashboard area near the windshield and the noise was more noticeable than this morning right after i left the dealer.
I just bought the car on March 3, 2015 so far loving the ride but the rattling noise makes me worry. The car is still under factory warranty until March 29th 2015 I am hoping they can correct the problem before the warranty expires.What should I do next?
Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Squeak That Sounded Like A Bird Chirping Coming From Dashboard Windshield Area
For close to 6 months I drove around with a squeak that sounded like a bird chirping coming from my dashboard windshield area. I tried listening everywhere while driving and could never pinpoint the squeak that was driving me crazy. For whatever reason, I adjusted the rubber bumper stops for the hood and the chirp went away. I had to post this just in case there were others with the annoying squeak.

The sun seems to reflect from a lot of interior pieces, mainly the ALU piece to the right of the 2 storage drawers, and also the shifter surround ring. It is not just a little reflection, it blinds me at times and I have to look to the left, put something on top to cover it or close my eyes.

I live in Canada and a few months ago I purchased a used 2011 Prius III from a Dodge dealer in Arizona. Part of the Canadian RIV import requirements was to have daytime running lights installed in the car. I figured since I'd have Canadian Tire do it because they're also the ones doing the provincial and federal inspections. I can use the wheel to dim during the daytime but can only dim can't turn off the display like I can at night. I've tried turning the lights on and adjusting the wheel but still can turn off all the way.
I would like to turn it off and just use the HUD.
