How many miles can be driven after the computer tells you have zero miles left to empty? Or rather how many gallons do you think is left in the tank after the computer says you're empty?

I have a 2009 Prius (purchased in March of '09) - working just fine - 58.6 mpg.
Each time that I have gone to purchase gas, I have not pushed the reset button on the Consumption screen as I have wanted to keep a running average for mpg. However, the miles driven count since the last refill automatically goes back to 0 (again on the Consumption Screen) and then starts a new count. This is useful as I know how many miles I have driven since the last refill. Today, however, I purchased fuel and the count did not revert to 0. Has a sensor been damaged? Is there anything I can or should do? I know I could press the Reset button but that would be a last resort.

So maybe it is just my incompetence on this.... however, I was putting my second tank of gas in the 2016 and the Fuel Filler door will not shut...
Not only that but since the door will not shut, on my dash screen it keeps saying "Refill Ready" every 5-10 seconds.

My 2003 Sante Fe (3.5L) steering wheel twitches right and left when driving. On hot days its much less than colder days. The drivers side tire is worn on the inside much more than the outside of the tire. The brake rotor towards its outside is silver, perhaps half an inch. The rest of the rotor towards the inner hub has a little surface rust on it as though the pads are not fully grabbing. The car has 45,000 miles on it.

I've been having a curious issue with the engine in the Passat. When I put gas in the car, it generally is hard to start and stalls. This happens once or twice, and then the car runs great. Sometimes the check engine light will come on, but I haven't been able to read the codes. The mechanic said that the car was driveable. I am curious for potential causes and solutions?

Gas is expensive and the empty light wasn't on THAT long so I put off refilling until I had time to swing by a place that is a couple ten cents cheaper per gallon. When the time came to go refill, the car started fine and then sputtered and stalled a before I could turn my car around. Parked the car and in desperation pouted some gas from the lawnmower tank in hoping that it would get me down the street to put some gas in, but it still sputtered and stalled.
So then I got a ride to the gas station to get a few gallons of gas that I knew was made for a car, and funneled it in. The engine still starts fine, sputters for a few seconds and stalls completely off when I start it. I decided to leave it parked for the night and see how things are in the morning. I know nothing about cars and have never had unforseen problems that have forced me to be concerned with how little I know about my 2005 Mitsubishi Galant in particular. My question is: Is something more complicated wrong with my car now that I let it run out of gas entirely, or is this just something that happens after you put gas in a bottomed out tank? Or did I do my engine dirty putting whatever was in my landlord's lawnmower can in my tank?

I got home tonight and smelled coolant. Looked under the car, coolant everywhere. I see the issue: a big hose (maybe 2" in diameter) has a tear in it and is spraying out coolant. I'm going to replace it, but once I do, how should I add coolant back into the radiator? Do I just pour it into the overflow?

I lost a hose in the driver side front wheel well this morning while pulling RV to a campground. By the time I got there and got the RV disconnected, I lost all power steering. I reconnected the hose using a zip tie and have a friend bringing me fluid to refill reservoir.
Is my pump toast now? Can I refill the reservoir and prime the lines and be good to go?

I had my transmission fluid changed because it was leaking from the pan. I did the job myself but called VW to confirm how much fluid I needed. They told me the wrong amount but we realized that after we did the job.. they did the repair for a huge discount and I only paid $200 bucks for the work for them to "fix" what they messed up. Volkswagen did it and I got the car serviced at the end of April basically. now its the first week of July and under 90 days since the car was service and now it is shifting hard between 2nd and 3rd gear or 35 miles to 45 miles per hour. The car isn't throwing a transmission code I have a vag com and there is no code coming up on that.

My 2006 GS300 has oil burning issue after 80k miles now my odo is at 110k miles. I have changed my oil every 5000 miles, keep burning about 1 quart every 1k miles average. Literally burnt about 20 quarts of an oil with premium fuel. At 105k miles, I had replaced my bank 2 sensor 2 after the check engine light and vsc light came on, reset the code those lights came right back on.
Check the code again, found out bad cat converter between passenger side sensors. The recalls has been done at 65k miles at dealer. My questions are :
-What would be the cause of burning that much of an oil? No leaking on floor or bad smell.
-Is burnt oil causing the failure of cat converter?
-If I replace the cat, will it go bad again?
Prius V :: Bad Sway Bar After Less Than 100 Miles
I bought my v on Friday and drove it a lot over the weekend, so it has about 100 miles on it. It started knocking/rattling/creaking pretty badly with every bump on the way to work this morning, so I took it back to the dealer this afternoon. The dealership says it has a bad sway bar link causing the bar to pull to one side and rub/knock the frame. It sounds like before deciding it needed a new link the tech first pulled the bar back to center, drove it around the lot, and found it went right back to the side. That leaves me to believe the link at least wasn't obviously broken in half or disconnected or something.
I'm a bit concerned that such a basic part could go bad after just 100 miles. Could hitting a pothole be enough to damage it? I haven't hit anything substantial, but I got the car with about 20 miles on it, and the roads around the dealer aren't the best. If somebody busted it up in the first 20 miles, that doesn't bode well for the future, given Indiana winter roads. If it came bad from the factory, do I need to worry it's not the only thing rigged to fail? They didn't have the link in stock, so I'm stuck driving a camry loaner for at least a day.

Yesterday I measured the mpg going uphill.
It was 22.2 MPG going Uphill 4.7 Miles from elevation 50ft to elevation 1250 ft. It is more than 50% drop in the mileage.
Do other cars ( non-prius / non-hybrid ) too drop 50% mpg going uphill ?

My 2006 Prius started using oil at around 120,000 miles.
It currently has 140,000 and goes through a quart of oil in around 1,000 miles of driving.
