Lexus SC430 :: Left Side Mirror Motor Will Only Move Left And Right But Not Up And Down
My left side mirror, motor will move left and right but it will not move up and down. Is there a DIY way to fix this? Is it a motor problem? Can I buy the part and fix it?

When do you typically see your fuel light come on? I never need to let the tank run down very far but the other week I was curious about this. The fuel gauge was way less than 1/4 tank left and the range display was ~50kms. When I filled up shortly after it looked like there still would have been at least a gallon in the tank still.
Just feels weird because my last car (Camry) would throw the fuel light when you still had a full 1/4 left in the tank.
Lexus SC430 :: Random Knock On Front End When Going 5 To 10 Mph And Turning Steering To Left Or Right
I have just noticed a random knock on front end on 2002 430 sc when going 5 to 10 mph and turning steering wheel to left or right...sounds like metal to metal and shifting or movement knock ... turning left, sound on passenger side; turning right, sound on drivers side..brake system checked out ok; had struts, plates and insulators changed; checks were made on torques to all front suspension bolts and everything is tight and no movements in bushings and etc.. totally baffled and really an annoying sound......ball joints are tight and no movement.

I have a slight squeal from the left rear brake when in reverse. Doesn't do it all time and never when roads are wet. I disassembled the caliper and all looks good. I replaced the pads about a year ago and the noise just recently started, so its hard to blame that. I did not use the brake anti-noise lube......but I never have.

My friend with an 07 with about 109k miles on it now has started getting a "groaning" noise whenever the wheel is cut hard to the right or left, either sitting still or rolling. A local repair shop (not the dealer) checked it out and said there was some "stuff that needed to be lubricated". Not trusting this opinion he went to a Toyota dealer where he was getting new brake pads installed on all 4 corners (no Lexus dealer in the city where he lives), they diagnosed the car as needing 4 new struts and a new balljoint.
If in fact he does need the struts and balljoint, I am thinking chances are there will be a bunch more suspension stuff that should really be done at the same time when everything is apart anyway - perhaps bushings, endlinks, etc?
Is he better off sticking with the OEM strut replacements or should he go aftermarket? He's not looking to slam the car or anything, and is more of a ride comfort guy than handling enthusiast.

Assume that I open the valve on fuel rail with engine off, then connect pressure tester kit, put key in ignition to "on" position, then pump up to specified PSI???

However, after the light was on, I drove about 20 miles, then filled the tank, but only 14.5 Gallon was filled. Lexus SC430 :: Replacing Fog LED And DRL Light?
My stock DRL/high beam lights officially died this weekend on my 06+ SC430. One side works fine, the other only works in high beam. Since I have to get my car inspected, this won't pass. I know I need to drop the bumper as I did when I replaced the turn signal bulbs, but I'm confused about what bulbs I should be getting. Since I have to drop the bumper for the DRL lights, I figured I should change the fog lights since I'm there.
Is there an LED Fog light replacement you'd recommend from iJDMToy?
What bulb would you put in for the DRL? I do not want to go LED as I actually do use my brights. I would like a whiter color to better match the headlights, if this is possible.
Lexus SC430 :: Engine / VSC Light Came On
So I went on a little trip about 500 km away.. when i got there everything was normal.. next day while hanging with my buddies my Engine light, VSC and VSC OFF light came on.. I wasn't pushing the car or anything, driving normal and going around 120 to 135 kph on hwy there. Usually people would panic but in the past I have had cars that got these lights and usually its just a sensor.
I mean the car drives perfectly normal, i have driven it 900 km after the light, the temperature doesn't rise, there is no leaks anywhere, there is no smell, engine oil is all there, everything seems perfectly fine. I read a few threads referring to the oxygen sensor? I am thinking of getting that replaced.. how many are there that I would have to change? Also someone mentioned ABS sensor in another thread.. not sure what that has to do with the engine, i mean ABS has its own light right?

My Audi has always been at about 2 gallons or so, and usually around 30 miles left on the range meter. The Touareg seems to come on much earlier, around when there is 80 miles left on the range meter. Is the reserve on the Touareg much larger than the standard 2 gallon reserve? The VSC light came on at approximately 62000 miles. Took it too a mechanic who put it on computer, found gas cap loose, and reconnected hose under air filter however no code shows on the computer for a fix. The VSC light still remains on. Tried all the internet fixes; pulling fuse & disconnecting battery cable. The light goes out but as soon as I move the car it comes back on. Is there anything I can do to avoid a large dollar visit to the Lexus dealer since there are no driving or stopping symptoms with the car.
