Prius (2004-09) :: 2007 - Beep When Shutting Off Randomly
It's been my goal to get my car to run a 13 on the stock turbo for years. I got bored last night and decided to roll out to the track and finally did it. In the past I had tried just about everything, pulled the back seats out, ditched the spare, and hours of data logging timing trying to dial it in just right but never could. Of course last night I was running with a full interior, spare and even had a passenger with my timing still pulled back -2.25 deg from the summer heat, didnt even check my oil or air pressure and I pull this off

Any way to turn off that annoying beep that happens when you turn the car off but the lights are on? This also happens if the sunroof is open. I have the lights set to turn off after 30 seconds and they turn off when I double click the remote anyways. The sound drives me nuts.

I've found info on turning off the seat-belt warning beep, and changing the reversing beep to single by using the OBDII connector, but nothing on the CAN bus codes needed for the lock/unlock beeps.

2004 Prius. Sometimes, quite randomly, the headlights will turn off. Sometimes its both, sometimes its the left only, and sometimes its the right only. This affects both main and high beams. The dash lights and tail lights may still be on (panicking doesn't give me time to confirm that), but for sure the Nav panel is still lit.
The first time this happened was when I was driving on a mountain road at night in the rain. It now happens almost every night and I have confirmed that it also happens in daytime. Road conditions (bumpy/smooth, wet/dry, dark/well lit) do not seem to be a factor.
At least once while still in my garage, when I started the car the left light was out. I can get the lights to turn back on by turning them off all the way and then back on. Nothing else works. I have replaced the relay for the lights - that didn't change anything.

2003 Ford F150, 101,000 miles. While driving, the horn beeps twice, and so does the chirper (makes chipping sound). This is the same noise the truck makes when you reconnect the battery after changing it. Its been really cold lately, and seems to get worse when the road is bumpy.

I am very happy with my 2010 corolla, except for the annoying beeping. I live in a very quiet townhouse row and the cars are parked right in front of the houses. So, when I get up in the morning to get in the car, it beeps when I unlock it and on good weather days when the windows are open, there are at least 20 units that can hear it. It is very embarrassing. What is worse, randomly in the middle of the night, at 230 or 3am, it will beep five times quickly. My neighbors want to kill me! The engine light has been on for a few weeks because I am due for an oil change. Could it be related to that? And how do I turn this thing off?

After I have been driving and turn the engine off there is one 'Beep' sound and the light above the left visor turns on. The only thing that will turn the light off is if I put the visor back up. It stays on in all other positions. Opening the little mirror window on the visor does neither turn on or turn off the light. Every time I speed up or slow down my ABS, TC and parking brake lights turn on and my car beeps at me. I'm assuming that I have a wheel speed sensor going out. But when I check the codes there is nothing and the check engine light never turns on, so how do you tell which one to replace? Or is my problem something different? I drive a 1999.5 vr6 Jetta.
