Passat (B7) :: Beep Sound After Clutch Has Been Released
It happened again this morning while putting the tranny into reverse and backing into my slanted/graded driveway about 60'. After the clutch has been released all of the way, a BEEP...BEEP...BEEP. aural sound comes from either the engine bay or under the dash. It's not happening when driving out fresh in the morning. It only occurred when I was backing up and on a grade. First, I had thought that it was my clutch telling me - Or, maybe it was the Hill Assist actuator in conflict when the car is actually moving. No smoke or burning coming from underneath nor any idiot lights flashing on the Dash.
I left a message for the Service Manager at the VW Dealer that I purchased the car from. I haven't heard back yet if he has ever heard of or witnessed this freak of nature event. Today was the second time in a week that this "Anomaly" has occurred.

Wifes car began to idle very rough and check engine light began to blink and beep, I took it to the mechanic today and he informed me that my control module was no good and it was a $400 dollar piece. I said go ahead get it done, cuz she needs the car and i couldn't afford to not have it done immediately. My car seems to randomly beep when I turn it off. Yes, I noticed it does it if I leave my lights on. It also does it sometimes when my door is open. But not always. The beep is constant until I shut the door. Is there some trick because sometimes I do not hear beeping at all even when I open the door. Do I have to press the button before I open the door or vice versa? My car really does seem to have a mind of it's own with these beeps that are driving me insane.

Today I noticed that the "click" sound on my turn signals was gone. I had someone watch the front and rear signals and none of them lit up if the clicking/dash light didn't either. Sometimes it would come on for 2-3 clicks, then stop. I could sorta force the issue by flipping the level back and forth, but it only worked for about half of the times I flipped the lever.
I tried the hazard switch. In this situation, the lights stay on (blinking), but they have an irregular cadence, like a heart murmur (just in signal form!). Click-a, click-a, cli-cli-cli-cka...etc.
Passat (B5) :: Screeching Sound When Turn Steering Wheel
I've noticed a couple times when I turn on my car with it just sitting there if i turn the steering wheel all the way to one direction i get some sort of screeching sound coming from the driver side front wheel area what could it be and if i were to turn it the other way all the way too. I'll get the sound too what could this be.

The other day this started and hasnt quit. I was driving to work and after i used my turn signal and everything worked correctly and as it shoud except for the noise. We have an '07 wagon that recently started exhibiting the following: When doing a sharp turn left or right you can hear a rotational shhhhusshhhing sound... shussshhh *pause* shusshhh *pause*.. etc. Its obviously linked to the front wheels since going straight does not produce the sound. Brakes and rotors have 13k on them; dealer has checked out the car and says everything looks good and the bearings are fine.
Could this be CV joints or something similar? Where to look? This is not a thud thud thud (which I have heard before when another car of ours needed new cv joints). Safety is main concern, don't want bearings freezing while driving..

just got a 2010 Prius (Australian base model), and looking for information on how to turn off the beeps when locking/unlocking the doors. I've found info on turning off the seat-belt warning beep, and changing the reversing beep to single by using the OBDII connector, but nothing on the CAN bus codes needed for the lock/unlock beeps.

I got my GTI exactly one week ago. I brought it to the car wash today. When I got home and hit the lock with the remote, the car did not make the "beep" sound with the horn. I unlocked it and checked all the doors and the hatch to be sure they were properly closed, and they were. Then, I hit the lock from the remote and the doors locked, but no "beep".
