Golf/GTI VI :: Do Wiper Blades Twitch When Turning Car On Or Off?
Mine do. Its really weird especially if I haven't been using the wipers at all and I arrive somewhere, shut the car off, and the wiper blades twitch. Just curious to see if this is normal.

Having issue with these wiper blades? My wife's touareg has less than 15k, but the wiper blades are streaking and otherwise less than useless. I have had the same wiper blades on my jetta for over 2 years with no issue. I have tried cleaning the wipers several times, but to no avail. Before I shell out $60+ on some wiper blades. I know I am gonna probably gonna have to get the new wipers.

I am on my 3rd set of wiper blades trying to get rid of the skipping motion. I did not notice this problem with original. I bought one set at Autozone that skipped, went back and bought an expensive pair of blades, they skipped.
I bought the best wipers t, they skipped.
I just went to the dealer and got a pair of blades, they skip just as bad as all the others I've tried.
I have tried cleaning the windshield, This last time I used clay bar on the windshield but that made it worst. It would skip after each swipe after I used clay bar.
The last thing I done was use some waterless wash on windshield that has it temporally stopped skipping. The wipers run smooth so there is not a problem with any jerking or motion or anything like that.
I have 115K on 2011 Prius, not had a minute trouble out of it except for this skipping. I also have about 65K mile on this set of Michelin Energy saver A/S tires, they will go another 10K. I'm averaging 51 mpg Summer and Winter.
Prius (2004-09) :: Wiper Blades Skip Across The Surface And Noisy
Since when I bought the car (used) if the windshield isn't really wet, the wiper blades skip across the surface of the windshield and make a lot of noise. This occurred before and after I replaced just the wiper rubber.

1971 cadillac wiper control lever will not turn on the wiper blades at any speed selected on the control lever but if you push forward on the chrome button on the lever the washer and intermittent wiper blades will work.

After I changed to blade on the left wiper of my 2005 GC the blades hang up at the bottom of the return stroke. This pulls the end of the rubber from the holder on the end of the blade. Wrecks the blade and requires a new one. Happens with new blades so it must be the arm. I may have bent the arm a bit the first time I replaced the blade. Could this be the cause. Need a new arm?

I just took in my 2007 RX350 to the Lexus dealer for a "once over" as I recently purchased it, as well as a squeak that was coming from the passenger side wiper blades.
After several replacements (including the high end Rainx and Michelin from Home Depot) the squeak would not go away.
Lexus indicated that the "aftermarket" blades were causing the problem and I needed Lexus blades.
I pushed back as they were about $120 for both, but, much to my surprise no squeak.
Not sure what the OEM blades are and I guess I could have researched it more, but, was at my witts end with the squeak.
Anyway, that fixed the problem.
Phaeton :: 2004 - Radio Will Come On Randomly And Cannot Be Controlled
I have a 2004 V8 phaeton that has a radio and electronics that now have a mind of their own. The radio will come on randomly and can not be controlled. The main computer screen will sometimes not come on. On the screen in the instrument cluster it jumps between degrees F and C. I have replaced both batteries, done a static discharge and taken it to the dealer to have all of the codes cleared... Later that day it all came back... So I went to the dealer and they cleared the codes again. It is back again.

When I turn off the wiper blades on my 1997 Toyota Camry they do not return to the home or lowest position. They stop at whatever spot they happen to be. The wipers work OK on both slow speed and fast speed. Also the intermittent function is no longer working. In this position the wiper blades operate cintinually in the slow speed. What could be the causing this problem? Could it be the wiper switch on the steering column, the wiper motor, or some other component such as a fuse or relay?

I've been thinking about leaving the wipers in "service" position overnight when it's snowing or freezing rain. I'm wondering if I can go and start the engine and get the defroster going - or - will the wipers try to go back to their "parked" position as soon as I turn on the ignition? I was filling my wiper fluid reservoir and could not fill it to the top. After going throiugh a full bottle of fluid, I noticed it was spilling from underneath the car. I assumed it was an overflow, but later realized that this would make no sense as windshield fluid doesn't freeze, at least not for most of the world, and needs nowhere to expand to.
Now I have to start pulling pieces off the car to see if the tank is broken. I'm guessing I'll need a service manual to find the best way to get to it. If it is broken, how the heck would it have happened? I've only had the car for a few months, so I don't know its history. No accidents though.
Phaeton :: 2004 - Passenger Side Wiper Motor Does Not Work
I have an O4 Phaeton here - the passenger wiper motor doesn't work.. After removing unit - verifying mechanical operation I've found that it's function just fine. However there is no power to connector. When wipers are running I supplied power with power probe and wiper operates just fine.
Cant find location and # for what I presume is a bad fuse. I looked for fuse diagrams all over and cant find one.
Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: Vacuum Controlled 4x4 Not Working
I'm working on a 03 Lariat F150 with vac. controlled 4x4 (I'm new to this one). Transfer case works, ft drive shaft turns, but the front axle wont engage. The servo works, and the linkage is tight on the shaft, and the shaft turns back and forth, and the ft axle can be engage manually by working the small lever back and forth with the servo disconnected, but when zip-tied in place it doesn't stay in 4x4, so something is broken, worn out, or disconnected inside the housing.
Also I repositioned the servo back a bit with a spacer to make sure it wasn't a length of travel issue, and is not - the problem is definitely inside - the linkage feels sloppy when manipulated with the servo off.
Since Ive never had one of these apart I thought Id ask first (also a new thing for me), so I'd know what parts to get (I don't live "in town"), and I figger this isn't the first one of these to break. So I am sitting down - what am I in for??? It looks pretty straight forward, but somehow I doubt it is...

Using separate switch to power the the fogs? I know the stalk method is better but 1100$ seems steep. If so, what kind of switch the looks of is oem?

All the electrical components that are controlled by the ignition key/switch (radio, power windows, wipers, AC/fan) sometimes don't work when I turn the van on. However, when the key is turned back into accessories position, everything works - never a problem then. I had the ignition switch replaced a few months ago and that seemed to work (didn't occur as often) but now it's back to the way it was before. Just about every time I need the wipers (when it rains), they don't work nor do any of the other things I mentioned previously.
