Santa FE SM (2001-06) :: Disable Alarm Without Disabling Horn / Locks?

Since my warranty has expired, I have had a problem with my alarm regularly firing after ~10 mins of the car being locked, regardless of whether I engage the alarm or just simply lock the car. I have brought the car to a dealer to troubleshoot multiple times and they can't figure out the issue. Is there a way to disable the alarm so I can still lock the car? Currently, my only workaround is to leave the car unlocked all the time.

Passat (B5) :: Alarm Chirping Every Two Or Three Minutes Usually At Night

My passat has an alarm that will begin chirping every two or three minutes usually in the middle of the night and parked under my bedroom. I unlock doors with keyless remote and the doors will relock themselves after about a minute sometimes immediately. The only way to get this chirping to stop is to open the door of the car, sets off alarm and then lock system with the key. If I try to open the windows with the key the windows will only go down a inch or so and the locks will engage.

This will also happen when I do not lock the vehicle and set the alarm. I am willing to disengage the chirping entirely as I am not an alarm fan, especially now at 3AM resetting my car alarm. Typically this happens after the vehicle has been parked for 4-5 hours. If this system is pneumatic could there be a leak?

Passat (B5) :: Chirping Sound From Rear Passenger Wheel Well

The chirping sound happens when I go over bumps but not all the time. If I take a short little ride to the store at low speeds it won't happen but as soon as I get driving in the city or on the highway it sounds like a bird on crack back there, really loud as I go over any type of bumps. I searched and learned that it could be the wheel rubbing the caliper but its not that. There is nothing leaking back there and no visible signs of damage or wear. Brakes have plenty of pad left and rotor is good, i check the tire well also and everything is tight.

Passat (B5) :: Ceramic Brakes - Squeaking / Screaming And Chirping Continually

I have a VW Passat 2003. I had my front and rear brake pads replaced (and rotors sanded) 4 months ago at Merchant's. They used ceramic brakes b/c they were the recommended manufacturer part. Because the brakes are ceramic, I expected a little squeaking, and at first there was; just a short squeak that sounded like a flute, and it only happened when I turned my wheel to the right. Now the brakes squeak, scream and chirp continually. They squeak sometimes when I stop, like some brakes do when they're going bad.

While I'm driving (at 35-50mph), they scream like a kettle: a very high-pitched continuous noise. When I push the brakes or turn the wheel a certain way, the noise stops. The same happens with the chirping noise. I don't know when the noises started b/c I usually only hear it when my windows are down. I took my car back to Merchant's to have them check and they didn't find anything wrong; they just lubricated the brake pads, but that didn't work. Could there be something wrong with my brakes or is this normal for ceramic brakes?

Passat (B7) :: Sticky Gas Pedal / Tires Chirping When Turn From A Stoplight

2014 SEL V6. My mother bought a Passat last year at my urging and has just told me about an issue she's had since she brought it home. Her throttle is sticky in the very beginning of its travel. Meaning that whenever she starts off, she has to give it a decent shove to get into the 98% of pedal travel that people usually use. Usually this means that she's chirping he tires every time she makes a turn from a stoplight, and gets her head thrown back taking off in a straight line.

Passat (B5) :: 2003 - Chirping Sound Under The Hood That Gets Louder When Accelerate

I have a 03 passat with a 1.8t with 126k on it. I just bought the car last week and ever since i got it it has issues i cant figure out

On cold starts its makes a chirping sound under the hood that gets louder as you accelerate but goes away after motor warms up. The sound is similar to a loose or bad fan belt. But the noise is coming from the back passenger side of the engine when you listen under the hood.

Car also has no power. Had a good pull when i test drove the vehicle but now its a dog. It seems like its running on three cylinders or the turbo aint even working

Car is a 5 speed and its a struggle to put the car into first gear but every other gear is smooth. To get it in first you gota be stopped, put it in second then to first and you gota push the shifter left till you feel it pop in gear. Also have to hold it in 1st or it will sometimes pop out...

Passat (B5) :: How To Disable The Brake Pad Sensor

My brake pad sensor keeps returning false positives (ie, always telling me my front pads are low). I do all my own brake work and I know the pads are fine (I checked just to be sure).

Considering the car always goes in for scheduled maintenance and I usually eyeball them anyway, I'm comfortable not relying on the pad warning system and would like to disable it. Is it as simple as just disconnecting the sensors and tucking away the wires, or is there more to it than that?

I know the sensors work on the "completing the circuit" principle, but I'm not sure if just disconnecting them will report a different fault. There's not a specific fuse that controls the sensors, is there?
