I have a full size factory spare tire in the trunk and my TPMS is constantly saying the tire is flat or whatever, of course it's not, and of course I've set the correct tire pressure and of course I've recalibrated the system to no avail. I get an exclamation point on the screen for that tire only.
I want to disable monitoring of that tire ONLY. It does me no good since I have aftermarket rims/tires anyway so a flat means bad news for me right now. I don't need to have that spare monitored until I get an aftermarket 5 rim (which probably won't fit in that space anyway.

My cluster went on the fritz and i bought a used one off ebay. (caused dome light to randomly come on and off as well as same thing with the brake light). Any ways I did some research and searching for compatibility in swapping clusters, my truck is an 06 f150 5.4 chrome package. The cluster I bought was from 07-08 but the look identical. Anyways I hook it up and everything works fine, all gauges warning lights everything. The only problem is that i have a tire pressure light on that flashes and stays steady.
My 06 wasn't even equipt with the tpms system, not sure how it even has power for the indicator light now. I know from what i been reading that its "illegal" / dealer wont turn it off, but for me its really doing no good just an annoyance since I don't have tpms. My question is is there a way on the cluster i can make it go out, i realize there is no bulb for the warning lights like in older vehicles or maybe a wire that feeds to it? Or possibly something i can do to the circuit board to make it stop? Looking for a cluster schematic?

Today I spent an eventful day at the dealership getting oil changes on my IS300 and my GS430. After leaving with my gs430, my Tpms light came on. So I went back to the dealer and they ran a check to confirm it is the Tpms. My service guy didn't tell me which tire went out but I'm planning on getting rims in a couple of months. I keep losing pressure in my left front tire. I've filled this tire about 5 times in the past 3 months compared to just once (the first time) in the other 4 tires (3 plus spare.) Dealer is trying to sell me on nitrogen and says that this is a common issue with air and TPMS but everything is normal, but I know it isn't. If it was then I'd have to refill the other tires too, but I only have to refill just this one.

So I'm one of the lucky few that ended up in the middle of the arctic blast that nailed the US. My wonderful Passat though seemed largely unscathed as I never had any trouble starting it, no rough idle, and no transmission slips or stutters. I did however feel the issue of the TPMS light.
First day when it registered -14F on the dash the light was on (and MFD says "Tire Pressure Too Low"). I quickly hopped out and grabbed my gauge and checked the tires. Fronts were at 28lbs and backs were between 30 & 32lbs (exactly what I have them normally set at), so I figured that the sensors just got frozen and went on with my day.
Now the weather has warmed up (about 40F) and the damn light is still on... I've checked the pressure's again and everything's about the same (within 2lbs). Is this normal for these things to be this temperamental? I'd love to just do the TPMS delete.

Passat (B6) :: 2009 - TPMS Light Won't Go Off
09 Passat, 19xxx miles
Got in the car and the light came on along with "TIRE PRESSURE TOO LOW", so I went to the gas station and it's got a very NICE air machine. You dial in the PSI (in my case 33 according to door sticker) and it beeps when you've reached the specificed air pressure.
All 4 tires look good and I can't see any visible nails. I've drive about 60 miles on it after I aired them back up with no visible loss in pressure.
Running the OEM ContiSports and OEM "Fat 5" wheels. I haven't modified a thing on the car.
I looked in the manual and it was like "go to an authorized VW shop" and I'm like. What do I do to get the light to go off AND to know which tire was low.
