Passat (B5) :: Radio Working Intermittently After Water Leak And Wipers Stopped Working
The rubber (insulator?) around the antenna mast was seriously compromised, I noticed, when it was removed for a car wash (an infrequent occurrence). The radio worked occasionally after that.
Then I had a minor water leak through the vent system due to a blocked drainage lip on the particulate filter. The floor was soaked, causing the alarm to go off without warning (now dried and working correctly), but the radio stopped altogether if i remember correctly.
Then the wipers stopped working when it rained (they worked when dry). Replaced the wiper motor, and lo and behold, the radio works again sometimes - when it's dry out. obviously, i need to replace the antenna mast. Will this correct it?

So I am pretty lucky that we have had warm weather in SoCal this past week as my windshield wipers suddenly stopped working. Checked the fuses, car alarm arms fine (so no hood up problem), and back wiper works. A call to VW says that my car isn't included in the wiper recall. So, I figured I would check here before taking the car to the shop.

Passat (B6) :: Wipers Quit Working - Codes 02071 And 00153
My wipers stopped working. They quit working and then they worked one day and haven't worked since. I've got codes 02071 and 00153 in my cent electronics module. I'm trying to cover the easy/cheap options first. I've checked the f31 and f22(was empty) under the hood and all seems well. Are there any relays or anything else I could check? Also, I realize there's a TSB regarding the wipers but would it apply out of warranty?

My sister was driving her Passat the other day and the AC stoped blowing, the cigar lighter quit working, heated seats & rear wipers dont work. I checked the fuses and they look good.

I have a 97 chevy s10 4.3. Did a complete new ac system installation. Install new ac pump and put oil in holes, new condensor, new accumulator, new evap core, orifice tube, ac hoses. Did a vacuum for a couple of min it went to -28 closed the manifold gauges and turned off vacuum pump..waiting 30mins it held -28. Next added freon and put about 3 cans of freon. System took freon starting cooling fine. Ran truck for about two hours then heard some noises near glove box then ac started losing its cool slowly. Did i over charge? not enough oil in compressor? Did i damage compressor? How can i check compressor before i buy another..

About a week ago I turned on the Climatronic a/c in my 99.5 GTI for the first time since I bought the car. Everything worked fine until a bug splattered my windshield. I sprayed washer fluid and the wiper moved extremely slowly to the halfway point and then stopped. The wipers have always moved slowly since I got it about 6 or 7k km ago but have never become stuck. I turned off the a/c and let the car sit for a while turned off. When I turned it on again, the wipers worked fine but the were noticeably slower then before.
Cut to a few days later, I turn on the wipers to test it out and it gets stuck again, this time about 3 inches from the bottom. I can hear them clicking as if they are restarting the cycle, but it only twitches.
Cut to now, the wipers try to move every time I turn the key to ACC, as well as twitching when the car starts. When I start driving, after approx. 2 minutes my ABS light comes on and doesn't go away until I shut off the car.
I have provided a video. This is my only car and there's rain coming up in the forecast ...

I have an 2007 v8 in campy white..barely 10k miles on it only one issue my wipers stopped working twice..both times a loose nut fixed by the dealer..while washing the other day i noticed minor scratches behind the door handle on the outside.

I have had lots of work done trying to fix this dangerous problem of the wipers malfunctioning or not working at all. No one can figure out why the wipers work perfectly whenever I get to the shop..but sometimes quit or won't start or work at the wrong speed when I need them, in the rain. I have had the multifunction switch replaced, the error codes shown nothing wrong..they want to replace the body control module, plus programming etc... but won't guarantee it will work.
I am thinking of having an "override switch" installed that goes directly to the wiper motor, so I can turn them on whenever they quit functioning normally. I am worried that unless the existing wiring that goes to the control module...is unattached, when the over ride switch is used...that it could send a stray voltage back to the module and disrupt or damage it... Maybe I should trade the truck off...but it only has 50K miles and runs beautifully and rides even better, plus I really like it. Dodge - 1500 - SLT ....

Basically when I was installing the interior LED's and I had the Map lights working and as soon as I tried to replace the Dome light my map lights, my Map lights lost power including my OEM alarm failed to work again. We have a 2007 toyota camry 2.4l which had a engine problem so car needed a rebuilt engine. so we went to auto repair shop and they installed a rebuilt engine.But when we went to pickup the car the owner of the shop said our a/c is not working and he doesn't know why. he said its a/c compressor clutch is not working. the a/c was working fine before the engine installation. when I talk to other people (different mechanics) they all say that the repair shop who installed the engine caused the a/c problem. How can I prove that so I maybe can sue the guy in a small claims court? for a good gesture the owner of the shop offered us free labor on installation of a/c compressor but not on part which I can bring my own. I need detail argument. people say that in order to win in a small claims court we need many supporting explanation from experts. we just want the a/c to work again. car drives fine after new rebuilt engine.

My front wipers have quit and have seen a similar thread a while ago indicating that this is something others have encountered. This happened once before about a month ago, and they started up again a few days later. So I don't think it is the motor. The back ones work, the fluid works, but no fronts.

Ever since passing on an opportunity to trade in our 07 Santa fe for something new, and deciding to keep this car until the end, we have come across a few electrical issues.
The highest speed setting on the windshield wipers have stopped working. The wipers just freeze. The drivers door lock no longer auto locks when you hit the lock button on the way out of the car.

So I posted a while back about fixing all the leaks I had and what I was going to do. I finally completed all the repairs and reinstalled the engine and it won't start. Cranked a bunch and checked oil level in hpop its good so I pulled plugs in oil rails there is oil present there, cracked the yellow valve on fuel bowel there is fuel there. unplugged the icp sensor and cranked more still no indication of wanting to start.

I dropped off my 2015 RX450h at the dealership yesterday because the rain sensing wipers no longer sensed rain. Late in the afternoon the service writer called and told me that they ordered a new windshield because the sensor is part of the windshield?
Sounds strange. I've heard that some aftermarket windshields were interfering with sensor's ability to sense but never an OEM windshield.
