Passat (B6) :: Does Oil-Filter Has Expired Date
Has a question about the oil filter titled above and detailed as follows:
On Sep. 28,2010,I went an official repair shop to change the engine oil for my Passat B6. At the mean time, I also replace the oilfilter by a new one and on the package of the new one,it printed "Expired Date: 08 APR 2010".I wanna know does the oilfilter really have an expired date?What will it happen if I use an expired oilfilter?
Passat (B6) :: Engine MIL Came On For Two Days
And it went off this morning. Service technician says it might be that the fuel cap became dirty and the light came on because of pressure in gas tank. Have the cap cleaned.

I have a 2005 passat 1.8T non 4-motion and the check engine light turns on with no noticeable performance loss or idle fluctuation then will turn off in 3-4 days only to turn back on in another 3-4 days. My guess is something with the fuel, or moisture in the tank or even a stupid gas cap problem but im just shooting my question out there hoping another passat driver has experienced this same ridiculous problem.

View 2 RepliesPassat (B6) :: CEL Lasted Only Three Days - Intake Manifold Runner Control Failure
Well, I had a check engine light that lasted only three days then it cleared itself without any intervention. I checked it with a vag-com and I discovered there was an issue with the intake manifold control. I ended up bringing it to the dealer since it is a fairly new passat, and the service department informed me that the Intake Manifold Runner Control needed to be replaced.
Below were the fault codes.

P3137 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent

I have a 2004 Camry LE with 126,000 Miles , on the past couple of oil changes I have noticing when I look at the oil level on my Oil change 3000 Date due , I see it is at the lowest oil level mark which means it needs at least 3 qts. This was not the case before . I have tried Lucas engine oil. I am positive no drips or leaks coming out from the engine as ground is always clean and my mechanic told me he is not noticing any leakage at from the bottom .

I have a 2002 Avalon XLS with 160K. I recently had the clock spring replaced by a friend, which fixed what it was supposed to fix - airbag light went off, cruise works, horn works. He did disconnect the battery when he did the work.
Whenever I turn off the car, and turn it back on, the time and date have resent to default, and I lose all the radio settings like stations, bass, treble, etc.
I have to admit I'm not sure if the current problem started RIGHT after the clock spring work, or a bit later. I'm thinking I would have noticed it right away. But I know the time/date and radio settings did work right before.
I've scoured the internet and can't find an actual answer - a lot of "could be". My hope is that the "secondary, memory" power fuse is blown.
Sonata I45 (LF 2015+) :: Date / Time Display Across Navigation Unit Clock
My '15 sonata Limited w/ Tech package has been having some issues appear with the clock on the Navigation unit.
A few weeks back, I noticed that the Date/time display across the top of the navigation screen was showing May 28. When I dug down into the clock settings, it was pulling the date May 28, year 2035 from the GPS signal. Each day it would increment to the next day.
Then last week, the date and time would not load across the screen at all. Only the normal blue bar appears across the screen without any text or numbers.
With the Daylight Savings time change over the weekend, I tried to change the time on the LCD clock in the middle of the dashboard, the clock settings are grayed out and I can not change anything.
I already hit the reset button next to the knob on the dash, and also pulled the 15A fuse but neither one worked to reset anything.

I have a 2009 Prius, and lately we've been having days of 95+ degrees (F). I turn the AC on Auto & set it at something like 74, but it'll just be blasting out full for my entire 20 minute drive home. By the time I get home it's started to cool down. If the temperature outside is in the 80s it seems to do fine, but at about 95+ it can never keep up.
I took it to the Toyota dealership, but they keep telling me there's nothing wrong with it. My wife has a newer Toyota (non-Prius, non-hybrid) and on the same days her ac is cool within a minute or so. Is this a common issue with all Prius cars? Or is there something not right, and I need to somehow convince the dealership of this?

So I needed to have my clutch and slave cylinder replace on my 2000 Hyundai Tiboron about a month ago, and now I've noticed that in warmer weather the car totally loses acceleration. I took it back to the mechanic who had done the clutch work, but of course he couldn't reproduce the problem. Yesterday afternoon when it was 80+ degrees I saw the problem again, where I could push down on the accelerator and the RPMs would jump from 2.8k to about 3.8k and very little power would be transferred and very little acceleration. I then checked the car this morning while it was cool outside, and even after driving 30 miles to work over a mountain, the car had proper acceleration. So what might be causing the lose of power?

2002 F250,heavy duty. Problem, AC cools while driving at night or even on a cloudy day but on a hot sunny day you have to run on max and even then will not cool cab. I had gas checked they said it was good to go. I bought this truck new and the ac has always been weak in my opinion. I took it to dealer the first summer I owned it everything checked out ok. What the problem might be?

Had an interesting problem with my 2006 Camry (134k miles - all maintenance up to date). After returning from trip, I went to start my 2006 Camry LE and it turned over but never started. After a couple more tries, I stepped on the accelerator while turning the key and it finally started. It's starting and running fine now but that is the first time that has ever happened. I just had my 90K service done, drove my '04 prius home and parked it for 2 days.
I tried to open the door like I always do (no remote key, just touching the handle) and the car would not unlock.
When I got into the car the GPS screen did not come up, the Info screen and energy consumption screens are also not working.
Before I took the car in for service everything worked fine.
I'm contending that the service people jostled something they should have just jiggled, or possibly jangled something they should have jingled.
