Yaris/Scion & Vitz :: Fuel Gauge Begins To Blink When Last (lowest) Level Indicator Box?

Yaris 2006 Fuel Gauge. How much fuel is in the tank begins to blink when the last (lowest) level indicator box? According to the manufacturer's technical data for the reservoir has a volume of 42 l so that, if the indicator is divided into eight levels, should mean that at the start blinking in a tank remaining 42/8 = 5.25 l. Checked this? And how much is left when you start "blinking faster"?

Statement of kilometers that still can not get the remaining fuel in the tank, at least for me, unreliable and virtually useless - probably was chosen because of those who drive hundreds of miles, with nearly constant spending on long highway tours. And to me it happens about once a year. The data in the display are obviously obtained by dividing the remaining amount of fuel consumption average. It would be more useful to Yaris, you already know that the remaining amount of fuel, the display and print it over to my calculations, I knew I would Ceme - by his calculations, we are rarely used.

Perhaps the simplest way to what the Yaris is calculated back to that from which it started and get what we are interested in:

For example. If the display says that the average consumption of 5 l/100km and that the available fuel may even exceed 150 km should mean that the left in the tank for 5/100 x 150 = 7.5 liters.

It seems to me that this sentence correct, I see no other way he could predict how many kilometers could go with the remaining fuel.

Camry :: 1997 Toyota - Wiper Blades Do Not Return To Home Or Lowest Position When Turned Off

When I turn off the wiper blades on my 1997 Toyota Camry they do not return to the home or lowest position. They stop at whatever spot they happen to be. The wipers work OK on both slow speed and fast speed. Also the intermittent function is no longer working. In this position the wiper blades operate cintinually in the slow speed. What could be the causing this problem? Could it be the wiper switch on the steering column, the wiper motor, or some other component such as a fuse or relay?

Camry 2012+ :: Burn Mark On Both Fog Lights With HIDs

HID's in your fog lights, any burn marks or anything of that sort. I have had HID's in my fogs for 7months or so and last week I stared noticing a burn mark on both fog lights. Now I do have film on the housing so I first thought that maybe it was the film burning up and not the fog lens. I'm asking because I can have my film replaced for free, I just have to send in some photos to prove it. But before I do that I wanted to make sure that it was the film that got burned 100% and not the fog light lens in case I needed that replaced also. I kinda don't want to take off the film just to see if its the lens or film.

Camry :: At What Mark Dipstick Represents Overfilled Tank?

A friend of mine who also owns a 4 cylinder 2000 Camry just recently changed the oil and oil filter in his car is fretting that he overfilled with new oil because he discovered he surpassed the full line on the dipstick by 3/16 of an inch. I told him the 3/16 of an inch past the full mark is not going to make his engine blow up and to not worry about it. But being extremely anal about these kinds of things he is insistent that he remove that 3/16 of an inch of extra oil.

Another of our friends (who is a certified mechanic) of many years told him that cars are somewhat designed to be idiot proof and going slightly past the full mark is not going to destroy the engine.

Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Oil Level Slightly High After Change

2014 F150 3.5 Ecoboost...

I recently got my oil changed at the dealership and yesterday when I did my periodic oil check, I noticed that the oil level is slightly higher than the "high" mark on the dipstick. Its about 4mm above the high line, maybe 5mm at most. I do not smell gas in the oil, and given that its been about a month since the change, I simply think that slightly too much oil was added.

My question is will a slight overfill like that affect this engine? I'm particularly worried about "frothing" of the oil by the crankshaft. I don't think that oil level is nowhere near to be "pushed" by pistons and affect my seals. Correct me if I'm wrong here. I drive on very flat terrain. So the question to those that have knowledge on how much clearance there is between the crankshaft and oil level in that engine is, do I leave as is or go back to the dealer to adjust. (Reason I ask is because I'm particularly busy with a project at work, and if I don't have to burn time to correct this I would rather not given my busy schedule.)

Camry :: 1989 - Fuel Gauge Pointer Doesn't Go Completely Into F Mark When Gas Tank Filled

I drive a 1989 Toyota Camry LE with a V6 Engine. When I fill my gas tank, start the car, the fuel gauge pointer doesn't go completely into the "F" mark, see picture; I'll even wait after driving a few miles if the pointer will try to go past the "F" mark, but it won't. Could it be the gauge be faulty or the sending unit in the gas tank that's causing the gauge to read inaccurately?

Camry :: 2008 V6 - Cannot See Oil Level

2008 V6 Camry - Read quite a few threads about people not being able to see their oil level. It isn't the usual problem where sanding the dipstick or paper towels or painting it or turning it or better lighting will give me the mark because I have the opposite problem - I can see too much oil showing for some inches above the full level. The oil is coming from the dipstick tube so I cant tell where the true level is.

The car is cold and level. Tried making the dipstick really clean with hot dish detergent, and also tried making it a bit sticky with vicks - nope. Occasionally I can see a small hole in the oil about an eighth above the full line - so I reckon that is the true level. I changed the oil myself so I know it hasn't got 2 gallons in there. Driven it 2k at speed since the oil change and it is perfect.

But is there a better way to make sure that oil in the tube does not get on the dipstick causing the dipstick to show 3 inches overfull ?
