View 5 RepliesCorolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: 2010 Factory XM Radio Module - No Signal
We have the basic stock CD / radio model number A518A1 and the XM Radio module with the fit kit installed in the passenger side wheel well in the trunk in a 2010 Corolla S.
Installation of the XM Radio & fit kit was dead simple and we're using the built-in OEM antenna on the roof of the car.
The problem we're having is the dreaded NO SIGNAL message when trying to listen to XM Radio.
I have the Lynx portable XM Radio installed in my car and when both cars are in the driveway, I can get the signal all day long and in her car she gets the NO SIGNAL message.
We've already called XM Radio and had the signal resent to the radio numerous times with no success.
I've gone to our Toyota dealer and the only thing they can recommend is to replace the OEM roof antenna. That part alone is $80 and you have to completely disassemble the headliner to get at the antenna.
Wiring up an actual XM antenna to take the place of the OEM roof antenna? I've searched the web and can't find an adapter plug.
Golf V R32 :: Only FM Radio Band Appear On Factory Nav
At least once a week, only the FM band appear on my factory nav. My sat 1, sat 2, and fm2, and am1 band all dissapear. I have to turn the car off and back on to get everything to work again.
The cars currently in the dealer for an other issue and they are looking into this one also. Seems not much is going to happen as it's unduplicabale. I even showed them the videos I have take of it happening. Call VWOA and they said they will look into it.
I had the sirius module replace once, new firmware twice, and in the dealer another time and they couldn't replicate the issue.

View 14 RepliesCamry :: 2009 LE - Factory Radio Adjusts Volume On Its Own
I have an 09 Camry LE. When driving, the volume is consistent until I begin braking. It then lowers the volume itself. When I accelerate, it ramps back up.
Also on the highway, the bass is excessive. I usually turn it down to -1 or -2 depending on the track. The car is completely stock. I've had the car for a few weeks now.
This is the only factor that may lead to me replacing the stock radio. I don't want too, but if this problem can be solved by that, than I will.
Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: 2011 - Factory Radio Turns Itself Off
I've been having trouble with the stock radio in my 2011 SF. It randomly turns off, then turns back on by itself, 5 to 10 minutes later. It comes back on in whatever mode/ station it was on when it turned off. I've pressed every button, tried to insert a cd, and tried the steering wheel buttons. The USB power goes off too.
The station memories stay, so I don't think it's a power issue, at least at the fuse level. The battery is fairly new. I've cleaned the fuse and both ends of both ground wires in the engine bay. When I cleaned the fuse, I lost station memories, is there two fuses for the radio, perhaps? Or does the memory power and radio power split after the fuse box?
have a GPS and don't use Sirius/XM anymore. I've read part of the radio/ nav system sticky, wow, is it long.
Camry :: 2007 - Wiring Scheme For Factory Radio?

View 14 RepliesExplorer :: 96 - Factory Radio Speaker Wire Color Code
So my son cut the factory speaker wires on his Explorer. I bought a new radio for him prior to the "CUT" and the new radio comes with a simple wire harness (2 green, 2 purple, 2 white, 2 grey). The picture shows the factory wires attached to factory module. The "New" speaker wire harness identifies which wire is for what speaker but I need to know what factory speaker wire would attached to the new wires. Based on the picture, how to identify the speaker wires and determine which wire goes to which speaker?

Adding a sub and put it under the front seat? I know a lot of people put it under the rear but i don't want to sacrifice cargo carrying space under the fold up seat in my 2012 Supercab. I was considering a Kicker 8" Hideaway. I don't need pounding base. Just more base.

Today while driving around on the back roads the radio signal faded in and out quite a bit. I don't remember it happening before like that. I was curious if a Pioneer head unit would have the same issue due to using the same antenna or if it's just the factory head unit causing the bad reception.

So I have a 2011 GLS with a little under 36k miles on it. Every time I drive over anything from a small to a big bump, there is a nasty sounding thump in the left rear of the car. I do have a sub back there, but it weights well over 90lbs so I can't think its that moving around. I do need new tires soon so i do not know if that is a factor at all.

View 10 RepliesPassat (B6) :: Metallic Sounding Clunk Front Right When Went Over A Bump
I had my brakes done almost two weeks ago and last week I noticed a metallic sounding clunk front right (I think) when I went over a bump. It's hard to replicate but I've heard it a few times. On the weekend I reversed and heard that same clunk. When I went forward slowly, I could hear a sound that can only be described as a few screws in a rotating soda can. When I sped up, all sounds disappeared.
I took it to my tech yesterday on the way home. He found a bit of a loose fit between the new caliper and what it attaches to, which he fixed. However, the sound persists. Tech said all suspension components seem tight and normal.
Prius (2010-12) :: Tinny Clunking Sounding Rattle - Catalytic Converter Failing
Took my car to a shop today after I'd been experiencing a "tinny clunking" sounding rattle. I was worried it might be my catalytic converter and after couple of bumps on the exhaust system while on the lift, the tech thought this was indeed the case. Replacing the catalytic converter could be a $1500+ job from what I hear if replaced by toyota.
