If you push the remote lock button twice the horn beep is very load and startling. Can this be programed for a lower volume sound?

I just picked up my new 2010 Golf (2-door manual, gas) a couple of weeks ago. I'm planning to take it back to the dealer for the first checkup soon. I'm having a minor issue with the car and am wondering if others have experienced this or if I have something set improperly. I've gone through all of the adjustments available through the trip computer menus to no avail.
Basically, the courtesy lights for the interior of the car don't come on when the door is opened. The sensor on the door apparently works as the "door ajar" signal comes on the instrument panel when the door is open.
The switch on the headliner works to turn the lights off (left), stay on (right), but in the center position, which according to the owner's manual is supposed to be the "door open" position, the lights do not come on.
I also hate the horn that beeps when I lock the car. I often come home from work after my kids are asleep and I try not to make noise. There doesn't appear to be a setting for this in the owner settings menu through the trip computer. Can the dealer turn this off for me?
Interesting, today VW sent me an email with a link to some "welcome" videos with how-to information about features on the car. On the remote locking video it just showed and described the turn signals flashing when locking, but no horn.
Otherwise, I'm enjoying the car a great deal. It drives wonderfully and is very quiet on the freeway. I just love the new seats on the 2010 base Golf as well. They remind me a lot of the Recaros on my old Jetta 16v.
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Hazard Lights / Horn Feedback Not Working When Locking Car
I have a 2011 sonata gls. Today I noticed when locking the car with the remote keyless entry, the hazard lights don't blink, and also no horn feedback when the remote is pressed twice within 4 seconds. I checked all settings in the display and horn feedback is set to "on". The unlock on the fob works fine, the hazard lights do blink for that. I know this is not a serious issue, just used to hearing and seeing the doors lock. What to look for to fix this?

2010 Passat wagon. The locking horn chirp on the Passat is way too loud. I know I can turn it off, but I was wondering, if can change horn to a chirp instead. (I think this locking horn is different from the actual horn on the car, but I'm not positive) My Touareg chirp has more of a bird chirp sound which is much more subtle that the fog horn style of the Passat. If I lock the Passat late at night it wakes up everyone in the house. Also, how do you access the horn, it sounds like it is inside the passenger front fender.

A couple months ago my VW Passat started locking itself and sounding the horn spontaneously, and now it is rolling down the windows randomly as well. My key isn't in the ignition when this happens. I got locked out once which was annoying, but now the windows rolling down make it a security issue and I really don't want the windows down in a parking lot during the next snowstorm. The heater quit working last week, too.
The car is only 2 years old and the dealership said they can fix the heater but they aren't sure what would be wrong with the spontaneous horn/window/locking problems.
Golf IV R32 :: No Horn When Locking Car
This has happened to me before and usually when someone else is with me and they close the passenger door funny then i go to lock it and no beep. So i make sure to close all the doors again including the hatch then i lock it and i get the beep from the horn. But recently no matter what, the horn is no longer beeping when i arm the car. Car is still armed. Alarm goes off if i open the door when locked, but just wondering why the horn beep is gone upon arming.

My new Passat has the keyless locking system and ATA (anti Theift Alarm) and the ATA confirm is enabled . When I lock the doors the headlights flash but the horn alarm does not sound unless I lockthe doors twice. My 2014 Passat sel with the keylass lock system horn sounded when the doors were locked the first time. Also on the 2014 if the trunk is opened with the doors locked the horn would sound when the trunk lid is closed. This is not the case with the 2016.
I have been in contact with VW customer care. The rep has been trying to resolve the problem to no avail. VW is trying to tell me that due to consumer complaints the 2016 was changed to sound horn on the second locking.
This sounds like a copout to me when the ATA confirm can be disabled in the MFI settings.

The tone of my horn changes intermittenly from normal sound to high pitch. The high pitch sounds similar to a Japanese made 4 cylinder...for lack of a better description.

I just purchased a used 2016 Hyundai Sonata SE. Inspected the car from top to bottom upon purchasing but failed to check one thing. I have discovered the horn does not chirp upon locking (pressing fob lock button twice). The system panel shows the car has this feature and the box is checked to do so. The doors do lock and the lights do blink. The panic button when pressed on the fob also makes no sound. Again, the lights blink on the car itself when the panic button is pressed. I have researched and have came up empty.
I can not seem to locate the hood switch or sensor on the car where older models seem to be. Dealer says it is in the latch on 2016's but I am uncertain this is correct as I called several dealers and got different answers each time. They all want me to bring the vehicle in but run the risk it is not covered under warranty depending on the issue. Car has 39K miles. Horn works fine. Carfax was clean so supposedly accident free. I'm focused on the hood switch because most of my research pointed in this direction.

How come this isn't in the MFD settings? I hate my horn beeping when I lock the doors. So are we able to set this to not beep? I think on the MKV it was under ATA settings or something.
