Passat (B7) :: Passenger Side Headlight Assembly Replacement
I am in need of replacing the passenger side Front Headlight assembly. I was wondering, how to assemble it outside of a repair shop. I was also looking to possibly get the part number so I can make sure I am purchasing the correct product for my 2012 VW Passat SE.

My blinker housing is cracked and I can't figure out how to remove and replace it. It looks like you might have to pull the mirror glass to get to the screws. Is this the case? If not, how do you do it, and if so, how do you pull the mirror glass off without it breaking?

My daughter backed out of our garage and clipped the passenger side mirror assembly on our brand new 2017 Santa Fe. The casing on the assembly is broken where it hit our garage door track, but the camera, etc. works fine. I was quoted over 900 bucks to replace this part - 87620 4Z500 - and I'm assuming that is a quote for ALL of the parts of that assembly (guts and all). Everything works, and we'd just like to purchase the plastic casing, have it color matched and DIY. Is there anyway to do that?

My passsenger side rear wheel hub assembly needs replacing and I am having trouble removing it. I have removed the rotor, the 4 bolts holding the hub, applied generous amounts of pb blaster, and struck it vigorously with a 3 pound hammer. Also, how to release the abs connection.

I locked my 98 passat yesterday with the key , activated the alarm and the horn honked and the lights flashed, but the passenger side turn lights will not go off, I pulled the flasher out and dis connected it but the lights stay on, I am guessing I have a stuck relay in the security system, but where to start looking. the turn signals will not flash with the turn signal switch or the hazard button pushed in, only the drivers side turn signals will work. This is my 1st VW and I am lost.

Last week, I noticed that my PS brake light was on, even when the car was off. I did not think anything of it, and figured I could get it fixed whenever I had some spare time.....then my battery died! Even with the batter dead, the light stayed on. I pulled numerous fuses, and none worked to turn it off, so I disconnected my battery (which did the trick). I have not jumped my car yet. I thought it might be the brake switch, but since it is just ONE light, and not both, am not sure that would be the problem. To note: I have a 2010 Mercury Mariner, 37k miles, and had a UHaul hitch installed about 3 years ago. DR brake light goes on when brakes are pressed.

At first the passenger side front parking light would randomly not turn on until you gave the light assembly a hard tap. Now I am having the same problem with the driver side low beam light. I checked the harness connector and it clicks firmly into place. So, I am guessing there's something not grounded properly somewhere on the light assembly. I'm hoping that a light film of dielectric grease will work but I can't tell where to put it.

I installed LED tail lights a few months ago, now all of a sudden the passenger side does not light for brakes or turn signals. The lights came with resistors that I put in when installing and the adhesive wore out and they were dangling in the truck frame. The wires connecting the resistors to the light were damaged. I taped the exposed wires and secured them a with a heavier tape, but taping did not work. I also tried switching the resistor packs with the driver side to see if it was them that have an open winding, but they are still operable.
I narrowed it down to wiring between the trailer hook up and passenger light assembly in the electrical circuit. I plugged an LED light bar into the trailer connection and the same problem occurred (running lights come on, but no turn signal or brake light). Where could there be a short? Or is this circuit fused somewhere that the running lights come on but a separate fused circuit triggers the higher voltage for LEDs.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Yellow Turn Signal Light On Passenger Side Is Not Turning On - Blinks As Normal
I'm having a weird issue with my passenger side turn signal light. It's more of an annoyance than an actual problem. When I turn on my headlights both yellow turn signal lights also usually turn on but the passenger side one is not turning on anymore. The odd thing is that it still blinks as normal when I engage the turn signal. I replaced the bulb but it did not resolve the issue. I'm thinking it's an electrical short somewhere. It's not the wiring in the headlight housing because I tried an old housing I kept when I replaced my headlights last year and I still had the same issue. What I should check first?
