Touareg :: Compass Display Backlight Flickering?
I complained about this 8 months ago and they replaced the compass display module. Then my battery died about 6 months ago and they replaced the compass control module. Now it's flickering--worse than the first time where the backlight was turning on and off. It's just the backlight that appears to be flickering.

This has manual knobs - NOT CLIMATRONIC. This actually happened months ago, I bought a new bulb, pulled trim piece and it looked like a PITA. It appeared that I would have to remove the radio to pull the climate control module, but I didn't want to bother w that at the moment. I'm sorta hoping that it is like the B5 Passats in that the bulb is just behind one of the knobs and it's accessible by pulling the knob off. I wasn't sure though, so I didn't want to start pulling on stuff till it broke.

The car is a Taurus Wagon. It does not put out any heat. It is a flapper door issue. I tried changing the blend door actuator as the old one did not move when the temperature was changed from cold to hot. Unfortunately the NEW one doesn't either, nor does it move when left hanging, not in the dash. It is an automatic temperature control unit. When I had the actuator out from under the dash, I could move the blend doors easily with the little lever, and get excellent heat, so I know it's not a heater core issue.
Everything on the dash unit, which includes the stereo/radio controls and buttons to shift the air from floor to defrost seems to work fine. It shows the desired temp, but won't go to it. I have checked two fuses that are supposed to feed the HVAC system. I have even installed a different dash unit from another Taurus to see if it made any difference. That included a second temperature sensor, the "Y" shaped thing near where the white hose connects to the back side of dash unit.
I admit, I'm lost. I don't have a good wiring diagram, and don't know if I could read it well enough if I did.
Is there a relay or something in the system between the controller and the actuator that I don't know about?
Which wire or wires in the multi-pin connector that plugs into the blend door actuator are supposed to be hot at what point?
Passat (B5) :: 2003 - Heat Has Stopped Working
The heat in my friend's 2003 V6 Passat Wagon auto has stopped working. Coolant was flushed . He say's he smells a burning smell when he drives it. The heat will be set to max but no heat will come out. These are the codes I found.

Passat (B5) :: Key Fob And Flickering Light
2000 Passat wagon v6.
Both key fob buttons do NOT work but they will manually unlock the drivers door and drive the car. They both had batteries replaced.
Also, every time I open the door, the interior lights will flicker on every 3 seconds until I start the car then it goes away.
Passat (B5) :: Intermittent Flickering Of Battery Light?
So, I have have an intermittent flickering of the battery light. The weird part is that it ONLY happens between 80 and 85 mph. Any faster or slower and it doesn't happen. It's not a steady flickering, but a random intermittent flicker. What the issue may be? The car has a new (within 2000 miles) battery and alternator. 1.8t with manual transmission.

I have the Bi-xenon's I had installed on the top and I wanted my Fog lights to match. At a performance shop they installed Can Bus Ballasts with 6000K light to match the top Xenon's. I turned Cornering lights off in VI -COM so my car will stop kicking on the dash light every time I turn a corner. Here the weird part.
If I turn my fog lights on during the day NO FLICKERING. But at night the front left Flickers. I've replaced the Ballast and the light and it still does it. I think it has something to do with the Automatic Switch that turns the lights on at night.

The battery light on the dash is flickering...mostly off, but the light (battery symbol) lights up ever-so lightly...then off, then on...on for about half of a 45 minute drive last night. The last month or so, I have noticed that my dash board lights (red lights) and my actual interior lights that come on when you open the doors to vehicle will flicker sometimes...And it can get bad I guess and annoying. It's more of it pulsating really. I noticed today while driving home and I had the radio on loud it was doing it and I do not know if was just in my head that it was doing it more when the radio was loud or what, but this is ridiculous.

99 passat with 160,000 miles. I am having a issue with my instrument cluster panel. RPM gauge keeps flickering and when i brake it drops all the way to zero. Also when i brake the oil light starts flashing. I had it in a shop and the guy said the oil was fine and that he though the cluster panel was bad. What harnesses or adapters do I need to get my some aftermarket speakers plus my aftermarket subwoofer hooked up. I have a 4 channel for the speakers and a mono for the subwoofer.

Honda - Odyssey :: 2003 - Flickering Lights On The Dash Randomly While Driving
At 130,000 I replaced the transmission. Now, randomly the car has flickering lights on the dash while I am driving. The radio flickers, and the tach/speedometers drop to zero. After this happens and I turn off the car, the car will not restart. It is completely dead. If I wait 2.5 minutes, there is much clicking in the dash, then everything comes back to life. No one can figure it out. I will add that in the 9 years I've owned this thing, I have replaced 5-6 batteries. The transmission guy says something is pulling on the battery, but he nor Honda can figure out what it is.

I have a VW Passat V6 1999. i got 2 codes that came on p1625 and p1749. i checked those two codes and they were the same similar codes with the same reading: Transmission Control Unit Incorrect coded. Explanation: Check coding on TCM- wrong module, and Data - Bus powertrain implausible message from transmission control explanation: open or short circuit condition. the catalytic converter is missing. the car also has trouble starting up. but my main question is what do i do to fix the "Transmission Control Unit Incorrect coded"?
