I just bought a 2008 Passat last week, and am still learning all the features in the car. I previously had an '05 Jetta, and I was able to remotely open all of the windows by holding the key in the unlock position.
My manual says that I can roll down all of the windows from the remote by holding the unlock key on the remote, but it doesn't work. I have even checked the settings to make sure that the "Convenience" option is set to "All" windows. Am I missing something? What do I have to do to get the windows opened / closed remotely?

So today I went to work forgot my lights on and when i got done working my car battery was dead. I jump started the car and now the windows dont roll up with one click and when I lock car doors only driver door locks how could i fix this problem do I need to reprogram ?

2000 Passat 1.8t 5Speed... Drove to school today, Parked, the windows wouldn't roll down, the locks weren't working, the trunk wouldn't open so i tried starting it. The car wouldn't start. Charged the battery. Still nothing. Tried jumping it, Nothing. So i had to push start it and it ran but nothing still worked.
Drove it home. and it wont start still. I looked it up and some one said they had the same problem, and it was the CCM (comfort control module)? Is this what it sounds like. No dash lights or lcd warning came up. fuses are fine. radio worked. headlights. dash worked. nothing else though.

I was wondering if it's possible to get my windows to all close when I press my central locking on my Passat? It's a 2001 B5.5 model with front and rear electric windows. Is it possible and if so how?

Passengers can roll down the power windows on front passenger door and both back doors. But, they cannot roll the windows back up. The only way they can do that is to have me do it from the driver door. The window lock button is unlocked. I am thinking some is wrong with the driver main window controller since it all goes back to it.

I drive a 2011 GTI. The other day I left my car parked in the sun for a while so it was all hot and stuffy inside when i came back. I rolled down all four windows and then pulled out the key after they were all the way down. Within like 3-5 sec, all four windows rolled back up by themselves.
This kinda threw me off cause I didn't expect that to happen. I tried to show my friend later to impress him but it didn't do it. So im thinking whether that was just one of those freaking moments that only happens once, or is this an actual feature that comes in the GTIs.

OK, all the cars/SUV's I have owned in the last 4 years had a great feature. If you held down the unlock button on the keyfob for a few seconds you could roll down the windows and open the sunroof.
A GREAT feature to let the heat out while you're approaching the car on a hot day or to just let fresh air on other days. Can it be done?

The windows/moonroof wont open when using the fob. I unsuccessfully tried pressing and holding multiple button combos. with every other car I've had. I just had to hold down the unlock button or press it a few time.

Elantra HD (2006-10) :: 2009 - Rear Windows Won't Roll Up
I got a 09 Elantra and my rear windows will not roll up.. unless I use the switches in the rear doors. So, from the front I can roll them down but not up. if i need to roll them back up I have to get out open the rear door and use the switch in that door.
I am hoping it is the switch.. but which one? the one in the front doors. or the ones in the rear doors?
