Lexus SC430 :: Stereo Or Steering Button Do Not Increase Or Decrease Volume
Sometimes the volume button on the stereo nor the buttons on the steering button do not increase or decrease the volume. I can turn the stereo on and off - still the same. If I turn the engine off and on - this issue goes away. It's only just started happening in the past few weeks.

I test drove the sc 430 the other day, I found it very smooth and very soft ride. I noticed that when I accelerate the car feels heavy as if it lacks the torque. Is this normal?
Also, the steering felt loose at high speeds above 60mph. Is this normal?

I was reading through the forum and I have not seen anything on an upgrade for the 4.2's performance...I want to bring the cars' hp closer to 400 without hurting the fuel economy too bad or maybe even improving it...The 4.2 is a heavily used engine by VW and Audi so I know there HAS to be an engine upgrade somewhere on the net I just do not know where to start or what to do...also is there an aftermarket exhaust upgrade available as well?

Ok, so I now have a low pitched tone coming from somewhere and it is amplified in the cab. It's a low moan of sorts that has started after replacing the ficm, blue spring, alt and batts. Probably not related but sounds like a hose/tube is off somewhere. Visually I cannot see anything under the hood loose, and it is not heard as well there either. I hear what sounds like it at the air filter inlet by the radiator, but nothing back near the firewall. What the heck caused it?

So in one of the owner's manuals, Lexus states that use of EV mode does NOT increase overall mileage. I was surprised by that. If this is the case why have it? I have been using EV mode after I get off the freeway and drive a couple of miles through our subdivision. I deplete the battery almost completely (2 bars) but make it into the garage. Will this damage the traction battery and should this not improve the mileage. The engine runs in the morning anyway to warm up and the battery charges up then. I am just wondering how others use the EV mode.

About 2 months ago i was driving and heard a clicking noise that would increase the faster i drove, i 1st thought it was something in the tire. after checking my right front tire and saw nothing was there for some reason i figured it was the brake.....so my personal mechanic the next day took off the wheel i told me i had to replace the braking kit because one of the pins was rubbing on the rotor, in the mean time he pulled it to try to realign it into place.....after he did that i realized the steering wheel shuddering when braking at highway speeds....figuring since i needed the braking kit that when replaced, this new problem would b solved.....braking kit replaced problem still there....

I turned on the climate control this morning when I started the car and tried to change the temperature, then for some reason until the car was warmed up the climate control went to lo and seemed like it was locked there.
Once I the car got warmed up, the climate control worked was normal. It seemed like the increase/decrease controls were locked.

I picked up a 2015 gs350 f sport in atomic silver / black. I'm excited to pull out of the parking lot and get on the road! Yeah, not so much. As I take a turn onto the road I notice it's very sluggish, like starting off in third gear sluggish. I eventually get up to speed and wander if the floor mat is stuck under the pedal or something, whatever. anything but the car is broken.
I eventually get up to speed. Everything is fine. I don't accelerate hard because the the car only has 12 miles on it. Otherwise it drives like it should. Off the freeway and at a stoplight with an incline. Start to go, same thing. I pull over, turn the ignition off and back on. Car is fine.
So later that night (43 miles on the ODO) CEL and Trac off lights up. Car will not get up over third gear. Make it another 2 miles home and park it. I'm pretty distraught.
Took it to the dealership, don't know what they are but 2 fault codes came up. One for a shift solenoid and another having to do with the torque converter. Under 100 miles on the ODO!
So I'm with a red ES loaner car. Never seen it on a brand new car.

The lexus sc430 is nice but when I floor it , there is a 2-3 second delay until she kicks down and really takes off. Someone said there is actually an adjustment on the transmission to eliminate this delay. Never heard of such a thing.

Just bought my sc and the top won't go down,when I press the button nothing happens no blinking lights or noise.if I open the windows and press the close button the Windows go up,but when I press the down button nothing happens.
I have the trunk cover close and I checked all the fuses in the trunk but they all seem fine nothing blown that I can see.i disconnected the battery overnight and still nothing. I also checked in the glove box and the button is pushed in like it is suppose to be.
