Passat (B6) :: Heavily Worn Part Is On Inside Of Both Front Tires
Getting new tires very soon. I noticed this wear pattern on my front tires. The heavily worn part is on the inside of both front tires. Is this normal wear for our cars (I do go around the turns pretty fast) or should I have an alignment done once the new tires are on?

Lexus GS 2013+ :: 2015 - Part Of Inner Fender Ripped Off On Front Driver Side
While I was driving home tonight, i rolled over something essentially ripped off part of the inner fender on the front driver's side. I think it might be a two or three piece set for the inner fender. the front section that protects some fluid tank and the headlight stuff is now gone. the top and rear pieces are damaged. I will post photos/videos tomorrow during daytime when I remove the remaining pieces (can't drive with them in). I don't know if there are any differences between the various years, but I do have a 2015.

Going up hills, I noted the eco lite remained lit during the downshift mandated by cruise control to maintain preset speed. However, during ascent with cruise control off, and slight decrease speed (no downshift) the eco light will go off. Kinda counter intuitive, that slowing down during ascent would be less economical than maintaining set speed during climb.

Last night, I changed to winter wheels and drove today with no problem. Just now one the way home, the low tire pressure warning light blinked for a minute and remained on. I checked the tire pressure and all 4 tires are even at 35psi. I tightened all wheels properly at 76 ft/lb using a torque wrench.

I took my wife's 2010 tig for a drive after washing it this morning and noticed water on the rear window so I turned on the rear wiper. Well, to my dismay, the wiper didn't clean the water off because it was on the inside. I noticed water streaks on the inside part of the rear window a few weeks ago but I figured it was from condensation. It wasn't one or 2 drops, it was leaking down across the whole back window. I assume it is a seal but wanted to see if this is an identified issue.

Yesterday (Saturday), I stopped to get gas in my 2004 Passat. I left the gas station and forgot to put the gas cap back on and close the gas cap door properly. I drove about 2 miles home and then noticed I had left it open so I closed it. I didn't drive the car anymore yesterday but then took it to church this morning and when I did, the malfunction indicator lamp (yellow light that looks like an engine) came and and remained on. I turned the car off and then restarted it and it remained on.
When I looked in the owners manual, it says this is related to the emissions system. On other cars I've owned, not having the gas cap on tight can cause the "check engine" light to come on so I'm basically assuming the equivalent happened here. Any way to turn that light off easily? I assume it would go out over time and/or the next time I get gas as has typically been the case in other cars I've owned (including a 2000 VW Eurovan). The car runs fine and doesn't seem to have any other issues or problems.
Lexus RX 2004-09 :: 05 RX330 Starts Pinging At Part / Light Throttle Once Engine Fully Warmed Up
My wife's RX is really starting to give me a headache. The first problem I'm having with this car is detonation. The car starts pinging at part/ light throttle once the engine is fully warmed up. The is no CEL or codes pending. After scanning the car it seems that fueling is right where it should be and nothing else seems out of order. The pinging stops when you hit the gas harder. So far the only way to rid the car of this problem is to fill with 93 octane and that gets expensive with a daily driver. Shouldn't the knock sensors be handling this? Is there a way to test them?
The second problem I have is the heat won't turn off. Hot air always comes out at what seems to be low fan. I can move the area it comes from ( dash vent, floor etc) but I can't turn it off. With the fan set to off and no settings chosen I still get heat.
The car currently has 78k miles on it

Recently been having a rattle sound from the inside ( passenger front side ) sounds like the door card area? Haven't been able to figure it out. Only happens when I accelerate "strongly". Have had my JoeZ axle back for a nice amount of time. Happens once in a while, not every time.

I can't open my 04 F150 Screw drivers side rear door. Darn it.
I just replaced the rear speaker in my drivers side rear door and when I re-installed the rear release door handle I must have missed the cable engagement. I closed it and now can not open the door.
The handle is installed, the screws (loosened) will not come out, the lower door panel is installed. The upper two snap on panels are still off. so I have access to the top latch but not the lower end.

This may be related to some posts I've studied but I'm still at a loss. My wife observed moisture inside one of the tail lights on her 2006 RX330. Upon further inspection, I noticed water standing in the lower section inside the outer cover over an inch high. After reviewing all of the posts about bugs in them, moisture in them, how to remove them, and whether the outside cover can be removed, I pulled it out looking for any cracks, etc to figure out how that much water is getting in since it hasn't been wet in over a week at least and no downpours, major things like a car wash...nothing. I'm still at a loss. I know that I could rotate it carefully 360 degrees without water escaping which meant the out cover was still sealed pretty good. I then rotated it to flat and the water poured out thru the electrical circuit board/bulb area. Could this be related to the same cause behind the headlight pseudo recall/replacement? Which way to go as I can find no signs of how the water got there.

Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Gas Door Not Closing - Little Tit Inside Didn't Pop Back Out
Having issues with the gas door not closing. I opened it a couple days ago, and the little tit inside didn't pop back out. I messed around with the lever under the steering wheel and with the unit inside the gas door. Got the tit to pop out, but once I opened it again, it didn't stay out. Not sure if I need a new cable from the pull lever to the door, or just the unit that's inside the gas door.

I bought my GX in Feb of this year. It is a 2009. Today for the first time I noticed that a red vehicle icon with a key inside it was flashing on the dash when the key was removed from ignition. I looked it up and saw it was a security icon showing the system was in security mode. I never had this light flashing until today.?
