My driver side does not fold in anymore. I can hear the motor but it doesn't fold.

Lexus LX 2008+ :: Side Mirrors Don't Fold Smoothly
I have a 2008 model LX-570. . . The side mirrors started to show issues. . . The left side: now completely does not fold. While the right side hesitates to fold and does not fold as smooth as before.
Is there any way to rectify this rather than going for two new pieces.
Passat (B5) :: 2000 - Fold Flat Side Mirror Won't Open
I have a 2000 V6 Passat and last week, when I tried to open the side mirrors from their fold flat position, they would not open. It was cold out (about 20 degrees) and I thought the mirrors might be frozen so I turned on the heated mirrors. They frost was removed from the mirrors, but they still would not open and I manually pushed the mirrors back into their normal location. I can adjust both the driver and passenger mirrors from the inside control knob. I have checked the mirror fuse and its ok. Is there a relay or other fuse that would control the fold flat motor?

Alright so, I've done a lot of research to come across a mirror motor and I found one, problem is I don't have the slightest clue on how to take the morror apart. It attempts to fold then stops. So, I kind of jumped the gun and tried to pop off the main mirror and I cracked it. How to disassemble the mirror.

My self-closing door feature on my driver door has stopped working recently. The other three doors self-closing door feature works flawlessly.
Is there an easy solution, such as a fuse? Or, does something else, more extensive, need to be done, i.e., should I seek out a professional mechanic?
As an aside, around the same time (if not the same time), my folding side mirror for my driver door stopped working. Any possibility they are related?
Passat (B5) :: Power Mirror / Fold Flat Function Won't Work
I'm having a problem with my power mirror switch.
1. The fold flat function doesn't work at all
2. The driver mirror won't move with the switch. No motor sound at all
3. The heated mirror's function doesn't work.
I checked the connections and there fine. It's just a very annoying problem with fog on the mirror's with the weather getting colder now.

A fellow ford driver (f150) pulled around a car on a residential street and clipped my mirror. His whole mirror as removed from his white beater truck. My mirror has the bottom plastic housing broken. Power fold and in/out and all glass movements work. How do i fix. Do the housing on the manual fold mirror with signal is the same as the power fold.

Having issues with their mirrors folding in? One of mine makes a popping sound and will not fold in or out. I can hear the motor running, sounds like a gear is out of alignment. Not the typical "why don't they drop down" question. Mine do drop down in reverse. Any way to only drop the passenger side mirror? I strongly dislike my driver's mirror dropping down.
I frequently find and park in a space with a curb to the right of the car. And I park close to it to leave maximum space to the car to my left. In order to minimize the door dinging potential. I like the RH mirror to drop so I can put the tires like an an inch or so to the curb.
But I very rarely ever curb park to the left side. It makes it too difficult to get out of the car.
That being said, I look for obstacles out my LH & rear view mirror. I can't see obstacles when the LH mirror is pointing at the ground. Yes, I look at the screen in the car also.
Any way to change this? I have not found a setting in the customizable setting menu for this.

My passenger side power mirror won't move up and down anymore. It started out just moving very slow, now no moving. Side to side works fine, power folding is fine also. Does the up/down motor is replaceable or do I have to replace the whole mirror.

I have a 2008 touareg 2 V8. When we first got the truck everything was fine.. In the last month or so the driver's side mirror seems to be humming or buzzing at 50-70mph (80-120km/h)... If I fold the mirrors it goes away... Cross wind will make it louder, also it is intermittent... Maybe it's resonance?

How to tighten the drivers side mirror? It's rattling around and driving me nuts. It's loose at the pivot point not the door mount. It's the power/folding version. I looked at it but can't figure out how to tighten it. There is a little plastic access panel on the bottom below the pivot but there doesn't appear to be a nut or anything to tighten in there? Maybe I missed it?
